Bought an Audi tt last month from Guild Auto in Blackburn. The car was wetted down before I arrived (hence why they like you to phone in advance) on getting the car home and seeing it in the dry every single panel on the car was paint damaged and botched up. The car vibrated terribly at 70mph the tracking and wheel balance was out (this cost me 95 pounds to fix and the car had a badly worn[buckled rear tyre, (which Guildauto replaced with a 35 cheapie that I had to drive to Ingleston to collect. The bonnet release catch came off in my hand the day I went to buy the car (an omen of things to come) and which they replaced by putting a large screw through only for it to come off again a week later resulting in me having to purchase one from Audi. The wheel bearing and buckled rear tyre were creating so much noise I had severe headache by the time I got home as did my son. Oh and there was oil all over the engine bay due to a fractured oil catch can pipe. Phoned the salesman Andrew up straight away and he said bring the car back and they would rectify the faults. seven returns to the garage later at my expense some of the mechanical faults were addressed but not the paintwork which several independent auto body sprayers described as "shocking for a car of this price". The salesman's promise that he would rectify the paintwork if I brought the car up an 8th time (I live in Galashiels) turned out to be just a delaying lie as when I went up the final time on the prearranged date to drop the car off to get painted he kept me and my 21 year old son waiting around for two hours before telling me that the owner of the garage wouldn't pay for the paint to be done. Do not buy a car from this garage unless you want to be ripped off. I part exchanged a perfect Mini Cooper D which the garage made over 2000 pounds on and sold within the week and yet they neither offered to reimburse my fuel costs or fix the "shocking'" damage to the paintwork as promised. I Had asked for my money back on several different occasions saying I was not satisfied with the goods but each time Andrew the salesman (who can be very persuasive) said the owner would not do this. In desperation I asked if they would contribute 500 pounds towards the car getting resprayed (I had several quotes ranging from 2-3000 from reputable body shops and they wouldn't even do that. I will be contacting Trading Standards asap

Bought an S Max for my wife depending on the faults being repaired on collection, they weren’t, had to buy a new battery for it the day after I got it’s the malfunctioning glow plugs killed the original battery. Took it back a week later, still couldn’t fix it. Month and a half later tried to return the car after it developed more faults, they refused to fix them and told me to take it to court.

Terrible! Should have realised when GuildAutos left a mechanic to hand over our car having driven all the way down from Inverness with a pre arranged time to pick our Grande scenic. Within days there was a warning light on, called guild auto and was told it was a common fault and to ignore it. So glad my gut told me to take it to a garage.... £800 later (only £80 covered by warranty!) Car was in a dreadful state, no way it should have passed MOT which was done just before we bought it. Call GuildAuto to talk about what could be done seen as we’d been sold a faulty vehicle and was given nothing but abuse over the phone. Disgusting service! And for your information, yes we’d already had the car nearly 6 weeks but I was a learner so the car had only done a hundred or so miles since we got it Home so it wasn’t normal wear and tear! I wasn’t going to leave a review but seen as the drivers window has now broken I feel why should you get away with treating a customer so poorly. Stay away fro GuildAuto!

Bought mx5 from GuildAutos and was pleasantly surprised when i arrived as car was ready for test drive, couple of things needed attention but was promised would be seen to which was.came with 1 yr mot and i have no problem with this dealer.
I bought a Jeep from Guild Autos not too long ago. The car was in reasonably good condition and a good price but I have had some issues with it that have taken quite a while to get resolved... I probably wouldn't recommend them based on that.
