It was time to change the car. A call to Anwar Hussein put us into complete overdrive. He knew exactly what we needed. A visit was arranged for 2 days later. Anwar is so helpful, informative, and charming. We needed to have space for my husband"s wheelchair and mobility scooter. Anwar lifted the equipment in and out of a Range Rover, a Discovery and then a Velar. We fell for the Velar and collected within the week. Thank you Anwar for your attention, your patience, and your charming manner.

Hi we brought a Discovery Sport from Guy Salmon Land Rover in Stratford On Avon, they did not have the colour we wanted so Ben Markall the sales person found the car we wanted. I would give Ben 5 stars he was very professional we paid a deposit on the car mileage recorded 9238 when we picked the car up the mileage was 12900 I have phoned Steven Cartwright who is a manager he told me he’d get back to me I am still waiting after several phone calls , the sales team work really hard , but after sales is bad. Myself and my husband visited Guy Salmon Stratford to contemplate a Land Rover Discovery, we were greeted by smiley reception ladies who then passed our enquiry onto Mark, who gave us a full detailed run down of the various vehicle options and also allowed us to take a vehicle out for test drive. After spending well over an hour with us, we left the showroom armed with all the details and prices we needed. The following day we phoned through to Mark and ordered our new vehicle, after speaking with Mark in detail we decided to go for the Range Rover Evoque, which we are soooo happy with, it is stunning and totally gorgeous to drive. Upon picking the vehicle up we were told of a slight issue with a door handle sensor which was in process of being sorted, the after service has been good and this slight issue was sorted. I would certainly recommend the Guy Salmon Stratford dealership and will be a returning customer for the next vehicle!

GREAT SALES TEAM, EXTREMELY POOR AFTERCARE. Called in one day and Anwar & Peter at Guy Salmon Land Rover in Stratford On Avon put some great figures together which resulted in me buying a used DS HSE 180 with loads of extras, I had some early issues with the paint protection they applied which left the paint feeling like sandpaper, Anwar had the car back trice before I deemed it acceptable. The first service was coming up and I was quoted £60 more than displayed on there web site and after bringing this to there attention they reduced the price. Shortly after the service problems started to appear, randomly it would jump out of drive and loose drive, the gear dial would be completely inoperable until the engine was stopped and restarted. The satnav would freeze randomly also, the reversing camera was lop sided, the drivers interior door handle had come loose and was rattling and finally there was excessive corrosion on the rear brake discs. I booked the car in for the rectification work but had to wait 6 weeks due to them not having any loan car available! The car went in for the day and all they managed to do was tighten the door handle, they agreed the rear brakes needed to be changed and told me the remaining work would be done on the next visit, I made arrangements for them to have it a month later for 3 days to allow enough time to complete all the work so I don’t keep having to go back to them. Whilst driving home I realised my dash cam was not working so I pulled over to checkout what was wrong, it turns out they disconnected it before taking it into there workshop but failed to inform me of this or that they pulled all the power cable out from the top of the screen back to the glovebox. So the car has been back for 3 days, they have replaced the rear brake discs and pads and I can feel the difference (excellent, well done GS). They have performed a transmission reset and only time will tell if it has fixed the loss of drive issues. 3 days was obviously not enough time as they need another day to update the audio and satnav software update and realign the reversing camera, so it’s booked in again next month (loan car availability?). Despite the terrible service regarding getting the work done in a timely manner and that I absolutely love the car, as soon as all the issues are put to rest I will never have any dealings with this dealership ever again, I would buy another JLR product but not from Stratford.

Having had to use the Consumer Protection Act to gain any degree of satisfaction from Guy Salmon Land Rover in Stratford On Avon you can imagine that I could not be less satisfied with their service. Their staff and company misled me in my initial purchase of a new Discovery Sport in respect to the stated 21000-mile / two-year service interval. Over a period of 20 months and just short of 20,000 miles the service indicator showed that the vehicle required servicing on average around every 4,900 miles or every 20 weeks. In dealing with this issue under warranty, on all four occasions Guy Salmon misled me again in the explanation of the fault, which appears to be a design issue affecting those who have a majority of shorter journeys. (I believe the Diesel Particulate Filter is positioned where it does not receive sufficient engine heat to operate effectively when on shorter journeys). It was only described to me by Guy Salmon as a software issue which was showing a high oil dilution rate and later that the DPF simply needed replacing. An internal Land Rover memo JLRP00100 clearly shows that the Discovery Sport has a design fault which affects the normal use of the vehicle. Those who regularly use their cars for shorter journeys should not buy a Discovery Sport and should not believe statements in respect to servicing intervals. (The 21,000 mile and 24-month servicing statements have subsequently been removed from sales and marketing literature, but I am not aware that the technical issue has been resolved). A flow chart appended to the Land Rover memo mentioned above, shows the required explanations to customers; the main focus of which seems to me to fob customers off until the warranty period is over. Although Guy Salmon were forced to purchase the vehicle back under the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, at no stage was I offered an apology for the treatment I experienced in my dealing with Guy Salmon. I believe the company lacks principle and integrity, has no moral compass and in my view should not be trusted.

Drove an hour with two children to be completely ignored by staff at Guy Salmon Land Rover in Statford On Avon. Shocking service! We stood by the model we were interested in (2018 RR) for about 20 mins and with three members of staff in work and with no other costumers on site, we were still ignored. Purchasing a car is a big investment, especially one with a list price of around 100k. It was disappointing that we received no offer of help or a drink or a “Sorry we are too busy to see you, can we make you an appointment to return another day?” When we looked back at reception it became clear why the staff were not that interested in helping us as they were looking at clothes on the internet! I think that says it all. We promptly left and from my experience I would suggest other customers take their money to a dealership that wants the business. Extremely poor show.
My experience on buying my new car and p/ex my former one was the most stress free from any dealership I have dealt with. Never dealt with this dealership before but from the first phone call I was made to feel my business was important to them. I dealt with Andy, Peter and finally Chris and they were all extremely polite helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them and they made the journey enjoyable. I would have no hesitation on buying from them again. The flowers and bubbly were a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Thank you all at Guy Salmon Stratford On Avon. Mary P.
Visited sales department at this Guy Salmon dealership in Stratford wishing to get figures for my husband who wished to trade his freelander for a new discovery sport. As he is very busy working I volunteer to get some figures for him to save him time Was served by a gentleman who was totally not interested took some details and said he would email me which he didn't. Was happy to spend 40 k and was looking for some decent customer service. Got the opinion that I was not worth his time not sure if because I was a woman or just not spending enough. Disgusting customer service and I would certainly never recommend anyone visiting this sales office.
