As KIA Portsmouth was the nearest dealership to where I live, I took it to them to fix a (common) juddering problem with my Sportage. After dropping it off to them early at 09.00 instead of 10.15 as a favour to them. Didn't hear anything from anyone about the progress , so at 17.00 I rang them to see what was happening and they said I would have to leave it with them for a FEW days so they could trace the fault as a technician took it for a drive and couldn't find any fault with it, with nothing coming up on the diagnostic check they couldn't find any fault, the service person tried to tell me it could be due to excess traffic about causing it to jerk. With NO courtesy cars available for weeks I'm not impressed to say the least. So they have lost ALL my custom from now on and shall be dealing with SNOWS KIA Basingstoke where I bought it. After Sales wise I rate it 1/10 Do Not deal with this dealership.,!!!!

Matt Robinson is the best car dealer we have come across over the years. Very professional, polite and helpful. Our KIA shortage (hybrid) is amazing. I have just brought a car from them which had been serviced by them recently and service book stamped. However upon collecting the car I noticed the air filter was filthy dirty, the oil levels were down by a pint and the expansion tank was low of water!!! The car was supposedly had a 90 point check but obviously these faults had not been picked up!!! The sales person has been informed about my queries but so far no reply back to me……. !!!!

Just got our 3rd car from Hendy Kia, always great service! We down sized from Sportage to Rio, Andy Barrow is the person we always go to, excellent service talking us through everything. Allie Keers really is a product genius! Thanks guys for your support on purchasing our latest Kia!

Went to buy a nearly new Kia . Was told it was one owner , 24 hrs before purchase told it was 2 owner when I arrived car had a different colour panel from the rest of the car. Salesman offer no explanation or apology. I traveled a very long distance to buy the car. Complete disgrace of a firm. Please to all you reading this avoided this dealer
In August I booked my Venga at Hendy Kia in for a sat nav update as we were going to be driving in France. We arrived in France and the sat nav never actually got going resulting in us driving in rush hour traffic in the middle of Caen with no idea where to go. We were actually hauled over by the gendarmerie and given a pretty rough time. On return to the UK i contacted Hendy not once but TWICE for a refund or reboot or even just an explanation. The receptionist was lovely but clearly incompetent as still nothing has happened over 2 months on. Dreadful service. I have given up waiting and am now going to the main Kia head office.
I had a 30000 mile servicedone on my Kia Venga and wastotally unimpressed from start to finish. Normally after a service you can feel the difference in the car but there was no change after Hendy had supposedly serviced my car. The day after the tyre pressure warning light came on so I checked the pressures to find 3 different readings on the four tyres that varied by 6 PSI so not even a little bit out. I challenged this with the service department and they told me that it must be a problem with the two gauges that I checked the pressure with. They did offer to check the tyres again if I brought the car back to them but I have lost faith in their integrity so will not be going back to them for any repairs or service. The car was also not cleaned very well so all in all a half arsed job. I intend to check everything else I can on my next day off, not something you should feel you need to do after paying for a service.

Matthew and Ali the staff that I dealt with at Hendy Kia were very professional and most helpful, I have no issue with them, however, I have to say that the delivery and handover process was beyond a joke. I was told that the car would arrive at the dealership on the 24th December. Taking Christmas into consideration the car would be ready for handover around 29th December, When this failed to materialise I was told that it was because Kia had a sales quota of 100,000 cars and that if they went over this, the figure would go up to 120,000 so no cars would be released after the 15th December. Matthew told me it was out of his hands and that he wasn’t best pleased either as he wouldn’t get paid until completion. Sure you can imagine what I thought of that excuse! Next I was then told it would arrive at the dealership on January 3rd. I even received a confirmation email. Again the car failed to arrive. Gummi told me that worst case scenario it would arrive at the dealership by weeks end, (Jan11th). I said that if it didn’t I would be pulling out of the deal. I finally collected the car on Friday 11th January. It had arrived in the country on 13th December. I saw this on a copy of an a mail forwarded onto me by Matthew. I felt that enough was enough as it had taken nearly a month to arrive. I wrote a complaint to Matthew and to Kia head office. I received a call from Gummi the dealership manager hours later apologising profusely and again blaming Kia quotas. I also received an email from Stephanie the regional manager saying that she would be speaking to Gummi to investigate further. To be fair I feel that the main problem was with Kia head office, assuming the quota story is true and the transport company. It also appeared that the dealership had no real contact with the transport company. Not really sure why this was. By way of an apology I received a full tank of petrol, a set of carpets that I’d ordered worth £60 and some mudflaps free of charge. Gummi came out and apologised personally and Matthew and Ali did all they could to make the handover a smooth process. Gummi had told me that the quota issue had come up before. This is my only gripe with the actual dealership as had I known that when signing the forms I would have had a choice as to whether to accept the terms or go elsewhere. I would not have been so irritated and would probably still have accepted the terms. Having said all that, the car is great and I feel that Matthew, Ali and Gummi have tried to do their best despite having their hands tied. Thanks to the three of you. Kia take a long hard look at yourselves!
