Bought a car off them which had faults to which it was under warranty, they fixed a couple of issues (not correctly) but refused to do the others, it also took 4 months to fit a new timing belt which was out of time slightly causing the car to be down on power. I don't know if they're still existing in bunns wharf but wherever they are if you see the name hamblyn run.
This guy is a cheat, selling broken cars, please don’t buy anything of him, no matter how good the deal looks like, because you are going to regret it for rest of your life. I have just binned 5k buying a broken car, but I’m doing it all to get them back.

This feedback has been posted to help others avoid our disappointing experience with this dealership. Our central advice is … always look up the ‘full MOT history online’ and get accurate government data, for any vehicle from this particular company. This may be difficult, as website photos have their registrations ‘covered up’ - with a branding plate reading ‘Hamblyn.’ And this may be more than just innocent advertising? For the vehicle that we were interested in, we were given a paper MOT Certificate Summary with DVLA logo and most recent MOT Test – reading ‘Pass’ – with three of the past five year’s mileage readings. Please note there were some ‘missing years’ and gaps in this hardcopy evidence! Furthermore, we noticed that there were no ‘Advisory Notes’ or ‘Fail’ notices for this vehicle – which for a car over 25 years old (1995) seemed somewhat unlikely. Additionally, the Year of the Van on the website was advertised as 2005 – shaving a full 10 years off the real age – which they explained away as - ‘the year the car was registered’ in the UK. We also queried why the mileage on the website page read 67,800 miles … but on the dashboard this showed as 108,900? We were given the explanation that ‘this was an imported car’ and so the clock ran in kilometres … and that’s why looking up the real MOT history data was the only way for us to clarify these discrepancies. And so, to our shock, we found DVLA legal records with a recorded mileage back in 2010 that was 13,000 miles more than the most recent clock reading of 2022! We also found, in the MOTs that had been ‘left off the paperwork’ that they had provided, a litany of ‘Fail’ and ‘Advisory Notices’ from previous MOTs. Indeed, there were 35 such items, going back over the past 7 years, including refences to ‘offside and nearside integral body structure advanced corrosion’ where the ‘rigidity of the assembly’ was described as ‘significantly reduced.’ This is a dealership, then, that provided us with only half-truths! They have point blank refused to return any of the £200 deposit that we put down in goodwill – when we first indicated that we would like to buy the vehicle … based on their online statements and verbal assurances – once we decided not to proceed to a final sale, having read the DVLA records for this van. Sadly, ‘Hamblyn Cars’ do not respect the customer’s right to change their mind. Buyer – Beware!
