We were looking for a new car and went to Hyundai Colchester, the staff were so helpful and not pushy like some cars sales places. We went for a test drive and they showed us how the car worked, when we decided what we wanted they were quick with paperwork and showed us the app to help With our car, we would definitely recommend going there, if you want a friendly non pushy service.

I recently bought an almost new Hyundai Tucson from Endeavour Automotive in Colchester. Jack Lambert was very helpful in locating a vehicle that met my criteria and in arranging everything afterwards. It was very good value for money and the whole process was managed smoothly. No complaints at all.

I purchased a Hyundai IX35 from Hyundai Watford, that I was happy with. Unfortunately some year later It was required for a recall. I received a letter saying the recall was for a ABS fuse update and would take 15 mins, I booked it in, the day prior to having the work undertaken I received a text saying it would be required for 2-4 hours? I rang and was told this was a generic text and not to worry it would only be 15 min's. when I arrived at Hyundai Colchester the technician was waiting the receptionist gave him the work sheet writing on it "Requires VHC" I asked what that was and was told it was a vehicle health check and would take about an hour or so. I explained the car had just been serviced and MOT'd so didn't require a health check. THIS IS WHERE THE LYING STARTED, they said it was the law and they couldn't do the work without carrying out a vhc. I said if it just needed a bigger fuse put into the ABS System I would do it. they then said it had to be carried out by a Hyundai trained technician. I left. Next I received a call from the manager who said he would arrange for the car to be collected from my house the work carried out and the car returned. I questioned where it was written down in law that a vhc had to be carried out, he was unable to direct me to the law but did his best to assure me it is the law. The car was collected, when the person bought the car back he said it was VOSA law that said a vhc was required. I contacted VOSA who said it wasn't law at all and is carried out by some garages to look for work ie they can sell you a tyre if yours is nearing the limit. So it is not law and to add insult to injury my car came back with a scratch to the rear of the car. I have sold the car and it will be a cold day in hell before I buy another Hyundai I would advise everyone to steer well clear of this place

Nothing promised was upheld by the Manager, fake smiles and chat when he eventually comes out of his office from hiding from the Customers. Car not as video, numerous issues, were all apparently possible to resolve, but once he had the money - NOTHING was resolved. Just kept asking for the verbal promises to be proven to him in writing before he would uphold any. Have now returned the car, but even then they dragged their heels and made it as difficult as possible.

In my experience, Endeavour (Ardleigh, near Colchester) are all over you when you’re interested in buying a car from them. But they’re then astonishingly reluctant to reply - I’ve found - to emails, calls or a voicemail if you have a problem (as I have, several times over) with the car you’ve just bought from them. It’s not just treating their customer badly, in my view, but with sheer disinterest - post-sale, anyway. A nearly-new car that’s let me down twice already, this week. I’ve never had such a poor after-sales experience as I have with Endeavour, Ardleigh. A big shame as the car drives beautifully when it actually works properly. And Hyundai Assist always answer the phone promptly and do their very best to help. An example of customer service that others should endeavour to follow ...
I had a re call due on my Tuscon tensioners so booked it in with this garage. On the way to leave it with them the tensioner that it was having replaced broke. I was a mile from them and they would not assist me in getting it to them so I called the national number and they towed it in . Then they would not repair the vehicle under warranty because they couldn't reach the garage that had done the second service !! I was told by the service manager Amy that it would need a new engine (£8000) !! I asked how she knew that and she replied that it was the technicians hunch . I then contacted head office who advised me that the tensioner was due for re call so they should honour the work but they said it was a serviceable part and because they couldn't verify the second service in the book they could not do under warranty. So I called another Hyundai garage in Bolton who repaired the whole thing for me under warranty , unfortunately it cost me £600 In transport. Avoid this garage if you can .

Perry was very helpful advisor. Located a lovely used i10 for my daughter and provided a years warranty. Car not quite perfect but window chip and coin tray mat to follow. Many thanks for making the journey hassle free.

Obtained Hiundi i10 8 days ago sales man appointment 11 am he arrived to hand over new vertical 20 mins late was in meeting hurried hand over as he had to go on test drive with other customer . Our i10 faulty speed assist flashing beeping continuous warng sign to contact dealer they did not want to to know said they would repair it free in a month time they were usy and could not help said service problem not sales brand new obviously not checked through before hand over Rhey did not care and tone was not pleasant I am disabled this car is a life line they sold it faulty brand new never buy anything from then again be very aware and forewarned
