Catalogue of problems with their service department, from the cakey staff to the lack of skilled technicians. Major issues trying to get a fault diagnosed.
Where do i begin ? After a phone conversation i decided to buy a car from this garage .I gave a £250 deposit and awaited for paperwork etc online to be sent and also how i was actually getting the car delivered to me (I am in North East Scotland) It was agreed that i paid a delivery fee aprox £350 for my car to be driven to me and part exchanged with mine so i went back to signing my paperwork when i noticed it was the wrong address so i brought this up to them .I didnt want to sign until this was corrected and now i am so glad that i didnt ! Lockdown arrived which meant that it would be difficult to stay within guidlines so i decided to cancel for now , and was then told that they would still get my car to me at no extra cost ! I said thanks but no (i was starting to get warning bells about this) and can i please get my deposit back which i was told would be attended to that day but could take 4/5 days to go back into my account (fair enough i suppose) I waited 7 days then emailed to say i still havent received my money to which the guy that iwas dealing with said he had left it with someone else to do as he was off for a few days but was dealing with it as we speak .That was a week ago and money still not in my account so all in that has been 18 days ! I have not named the guy that i have been dealing with as i do not believe any of this is his fault ,he has been really nice right from the start. My advice to him would be ,go find a better place to work ! Sent yet another email off today and will be taking legal advice if money not back in my account today. Most unprofessional garage (or business for that matter ) that i have come across , Found another car at another garage and 3 days later had it home ,no hassles no wrong address no problems .

I bought a used Ford Edge from them a couple of months ago. Their web site states that they give their used cars a 145 point inspection for customer's peace of mind. I paid the deposit around 4 working days before collecting the car which was 234 miles from my home. When I arrived I noticed that the driver's door mirror indicator lens was broken. This was swapped for a new one while the sale was being completed. I needed to leave as quickly as possible as I had a long drive home. When I had a good look at the car the following day I noticed that the sunroof wasn't closing properly and the engine oil needed topping up. Also the rear wiper blade was split (I replaced this immediately and was reimbursed by the dealer ship). On further inspection I noticed that, at some point, the vehicle had been jacked incorrectly and the rear driver's side jacking point was distorted. Also the large plastic wind deflector at that point was damaged beyond repair. A replacement was provided by the dealership which I fitted. It's clear that this 145 point inspection never happened. Four days was ample time to correct these defects before I collected the car after a very long drive. Although some of the defects were under the car the dealership serviced the car at the start of lockdown, where it stayed until I bought it, when these defects must have been visible to the technician. So my advice is when buying from this dealership organise your own inspection, AA or RAC etc., and ensure any problems are sorted before buying the car.
My Son was keen to buy a car he'd seen at Hartwell Ford Hemel Hempstead. The sales man he spoke to, Mike, was very friendly and helpful. He organised for the car to be delivered to Hemel from another dealership site. After the test drive, we pointed out the remedial repairs we wanted, Mike took all these comments on board and organised for the works to be done. We also had dealings with Matthew Peterson, Showroom Manager who was very knowledgeable, friendly and ultimately helpful. 3 days since we collected the car, and whilst there's a couple of bits we hadn't initially noticed on the car (broken parcel shelf bracket) I'm confident that Hartwell Hemel Hempstead will do all they can to rectify as they have throughout my dealings with them. Well Done Team Hartwell Hemel Hempstead.

I bought my car from SkyFord also known as Hartwell Hemel Hempstead 3 years ago and have always met with such helpfulness and excellent service whenever I go there. Yesterday I had to call regarding a malfunction on my computer screen and within minutes - yes, minutes!! - it was sorted. Such pleasant engineers, so helpful and considerate. Would not go anywhere else!!
The dealership was helpful and kept me fully informed during my car purchase. They gave me good advice for future care of the vehicle. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking a new or used Ford vehicle.
