The service team at Haynes Ford Maidstone were brilliant, extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend. I took my car in for a service and a tyre, they kept me updated all the way through the process, I got a little video with the health check information and was turned around in good time.

Hi My name is John pile I have opened up a case about my vehicle the ford kuga st line x due too poor quality of vehicle and driving experience,as I purchased the vehicle on 7th September 2024, two prior of purchase I took out a test car similar to the on i purchased still a kuga this year's model I had 15/20 mins drive on a smooth road and a motorway and dual carrage way so I thought the vehicle was OK when the test drive was over there in the show room was a new kuga and had a look around and noticed marks on the passenger door arm rest panel david Tompkins was my sales on the car and said he can get that replaced very well,once the car was ready too be picked up from haynes ford Maidstone the car was being cleaned so I was looking around the car is noticed the a passenger door panel was replaced but noticed scrape marks on the inner door where the new panel was replaced,the scrape marks are on the paint work david turned around and said I will get that book in ASAP in Canterbury so 2 weeks on i was not happy with the car and emailed david about these things but never heard anything back and week later I rang david and told to get used it and get the vehicle sorted well it's a new, car the priced at £43000 pounds and i put £5000 in as deposit and my payments are £463.00 amonth, still not heard anything back they are rude to ignore me the car is very plastic loads of noise inside car from the plastic rubbing a noise inside rear door the carpet under centre console is showing is a very horrible ride as you feel every impression of the road plus a lot of outside noise too like from the tyres and road service the car is cheaply made and not worth the money the rear door is not flush with the rear wheel arch my daughter doesn't want to go on long journeys because it makes her feel sick it's like driving a boat i do 50 miles a day and I'm glad it's not any further away I asked about the time scale for the paint being done and said December time to book you in so that rubbed in more salt in the wound aswell as the other problems Im disgusted in the way that no one cares and spoke too james barret in haynes Canterbury about my problems he just look at me and didn't care no solving any of my problems is like talking to a wet fish and didn't want the worries I have so I started a case against the Maidstone branch about returning my car as its not appropriate vehicle I'm disabled and suffer with anxiety and this isn't helping at all the front screen went blank and turned blue and then suddenly come back on for some reason plus the sun roof didn't shut and the five minutes late it did,the engine revs very high not like a automatic where it has different gears too go up this car as a motor run gearbox so mpg is very poor around 40 mpg not good at all please solve this issue as I not wanting to drive the car any more and no pleasure to go out,I spoke to the manager at haynes Maidstone and he is just a young jumped up person that had a negative aswner in to this vehicle soon as you signed the contract and leave the forecourt no one cares because they made the sale and got the money I will send pictures of some of the problems but still want to reject vehicle or put me in another new car? I'm willing to give that a go on a trial run

Vehicle had new turbo fitted at an independant garage, wouldnt replace the turbo even though it was faulty. Parts plus insisted vehicle had to be taken to Haynes garage for warranty. £300 to recover vehicle as not drivable. HAynes stated they carried out full inspection on vehicle, noted things that were incorrect and purly a lie. The turbo was not taken off, nor vehicle stripped to see that turbines in turbo not manufactured properly, see oil in the turbo. Haynes refused to do the work, charged £150 for a report which was useless. Vehicle back with independant garage after another £300 recovery fee. Vehicle stripped and videoed. Clearly a turbo fault. Advised Haynes that turbo will be sent away to independant garage to prove turbo fault. Advised Haynes they will be paying for recovery costs, labour to take off turbo, new turbo and labour to fit new. Disgusting customer servce, didnt do anything asked of them. When contacting, put on hold for over 30mins each time, then told someone would contact and never did. Not interested in complaints, now persuing this further.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! My brand new car was faulty and they reluctantly looked at it several times, did not fix the issue. On the last visit to Haynes they had my car for 5 days to look into the problem (again!) they took the car to Tescos in grove green on their lunch break and my car was damaged in the car park. They also “ cleaned “ my car and used a product that has now damaged the paint work. They are refusing liability and will not put right. So not only do I have a car that doesn’t charge correctly I now have a damaged door and paintwork.

This review has been left by the partner of an ex-employee who since went into a competitive business and has been copied and posted onto many review sites. Communications have been made offline with the customer rather than partner and the matter is now closed. The Haynes Group are in the process of asking for this review to be deleted. This site sadly will not remove the review.
Phoned them and told that i had already had someone out,and that i needed a screenwash motor replacement. On day car goes in. They sent a spotty young kid. Then i get a call a while later saying i need a new wiring loom which will cost £1153. Not a mention of what i went there for. They said they only worked on it for half an hour,so cost was £75. So considering i already had someone out. They hadn't addressed the issue for which i contacted them. They have the audacity to charge £75 for doing nothing(dash cam was running). Have nothing to do with this place. Absolutely terrible. Date car went in 10/03/2022.

As way of an update. I got the screenwasher motor replaced and fitted. total cost of £49.86. Admittedly they were doing other cosmetic work,so had bumper removed. yet i don't feel that would justify a saving of almost £1,100.
Second time Haynes have tried to get money from me for nothing. First time they failed my car on it's MOT saying it needed new brakes. I knew it didn't so went elsewhere. It passed and has for the next couple of times with the same brakes . Today I took the car in for a quote to repair corroded alloys. They called me with a quote for 4 new wheels or a refurb which they said wouldn't look as good as it does now. Decided to go elsewhere for a cheaper and better refurb and they tried to charge me £130 for an hour's labour! Seriously? Someone had looked at 4 wheels and come up with a diagnosis that I'd already told them about. Also, no mention of a charge when booking. I refused to pay it and they backed down but I wonder...is it just women they try to rip off assuming they'll believe everything they're told, or is it anyone? n any case, twice is too much for me.
This is based on the commercial service reception - they are rude to almost each customer, making rude comments as they walk out, behind their backs.

Haynes Ford take reviews about our customer service very seriously and we would hope that if a customer felt that a comment had been made regarding them that it would have been reported to a member of the management team at the time so we could look into it. Sadly reviews left on sites such as this after an event do not allow us to investigate and a lack of detail of times do not help us in reviewing. If details could be provided of the time and date of this alleged incident than we will of course check our CCTV footage and respond accordingly.
Booked a ford in for diagnostic, booked for 8 am today, approx one hour job, 4 hours later both service staff confirm its in the work shop and the mechanic is still plugged in working on it, i wait outside with my partner and spot our car in the rear of the car park, we wait another 30 mins watching it eagle eyed, go back in, ask how the car is doing, they confirm its still in workshop been worked on, "so many faults" i ask for the manager, told no, i ask again stating ill call the police if needed, service manager comes out i ask where the car is he points in opposite direction, states still in garage running checks, needs more time, i final after 3 different people stating they are working on my car and with a witness, point to my car at rear of car park, he hands back the keys and tells us to leave!!!! Caught them out big time, who else have they done this too! Been in the motor trade 25 years, this is unbelievable behaviour!, also refused toilet after 1 hour drive to them at 8 am, refused use of chair after been walking and standing for 4 hours!!!. Update, Police advised go trading standards. I suggest people rig their cars with hidden cameras!!!! Further to Fords response, in which they are STILL LYING through their teeth, note they make no comment on the fact both service advisors and then the manager whom we called down, confirmed they were still working on the car some 3 1/2 hours later when challenged at least 3 times, when in fact it was hidden at the rear of the garage in the car park some 50 metres from the nearest workshop! !!!! we watched it for 30 mins! they only called us once to say us they were still working on it which THEY WERE NOT. i strongly think use of a toilet is a human right! and you are inconveniencing your customers. i think it is laughable your young advisers are all sitting down but when i requested a chair i was refused. would you refuse a pregnant lady? or someone with a disability?

This review had originally been reported and removed from both this site and other review sites as it is from a direct competitor of Haynes. It has since been resubmitted by the author. The visit is not in dispute however the circumstances surrounding and included in it have been deliberately misinterpreted to make our company look bad. The visit occurred during lockdown in 2020, when customers were not allowed by law to wait within the reception or showroom environment.
Having used Haynes for 20 years and purchased many new and used car over the years, in my view the customer service has gone from good to completely unacceptable. Very rude and often provide ‘mis truths’ including charging for items not required (brakes most often) . Recently i had brakes replaces on a car with less than 6000 miles, didn't think they could need replacing so asked for them to be kept. Took to alternative ford garage who confirmed disks were 10-15% worn and pads 30% worn. Overcharged by £600. All they will ever do is shrug their shoulders and say its your fault as you approved it, they also claimed the disks and pads must have been swapped. Avoid until they fix the poor service and overcharging issues
