Avoid! FALSIFIED CLEAN MOT Brought my car from this company last year. The May 2022 MOT had advisories on all tyres but the March 2023 MOT provided with the car had no advisories when I queried this they said the tyres had been replaced and there’s no advisories. Today March 24 I have failed my MOT with the back two tyres “they are cracking between the tread very badly” which is incredible given I’ve only driven the car 4000 miles within a year! I’m furious! I will be logging a complaint and not be recommending them to anybody else. Please avoid, Hilton do not care and next time they could miss something more serious which could cause a serious collision!

My partner purchased a Range Rover Evoque back in September which was faulty. I have been without the car since November and ended up requesting my money back as I no longer wanted the vehicle. We have been charged £1400 in usage fees for this. It is now 15th February and still have not had my refund for the car even though they have the log book and all keys and documents. We have 3 children and no car unless we pay silly money to hire one in the meantime.

They don’t transfer the ownership for 14 days, and on the top of that use the wrong address and I’m still waiting for my V5 over a month now

I saw a car I was interested on the website. I had some queries on the actual specs. From the first telephone query to the completed purchase he was extremely helpful and efficient he made the whole process easy and pain free. Very impressive and yes I did buy the car and I am very pleased with it

What an absolute shambles. I drove from Scotland to purchase a vehicle from this "garage" and part exchange my Mercedes in return. Upon arrival, I was charged £300 due to there being a "glow plug" light illuminated on the dashboard of my Mercedes, that had appeared during the drive down. I had no choice but to pay this, due to the fact that I had just driven 300 miles to pick up the new vehicle. I was not prepared to drive a 600 mile, 10 hour round trip to come back home empty handed. I felt like the salesman knew this and was prepared to take advantage of the situation. Within 2 days of owning the car I had found multiple faults. I contacted the garage to state that I wished to return the car as I had owned it for less than 14 days, but the salesman told me that I could not due to driving the car over 200 miles (which he knew in advance as I had told him I was taking the car home to Scotland). To date, the faults include – The diesel exhaust fluid warning light illuminated after a few days of driving which shows the garage didn’t even fill up the ad blue before the car left the garage as it only requires a top up after being driven roughly 5000 miles. A low tyre pressure warning light that came on roughly every 2 days, which lead to a new tyre being purchased. The automatic window wipers malfunctioning, resulted in the car being booked in to Land Rover 6 times to actually find the fault. A whole new steering column was needed in the end. The engine management light has illuminated twice within my year of ownership. The first time it required a new diesel particulate filter. I am still waiting to hear why it has illuminated again, but according to the Land Rover app, there is an “emissions malfunction” (which will likely be another costly repair). I am absolutely convinced that the garage valeted this car and sent it on its merry way, without so much as even looking under the bonnet. I would highly advise anyone against visiting this garage. Failing that, finding your closest drain and throwing £30,000+ down it, would be your next best option. Avoid like the plague.

The car was parked in amongst other cars for sale on the day of collection and on inspection not only had it not seen any polish at all ! it hadn't even been washed properly. The staff are unbelievably false and know as much about cars as my nan, when I asked the sales guy to please try and remove the bird poo and flys that were still stuck to the car we had no apology at all, just a guy who came out with a rag and in a half-hearted way tried to get the marks off. Then the sales guy didn't even walk us out to the car to make sure we were happy, simply handed the keys to us. At this point I was so disappointed we just left and I'll wash the car myself when I get home. Needless to say I'll NEVER spend my money with these people again, shocking customer service by the staff from the only way is Essex...... AVOID !!!

I've been let down by this company for over two weeks now. I agreed to purchase a Seat Leon FR (registration CU65YWL). me and my partner know a great deal about this cars and engines and when I asked to see see the service history (the milage on the car was over 65 000 miles) the car didn't have the timing belt or the water pump done at the recommended mileage. Still I agreed too purchase the car if this was rectified. The dealership asked me if they could have extra time to get this work done for me - I agreed and I suppose to collect the car two weeks later. However, a few days before the collection there was still no information available if the work was done on the car and it felt like they were avoiding my calls. Finally, I spoke to a manager who informed me that the timing belt was done 3 years previously and that they would not do the pump! So I waited for over two weeks for this car only to be told that they will not do the work they agreed on. I personally will not give this company any of my time anymore and I would stay away if I were you! But if not, I would like to say you watch out for Ben - he lied the whole time to us - not impressed!

Terrible. This was my 4th car from Hilton Garage over the years and what started as an impressive outfit have declined considerably and now operate like a dodgy back street car dealer from the 80's. So I bought an A7, reg A7XYO, from them. I highlighted some paint repairs and a tyre with a chunk out of the sidewall that needed replacing to the salesman Adam which was agreed as was the full asking price. Waited (an unnecessarily long) 2 weeks to collect the car only to find the the tyre was still on the car and the paint looked like it had been touched in by a child with their fingers. In the wrong colour too. Conveniently the original salesman wasn't available however salesman 2 was happy that, although in his words the touch up "wasn't the best", it was acceptable and I should take the car as is. As the car was a 2015 I should accept the accident damage to the bumper as normal, he said (!) The tyre, he had been told, now wasn't sufficiently damaged to warrant a replacement. (Would you buy a performance car to put your kids into and be happy to drive away with a 2" chunk out of the sidewall, especially with a replacement tyre being previously agreed?) Later the sales manager disagreed with Salesman 2 and reconsidered the paint repair (but should it have needed arguing for - they had 2 weeks and its terrible - where are their quality standards that they trumpet so loudly?) but still refused the tyre replacement. No doubt in the response below, if they bother, they will say the tyre was perfectly ok with a chunk missing (!) but the point is that a replacement was agreed with the salesman Adam but not honoured. Their opinion later on the safety of the tyre is inconsequential - a replacement was agreed at the point of order. Apparently he must have forgotten to write it down on the job card...or I was lying - must have been one of these two? I asked the sales manager to contact him for confirmation of this agreement but he didn't. Maybe customers need to record sales people here to ensure promises are not made and then broken? In summary the reasonable prices have kept me going back to Hilton but they are happy to lose an £19k sale, a 4x repeat customer who now changes cars every year and all my friends and family as potential customers over a tyre. This is the kind of company Hilton now appears to be which is a shame. I am warning all against Hilton's shoddy practices on various review sites and hopefully you will reconsider them too. Be very careful here.
