Worse car place ever bought a car for 3000 had it a couple of months and it had serious engine problems
Do NOT buy ANYTHING from Higginshaw Motors. All i can compare him with, is Harry Wormwood, from the film Matilda !!! Even Arthur Daley doesnt have a mark on this sheister !!! I paid £4,500 for a gorgeous Audi A8. Pristine & unmarked. However, next day, fouund it had a battery problem. Replaced it. But still flat next day. Sun roof was sealed with bathroom sealent. He said... didn't know it had a sunroof. Told him about batery problem & he said.... a light comes on, by the sunroof control. Turn it off ! HES A FUCKING LIAR !!!! I wouldn't have a car off this guy if it was free & gold plated. Further problems, which he assured me the warranty covered. Suspension problemd. Limp mode, due to turbo actuator problems. Lights going out. £300 per LED unit on rear & theres 6 separate on the back. Smooth talking Cu#t mugged me off. Lost £2500 on a teade in, on a car that normally keeps its value. Even had to replace 2 threadbare tyres, which passed an MOT less than 3 weeks previous. Whatsmore, had a bolt missing from ALL 4 WHEELS. Therefore sold in an illegal condition. Hopefully, with the video I took, VOSA will be paying him & his dodgy MOT garage a visit very soon. Slimy confidence trickster, who after mu son's research has had many othe car buisnesses. Get the picture ??

Bought my first car off Higginshaw Motors in March. The ad did not state that the front was damaged, including dents and cracks on the bumper, and quite extensive dents on the bonnet (as if someone jumped on it). The pictures did not show it either. I mentioned it to the salesperson, and they said "they forgot to add that into the ad". I said I won't buy the car unless it was fixed. In fairness to them, they replaced only the bumper, and knocked down the price by £100. However, the part was not an original, and on my way out of the dealership, a chunk of plastic fell off and after the first car wash, the paint just peeled off. The car was silver, and I ended up with a black bumper. Did not go through the hassle of reporting it because I just needed to drive, and it was only paint. At least it wasn't cracked. But it was the principle. Further on, I went to get an aircon recharge, and two places told me that the aircon was completely broken, with it leaking. The compressor needed to be replaced at a cost of £400. This was not mentioned by the dealership. "Surprisingly", their warranty did not cover this either... Also, I think whoever tests their cars for MOT is a friend of theirs because the car would not have passed, considering I ended up having to have the front two tyres replaced as they were BARE. Way below the limit, and the MOT was only done a few weeks beforehand, with little to no miles done between the MOT and when I bought it. So would not trust the validity of the MOT of any of their cars. Tried to contact them, but with no success. Been blocked. Their website has been taken down and cannot locate them on autotrader anymore. Just don't bother buying cars from them. There is many reviews online opposing them. Will also be reporting Higgingshaw Motors.

Worst service, purchased a vehicle from Higginshaw Motors which was delivered to me (200 miles away) and on delivery it was an absolute mess. There was costa coffee rubbish left behind in the vehicle (this car was delivered at 1am in the morning) and nothing had been cleaned inside. I was told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car besides the front tyres needing changing, I took the car for a drive later that morning only for the engine light to come on and for the car to start jerking as I put my foot down. Turns out the vehicle was miss firing and the turbo was making a really bad noise, plus the rear breaks were screeking as they too needed replacing. I phoned them to complain only to be told that the vehicle was not delivered like that. Not sure how you break a GTI in 5 minutes. Anyways long story short, I did not get any help from them resolving this issue. Told the finance company who resolved this and I WON my case. Car returned on a flatbed as diagnostics confirmed car was broken. The MOT system is not legit either, they delivered the car with no MOT advisories yet the car had the same tyres on that were a fail, clearly a friendly MOT. My mechanic told me the car was not fit for driving, hence why collected by a flatbed truck arranged by the finance company.
I recently purchased a BMW 1-Series from Higginshaw Motors. Despite being advised as fully MOT'd, when trying to tax the vehicle we discovered it wasn't. Higginshaw said they would MOT it on the following Monday and deliver it to me. Once received, it was serviced by national garage within 50 miles of ownership. They said that under no circumstances should it have passed it's MOT, and was £1200 away from being road safe. It took 4 days to speak with someone from the garage who refused to acknowledge any responsibility. I have now referred the matter to the DVSA.

I bought a 320 diesel ES 2009 , one owner from new 3 weeks ago from this garage . The guy wanted 4250£ for the car , after I inspected the car : the front grill was broken, the rear brakes and discs was rusted and used , the car was very dirty inside with animals hair , and the car wasn’t serviced from a year and half ( May 2016) . The guy started to tell me stories that they don’ t lie and the car is in very good condition. I managed to drop the price to 3900£. I decided to buy the car because the car had only one owner from new with 127000 miles. And I said with the money that I saved I will do full service and clean the car and replace the front grill. After I bought the car , I left home and in the same evening I had the engine light on and the tail light from the passenger side the led s got burn allready in the same night . The second day I went to my mechanic and put the tester on the car , I found out that the car had 2 errors egr and water pump . I called the guy he said he allready made me a discount so I will not have warranty . Now I will have to replace water pump , egr , tail light and full service which is gonna cost me more than 1000£.

Our 7 seater Vauxhall Zafira broke down during the school holidays and we had numerous trips planned with our children. We contacted higginshaw Motors who had a 2011 Vauxhall zafira. We arranged a viewing and was collected from the train station in Manchester. After test driving the vehicle we was happy with the level of service we had received and the process was smooth. We was given 12 months warranty at the time Of purchase and Upto now we haven't had any issues. Great guys and great service
