Bought a used car from there Bluetooth faulty and they wouldn't sign service book despite saying it had been serviced. Couldn't provide evidence of an oil change either. Car returned and am still waiting for me refund of over £7k and still car less.

I bought a Nissan leaf recently from Hanley and I just like to say what a great deal, with Gareth going out of his way to help me out with the part exchanges etc. I would highly recommend Holdcroft 👌

My review At the end of, August 2019 I came across a Nissan approved ex-demo in Whatcar.come (Who have given Holdcroft 5 out of 5 but refused my review (Obviously didn’t wish to lose Holdcroft business), Phoned Holdcroft and talked a salesperson called Richard & made an appointment to go and see the car. It had my Note (25000 m and in showroom condition with all proof) & offered me less than I was offered by We Buy Any Car, I didn’t mind that as due to my severe disability I didn’t wish to travel furthrt100 Miles the get a Taxi back to Stock-on-Trent. Had my car for £5200 and are currently advertising it for £7,750☹. When I arrived to collect the car (just over 2500m &less than 1 year old) was surprise seeing Richard changing the number plate? I phoned and asked Richard for the pre-delivery inspection document and was told it was on his computer and never sent it to me! I had a near miss and managed to avoid an accident, tried to clean the window screen and it went blank, luckily was not travelling fast. In opening the booth to check that my hoist was not damaging the seats, a silver metal piece fell off? The Satnav went dead a few days later and when the hoist installers arrived, I notified them of the issue with the Sat nave. I had made the necessary arrangement to have my hoist installed to lift my mobility scooter the hoist installation however they wouldn’t connect it to the fuse box as they did not wish to be blamed for the failure of Sat nave. I contacted Holdcroft asking if it could tell me which was Sat nav’s fuse so that the hoist installers could have finished their job, the lady told me that she would inform the service department and one of its engineers will soon call me back. I called again after an hour & this time the lady receptionist told me that it would not tell me which fuse and I should not change the fuse since it could invalidate my garrotte, I insisted to be informed and the ostrobogulous dullard put the phone down on me? I sent an email to Mr. Ian (Account), received a call from Stephen (Service manager) who apologised & made an appointment at 1.30 the following Monday. On visiting my daughter, the glove compartment fell when going over a bump and a friend I know put it back for me. Arrived in time for my appointment and was informed that Stephen was at another dealership? I sat on the wall outside till 2 p.m. when a gentleman introducing himself as Wayne xxx, Holdcroft Nissan manager enquired about the issued that I had encountered, I explained and he opened the booth and informed me that the meta bit was only glued and that it will be glued back on (Who in a right mind spends Almost £17000 on a car that is glued together, I said that grandchildren make a more sturdy Lego bricks car than this one, needless to say, he wasn’t pleased, he opened the passenger door and touched the glove compartment and re my near-miss, he informed me that it could have been due to greasy window screen☹ Dear Mr. Wayne xxx as the Nissan manager I wouldn’t be wrong making the assumption that it is your responsibility to make sure that cars are clean and valeted before hand over and you failed! The car was taken for diagnostic to the service station and brought back after 25 minutes and I was told it will take 3 weeks for a new Satnav to arrive. When arrived back home, I realised the back of the card had been damaged, immediately informed Holdcroft, and was told by Mr. Wayne it will be investigated (was never informed of the result ). I was told when buying the car if not happy within 30 days Holdcroft will replace it with an equivalent car, when I discussed it with Mr. Wayn xxxxx that I was not happy and wished to change it, Mr. Wayne xxxxx the Nissan manager told me: That only applies if the car had safety issues! I even offered to exchange this faulty and damaged car for a new one and pay the extra, no reply! Two weeks later (Monday) had an email from Stephen telling me: Stephen Tue 29/09/2020 12:02 Good Morning, The part has arrived when would it be acceptable for you to come in to have the work completed? Stephen My reply: Tue 29/09/2020 12:46 Dear Stephen I have appointments tomorrow and Monday however as previously promised you can send a courtesy car tomorrow and take this car to fix everything. You can if convenient arrange it for tomorrow between 11 and 12. P.s. the glove compartment has come off again. Regards A.T. His reply: 29 September 2020 13:09 To: A.T. Subject: RE: DU69… Good afternoon, Would you not prefer us to take the vehicle after your appointments? I think the window will be too tight for us to fulfil tomorrow.I will also need a list of all the known concerns before collection so I can get these rectified. Stephen My reply: From: A.T. Sent: 29 September 2020 13:17 To: Stephen Subject: Re: DU69… Dear Stephen I do not believe to have to give you all my medical history and appointment dates. I am severely disabled and have medical needs and sometimes I receive cancellation which I have to take. If tomorrow morning is not convenient please arrange it for Thursday between 12 & 2 p.m. the length of time you need to keep the card makes little difference to me. Kind Regards A.T From: Stephen Sent: 29 September 2020 13:31 To: A.T. Subject: RE: DU69… Good afternoon, I will arrange collection for the Thursday, do you need a certain car to aid with your disabilities? Stephen A.T. Tue 29/09/2020 15:52 Dear Stephen I can answer all questions on computers, websites, and the internet but cars are not my specialties. You did promise to dig out all about this car and inform me of the results? I am only able to notify you of faults that can be determined visually. !. Satnav 2. rear passenger side bump. 3 Glove compartment that appears unstable and comes off going over a bump 4, the metal in the booth (Mr. Wayne Lawson stated that it was glued) & I put it where the spare wheel placed. Please ask Mr. Richard Hudson what he knows and told me about the window screen which almost caused me to have an accident on the motorway when it was handed over to me and Mr Lawson told me it may have been because the window screen was greasy☹ Dear Mr. Lawson why does Holdcroft hand over a car to the customer with a greasy window screen? You introduced yourself as the Nissan Manager and as such should make sure that on handovers all cars are clean, valeted? Best regards to the only sensible manager with constructive communication skills at Holdcroft Nissan. A.Toosi I have hi-lighted his email Sent: 29 September 2020 13:31 stating Thursday as the collection day. On that Thursday I waited and waited, no one came, called Holdcroft office and was informed it was going to be next Thursday 8th Oct! Needless to say, I was both flabbergasted and frustrated & could not understand how Holdcroft Nissan dealer from hell could treat a disabled customer with such contempt? This kind of behaviour involves part of the human experience that has always eluded me! My understanding of those staff & the managers is that they have created a cartel with a code of silence resembling that of the Sicilian Mafia! I would not recommend this firm to my worst enemy.

I bought a Nissan Leaf from Holdcroft Nissan in Hanley in December 2018. When I got the car home I found it was missing a compressor, cable storage bag and one of the keyfobs wasn't working. This was reported immediately but took over a month to sort out. I had to do all the chasing, emailing, phoning etc and I was told twice that the parts were in the post when they weren't. I eventually had to complain to Nissan. A great car, but once they had my money they weren't interested. This has put me off buying from them in future.

Aaron in response to Poor after sales care

Know exactly how you feel bud, got ripped off by Holdcroft last year buying two Honda's which turned out to both be faulty - one was new from factory and I paid for extra kit to be put in and they fitted cheap tat which failed and then looked confused when I said why weren't the parts fitted Genuine Honda optional extra kit? The used car was sold as approved used, and came with a whole host of faults, I then find out it shouldn't have been sold as approved used at all as it was too old and they'd registered it under a listed plan warranty indicating they knew at the time it shouldn't have been sold as such! After 6 months worth of arguing and repairwork I left them a review as I'd had enough and they refused to do any further work until this was removed, in the end they brought both cars back from me but I now find it was done fraudulently as they purposely undervalued both vehicles to maximise their own returns whilst leaving me out of pocket! As a thank you for everything they put me through they banned me from not just their honda dealership in Cobridge but ALL Holdcroft dealerships to prevent me sharing my experience with other customers.

Wrote a message to this dealership via the facebook site asking for information about retrofitting illuminated treadplates to the K14 micra, along with recommendations on the turbo lag I'm experiencing during daily driving, no response - I had a feeling this was due to a prior experience with Holdcroft Honda where I'd been banned from their dealerships for raising a complaint about being sold an approved used car that turned out to be a lemon and purchasing a brand new car that they butchered and fitted with cheap kit which wasn't what I'd instructed nor paid them to do. Because of that review Holdcroft as a group of companies acted like a child throwing their teddies out of the pram saying I was now blacklisted from every firm and couldn't purchase another vehicle from any of their branches - which I've not, I merely asked for some quick information as they were supposed to be a specialist for Nissan. After a while I asked a colleague to ask them the same question just to prove a theory, that they weren't actually allowed to reply to me. Low and behold the colleague gets a message back instantly asking when they could discuss it further with him. Says it all really.

I recently bought a Nissan X Trail from Holdcrofts in Hanley. The sales person Wayne was excellent throughout the whole process. Nothing was to much trouble for him. He explained things in easy to understand language and there was no pressure to make a quick decision. When we went in to collect the car he even sorted out the change of ownership for our old car and taxed our new car. A great service throughout.

Recently called into Nissan Holdcroft in Hanley to look for a second hand car. The salesperson Chris introduced himself to us but then left us to have a look around. This was a great relief as I had been to another well known car dealer and was hounded relentlessly by the sales man. I found a car I liked and the deal was done, after being given exactly the price I had in mind for my car I was exchanging. Happy days!!!!!! Would definately recommend this company to anyone looking for a great deal on a car. WELL DONE HOLDCROFTS.

Purchased a CVR from Holdcroft for £18000, it had faults on collection and No service and No Multi point checks. They said they would sort the issues later. They ignore all calls made over last 6 months and Honda UK have been involved to no avail. The case now is being dealt with by the ombudsmen. Deal with this dealer at your peril
