I just part exchanged my vehicle for a BMW at Halliwell Jones Chester. It was such an easy, stress-free experience. From the minute I walked in the receptionist offered my a lovely coffee. The sales reps were helpful but not pushy. Micheal Pinto my sales rep was absolutely fantastic. Great communication throughout the whole process. He was sending me updates and videos of when the car would be ready to collect. Even the finance guy was great! I've already said I'll see them in a couple of years when I upgrade. 10 out of 10.
BMW 520D Fault shows on dashboard where your mileage etc is normally displayed You cannot cancel the message Went to Halliwell Jones Chester to get looked at, and see if message can be “ erased”, until fault can be looked at. No..and first available date to book car in was 7 weeks in the future, two weeks ago quoted mid Jan 2024! Totally unacceptable

Buying the car was a great experience. Since then, no one replies to emails, no one phones back when they say they will and if you complain it gets escalated to more senior people who don't reply to emails. If you want a mini do get one but I'd be exceptionally wary of buying any service that requires you to interact with them once it has been driven off the forecourt. Before deciding to write this I: Phoned asking to book my car in for a valet. I was told they weren't sure if they did the valets they told me I was entitled to when I bought the car but would check and call me back. They never called back. I emailed after I'd scratched the boot of the car. I received a reply to say they'd be in contact in 4 hours. They never did. When the car was due a service I let mini know about my previous 2 experiences. I was told the free valets were "just a wash and vac" giving the impression that it was OK to miss out on them because they were a bit crap. I complained and a very nice man apologised, offered money off the service and said he'd make sure did what they said from now on. I emailed to book it in. I never got a reply. Great car, woeful aftercare.

I bought a 3 month old BMW 4 series from Haliwell Jones in march 2022 and dealt with Matt griffiths.I found his aftersales service absolutely shocking He never kept his promises and would never deal with this BMW dealership ever again

Bought a car off Peter moorhouse and within the first 30 days the car broke down and had to go to a bmw dealership in Stockton. It’s also got a faulty alarm that goes off randomly through the night I’ve asked Peter to swop the car or refund and he’s saying would only do either if major fault like the engine failed. Its the law to do as I’ve asked so I will have to go legal and occur bmw Chester legal costs before they agree to refund me as I won’t deal with them ever again.

Bought a car. 3 months later still waiting for my V5. Not their fault right? Wrong. 2 seperate people from sales telling different stories. Something very fishy going on. Either they lost the v5 and hoping i myself will reapply for the V5 or it wasnt present initially when car was sold to me. This is suppose to be a reputable car dealer. Anything but. And im STILL waiting for an explanation which i was told i would get on my last phone call to them. Its August, i bought the car in May. What a joke.
Car went in for a service and an item was removed from my car! Waited a week for an investigation only to be told that they escalated the case and decided they wouldn’t be held responsible without telling me! Item not valuable be very sentimental. No recall from HWJ, not interested! Very sad as I have been a customer now for over 10 years and feel very let down. I have spent a lot of money with HWJ and to have an item removed from my car and then ignored is extremely upsetting. Police have been informed as I don’t want anyone to feel the way I do!
Gross negligence resulting in potential fatalities. I took my 2014 BMW M6 here for a brake fluid service a couple of weeks ago. Two days after receiving the car back the braking and traction control warning lights popped up. I called them and told them about the faults showing and they said they would call me back to book the car back in to check over it (I assumed this was an electronic fault). They never called. The next day my brakes failed and my girlfriend and I were almost involved in a high speed collision. After being towed to a garage it turns out that this service centre had FORGOTTEN TO CLOSE THE BRAKE CALLIPER NIPPLES. My car alloys were covered in brake fluid and beginning to strip paint as a result. They are refusing to even refund me for this service (let alone 4 new alloys costing £10k+) so I am having to dispute the transaction with my bank whilst proceeding with a law suit against this establishment for gross negligence nearly causing a fatal collision.

The 1st star is for the quality of the waiting area, which is a bonus because you will spend a lot of time there as you have to keep coming back time and time again for them to correct their errors. The 2nd star is for the friendliness of the staff, who are all very approachable and polite. The 3rd star would have been for knowledge, but unfortunately they don't appear to have any. The 4th star would have been for customer service, and whilst the people are nice, they are pretty rubbish at actually doing their job. The 5th and arguably the most important star would have been for the quality of the vehicle service itself. It is a pity that, as a customer, so much of our money is spent on keeping the foyer white and shiny leaving very little money for actually undertaking the works.
