Good morning i have purchased 2 cars now from Matt at Hilltop motor company most recently for my daughter. I always feel at ease dealing with Matt and again he has provided a very professional service and a super little first car for my daughter who is over the moon with her first car.

Having purchased my Renault Clio back in May and have now been driving it for a couple of months i am extremely happy with the car. Matthew was very helpful in explaining the various vehicle options available at the time of my visit i only test drove the Renault as i fell in love with it straight away.

So we thought Matthew was lovely and helpful . Sold us a Nissan juke , headlight was damaged and replaced it . After 8 weeks smoke bellowed from around the headlight , then at 70mph the bonnet flies open ( this should never happen ) . Written off car but could have killed us . NOT EVEN A REPLY FROM MATTHEW . look past the smiles and banter , the guys a thief , we are lucky to be alive .

Thank you for leaving such a review that helps small businesses such as mine the vehicle was purchased December 19th 2023, where the headlight was replaced before sale due to a crack in it. I received an email in January telling me how happy you was with the car which I thought was extremely kind if you, I then received an email 15/3/2024 stating there was smoke coming from behind the drivers headlight and I advised your girlfriend to contact the warranty company so as to follow the procedure to get a local garage to look into what the issue was With the smoke coming from behind the headlight, much later the same day you emailed stating the bonnet had opened whilst you was driving along the road and had caused damage to the car and had caused a serious incident. I spoke with yourself via messaging and asked you to call the office to discuss how the bonnet had all of a sudden opened whilst you had been driving the vehicle, especially after you had so recently seen smoke protruding from behind the drivers headlight which I presume you opened the bonnet to investigate, I did suggest via the messaging that maybe the bonnet had not been correctly closed after you had investigated where the smoke might have been coming from, especially as the bonnet had been actually fine and closed for the previous 3 months of use. I never did receive a phone call from yourself to discuss the situation with the car and how i could assist you, instead you have just felt it correct and right to leave a review which doesn’t help you as I would have done had you called the office.
I bought a car off of Matt in July, he was super helpful with the process, took me through step-by-step really easy and quick to do, any issues I had he’d help me out immediately and any issues I had with the car he would help out immediately to ensure I was still satisfied with the purchase. He was really friendly and easy to contact. Would definitely recommend his services, and he also offers a great exchange price for your current car if needed.

Thank you for your review I believe I did get back to you eventually after explaining the business had been closed due to myself and then my family having the Covid virus but I suppose you are not allowed to be ill when you are self employed
There was a varied selection of well priced cars, i was specifically looking for a small car and i ended up purchasing a Honda Jazz which i am very happy with. Thank you to Hilltop Motor Company.
I must say i was very happy with the owner of Hilltop Motor Company, Matt, he was very helpful in assisting myself and my wife choose a new car, we test drove 3 and ended up buying the first one we test drove thanks Matt !!

What a lovely experience throughout. Hilltop Motor Company were really friendly without the hard pressure sale we was left to look around the car on our own which i myself found very comforting.
