Bmw southport halliwell jones. Is a utter disgrace. They offered to buy my BMW back off me, I agreed and we agreed a price over the phone. At the dealership the offer was 600 pounds less than they had offered me over the phone. I was disgusted in the way they treat their customers. BE VERY WARY OF THIS DEALERSJIP

Servicing Scratched all my alloys wheels when had been for a service, but they did put it right. But who checks the cars. Sales Pushy and rude... This is the cheapest car on the internet why wont you buy it !!! well it was not the cheapest car.
I have had the misfortune to use Halliwell Jones Southport BMW on three occasions for two different BMW's now. On each occasions the communication is beyond frustrating. To book in for a service / mechanic you must use the centralised booking system which is vague and has no connection with the site so they are unable to provide any more detail other than a date available. The service staff at the Southport branch are very rarely available to speak to you when requesting progress updates on repairs so you have to leave your number with reception, on two occasions I have left my details in the morning and been told someone would call back the same day with an update, twice this did not happen. It took two weeks to have a clutch replaced on a 3 series, this is ridiculous on such a common car. Three days were wasted just trying to diagnose the problem (which the AA had already told them what the issue was).
Took car in for first service (car 2 years old) all staff were very friendly, offered us tea or coffee on arrival whistle we waited to be seen. Sandy in the sales team who we dealt with when buying it, still remembered us and made us very welcome. The service was carried out in a very professional manner and every point of the service was discussed before we paid for the service. On pickup of the car it had been washed and vacuumed. I would not hesitate to recommend Haliwell Jones BMW Southport.
I took my car into Halliwell BMW Southport for a recall, My car was running great with no problems, when I collected it, the car was vibrating also my car rev’s so much higher. They say it a fault that they didn’t create funny my car was fine when dropped off now I’m left with a car I carnt drive, they say flywheel problems and they say the car never left there garage not onece, when I dropped it off I was told that they didn’t do the recalls themselves and the work was done at a local garage. It Not right they shouldn’t be able to to get away with this as I know and they know there was nothing wrong with my car when I left it in their care. Will not be buying another Bmw and I would tell people to be very aware if leaving their car for work to be done would not recommend.
Buy a second hand car from Haliwell Jones BMW Southport and be treated like a second class citizen. Ripped off twice now, should have learnt from the first disaster.

If any company needed training in communication skills this one would be at the top of the list. I purchased a car from Halliwell Jones BMW Southport in September this year the first problem was that the DVLA showed my car as untaxed, I asked them to investigate this, The second problem was recieveing the tax refund from the car I part exchanged but because of mistakes made by staff and information not sent to DVLA I did not receive what I was entitled to. I accept mistakes can be made but that is not the crux of my complaint. I rang first about the problem and I get what I now understand to be the stock answer the sales person is with a customer I will get him to ring you. No one rings back so you ring again next day again stock answer eventually you get a call back and assured problem will be sorted. On one accassion after ringing 2 times over 4 hours and being told stock answer the sales person rang me back the day after and told me he didn't ring me because of a bereavement in family and only called in to work for half an hour. I then decided to call BMW complaints and asked them to help, I then recieved a call from the sales manager and asked to supply him with some information which I did. After another 11days still not sorted after ringing BMW who rang dealership who told them problem being sorted and they would connect me. I asked them to contact the Person in charge at the dealership to sort this out, they did and he told them this as gone on to long and it will be sorted. 10 mins later I recieved a call from sales manager who again asked me for the information he asked me for 11days previous I told him I had sent it to him he then checked his email and opologised as information was there in an attachment but he had not opened it. Problem sorted in next 24 hours but still await for an opology for all the time this to to sort with at least 20 calls from me.
I have never wrote a review in my life. However the after service at Halliwell Jones BMW in Southport is the worse service you could imagine. I bought a £60k car of them. The car had various engine faults and in the end they had my car for 10 weeks out of 13. Eventually I told them to just give me the car back as I actually bought another car it went on that long. They gave me the car back still not repaired. They even tried to cover up the fault and sell it to one of there approved BMW buyers for me. Terrible company if your buying a BMW go to Preston or Liverpool.
