Took my discovery to Harwoods JLR Basingstoke for full service. Car was running smooth before service, no noise, no warning. Car was serviced within two hour of dropping the car which was surprising considering it was major servicing. They mentioned that brake pad and discs are nearing legal limit to which I said I will get this done after some time. After collection of car, I started experiencing noise from front brake and looks like suspension is not smooth at all. Also, started getting clicking noise. Upon going back to Service Centre, they said it is due to Brake Pad and Disc issue, My point was how come I didn't have any of these issues before servicing. I gave go ahead to replace these two. After that I had no communication back for couple of days. I called several times and all I could get in return is they will call back but it never happened. Then finally decided to visit the service Centre, they said they have just started working on it and I got response back in 30 mins that the work is completed! Even after replacing the brake pad and disc, my car is not the same anymore. Feel quite rough. Now, taking it to another garage to get it checked! Also, they didn't update the service record and I had to keep pressing to get this done. What a waste of time, money and frustration one has to go through! huh!!!
I would avoid using Harwoods Basingstoke, we took our Evoque in for full service last year and immediately after collection several electrical things went wrong. Took the car back in and was charged for faulty electrical wiring. Took the car in for a basic service this morning and at 16:30pm my partner was told that the car had several issues with it and would not pass an MOT so they are keeping the car or they will report us.They advised the battery is loose and needs changing, even though they were the last people to look at the car on the original service. My partner was left stranded in the cold waiting to be picked up by Harwoods for over an hour and has had no apologies. This is disgraceful and unacceptable. We will miss a very important appointment today because of no communication with Harwoods and they couldn't care less. These will be reported by us.

I had a very similar experience. Had the RAC out who looked over the battery and said it was an electrical issue - Harwoods then advised on a new battery (funny that!) Interestingly, the car was in a few weeks before for something unrelated. It doesn't take much to connect the dots here.
