I am 74,bought a Honda Accord,it looked good,and came with full service,new MOT,and RAC checked.All was well untill 2 weeks later,a banging noise when braking,on inspection,the rear brake pads were down to the metal,the discs corroded and damaged,and the calipers,very rusted,one seized up.I contacted the MOT STN,they referred me straight back to the dealer,he said i should have had it towed back to him.,and that,wheels dont get taken off to check pads and discs,i am now going to trading standards,i wonder about the service now..be vigilant,if buying an older car.

Bought a car from HollyTree Cars. Didn't want to know when it went seriously wrong after owning it for a short time. Took it to an independent garage and they confirmed that the issue was old and was definitely there when I purchased the vehicle. refused to help and said he looked forward to the letter from my solicitor (he's obviously dealt with many situations where cars he has sold have gone wrong) AVOID!

Hi Emma. I must say I thought a spiteful review from you would end up on some obscure website but I'm shocked that a lady of your stature needs to lie! So to clarify, You purchased a 118000 mile 2009 VW Touareg and after 7 months and 7000 miles you called and demanded a full refund as you car had an oil leak! There was no "hello please can you help me" just a demand for money. As I said no you immediately threatened me with legal action! Later that day you called to give me this time to give me the opportunity to cooperate with your requests else your bank would recover you money under the charge back system. I explained that you were being completely unreasonable to demand and expect a full refund after 7 months of ownership. I also explained that since your first phone call I had looked at the MOT history of the car and could confirm that in the 118000 miles and 8 years of being on the road the car had never had any failure or even an advisory with reference to this oil leak. The following day you called the previous owner to ask him about the oil leak and he told you the car didn't have an oil leak. I no this because he called me and stated that a women with an extremely poor attitude called and that he had set you straight. Despite all of this I'm still the bad man and you have to lie and twist the truth in a final attempt to get you own way. Well shame on you Emma. Maybe moving forward if you are more pleasant with people they will be more inclined to help you.
Drove an hour to see a car that was better than described and hoped for. Extremely happy and highly recommended. Well done chaps.
Good reliable dealer, happy to help and very friendly. Only bad thing is that he can be quite hard to get in contact with. I have had no issues up to now though with the car and I would happily recommend this dealership.
