This was the reply to my asking Inchcape VW in Telford, " is there any chance of say £200 off for no p/x?, a straight deal where we come we try and buy?" The car I was interested in has been in stock for over a month, was circa £9000 at the time. *Update* The said car has now been reduced by £300+ this weekend. I'm glad Mr Sales Manager stuck to his guns because my wife loves her new motor! It is is a year newer, of better specification, £175 cheaper and was in a better colour. (our opinion and it's a £795 option when new) I'd just like to say a BIG thank you to Mr Sales Manager Telford for steering my wife and I into the direction of a much better car & deal. Antoine

Purchased a VW Scirocco in August 2018 from Volkwagen Telford. Within 10 days the car had to be taken to VW West London (My local dealership), due to a faulty gearbox and Techtronic's. Talk about caring for their customer's safety. When speaking with the manager of the branch, was told I should be "pleased someone was doing this work for free for me"...free? After paying above-the-market price for a car in hopes being from VW would provide piece of mind, what a genius! I wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase a car from here, unless they thoroughly enjoy disappointment. Because of my experience, I will probably never purchase another Volkswagen, which is a shame as I have been driving them since passing my driving test 14 years ago.

Inchcape Volkwgen Telford Clearly didn't believe I was a cash buyer. Told me the car and colour I wanted was not available. I bought from Stoke be as a result.
Bought a Golf GTI March 2018 from Darren Groves at Volkwsagen Telford. Late delivery. Work that was promised not professional done. 11months later£600 issue with coolant system. No help from anyone at Telford. Lesson learnt... avoid at all costs..

I went to Volkswagen Telford show room on the 1st February about 3.30. Had a look around not at any time was I asked if I was alright or weather I needed any help .very poor service so I will be taking my business to Stafford
April 16th 2017 - Went in to have an initial chat about the new golf R and after speaking to the guy behind reception (didn't get his name, older guy who works on reception) told him what I was in for, he told me to have a look around and he would see if anyone was available, a few minutes later he came back to advise me that a sales rep (Rihanna I think he called her) would be over once she had finished with a customer and it would only be 10 minutes maximum. I sat down in the reception area and actually sat there for 90 minutes without anyone coming over to give me an update, offer a drink or anything. I then had to go and collect my child from school so left without any more information than when I went in. April 18th - Returned to the Telford branch to see them again about the golf R. This time the receptionist (female) told me that it would be approximately 30 minute wait to see someone, she asked if it would be ok for a salesperson to call me instead. I gave her my details and what I was after and left. I am still waiting for that call...... April 21st - 3rd Visit.... as I saw a 'grey' golf R on the forecourt, still with the protective film etc all over it, no number plates etc. However, It was a colour I was interested in but wanted to find out if it was Limestone Grey or the new Indium Grey. I went in and spoke to the same guy on reception I spoke with first time on the 16th. I asked him if he could tell me the colour of this golf R, he said to me 'can you not just read the info page in the window of the car' in quite a stern way. I replied by telling him that the car was still wrapped from transporting and no info on it. He replied 'well that will be a customers car then, you can't look at that one' I said all I wanted to know was what colour it was. He then told me to look at the colour chart on the wall. My reply was, I wanted to know if it was limestone or indium grey and that it may not be obvious by looking at a 6" piece of plastic on the wall when there are several colours all very similar. He huffed at me and went off to ask someone. He returned and snapped at me 'it's indium grey' I said thank you and left. April 28th - visited the branch (again) and a was actually greeted by a sales person (young dark skinned chap) who was very helpful and showed me around a new golf r they had in stock but advised me they didn't have any to test drive. That was fine as I got to see the rest of the car. Happy with this visit. April 17th - Booked a test drive online for Sunday 21st April. April 18th - Tom rang me to go through the test drive booking. He said they didn't have any at the branch but Wolverhampton and Stafford did. He then said that I couldn't have the test drive for the day I requested. Instead he offered to ring me early the following week to arrange a suitable time to come down and test drive one that he would get in for me. So far I am yet to hear from Tom again and despite leaving a few messages for him to ring me I have heard nothing. Plus when I have rang and spoke to the older guy on reception he was been very snappy and abrupt with me. I really don't think he is very suited to be the face of the branch to be honest. I can honestly say I have never received such poor customer service from any car dealer before in my life. I will not be returning to Telford branch. I have since ordered a New Golf R from a different VW dealer and they could not have done more for me so far, ensuring I have been happy at every stage so far in the process. Therefore the Telford branch have missed out on my £37k purchase and I won't be taking my new car there for servicing or anything else I may need either. I also have a couple of friends who have bought used cars from this branch and the customer service they said they had received were negative too, and we are all in the same train of thought with regards to the guy on the reception.
Possibly the worse customer service I have ever experienced in my entire lifetime at Telford Volkswagen. Had the first purchased car exchanged under the 30 day Volkswagen exchange policy as it was not suitable. Decided on an automatic 2010 VW which was described as being in mint condition, with a full VW service history with only 35000 miles on the clock but did had a tiny scratch on the rear bumper that was hardly visible. It turns out the car has a dent rather than a scratch on both the bumper and the near side passenger door. In my opinion the service history has been falsified with a stamp from a M & E Engineer with a phone number that is untraceable. To add to the problems one of the keys is faulty and looks like its been pressed so many times there are fingerprints embedded in the key. The right drivers side alloy wheel also has lots of scuffs and scrapes. I have phoned the management several times and sent emails raising my concerns. Management have ignored every email and when I eventually got through on the phone I was told that when a suitable car comes in to the showroom they would welcome a part exchange and of course I would be losing money. I'm not a happy customer and want a full refund but this Inchcape owned dealership are refusing to help. In the past I have purchased VW cars from both Alan Day and Heritage. The customer service that was provided was outstanding on both occasions. I now have to go through the law to claim my money back from Inchcape. Would not recommend this dealership at all.
