Paid deposit of £1150 for LandRover Discovery from Highlanders in good faith although seemed excessive amount on a £6000 vehicle. Few days later my husband was admitted to John Radcliffe Oxford with heart problems so DVLA immediately cancelled his licence because he holds an HGV licence. Under went surgery but would be unable to drive for the foreseeable future. Contacted HighlanderGB who said they could deliver the car but I pointed out that it would just sit on the drive until husband got license back. They refused to refund deposit even on medical grounds saying if they did it for us they would have to do it for everyone. Would advise anyone buying from this back street car dealer to buy with caution.
