This business is an absolute disgrace and is to be avoided at all costs. I bought a car which wasn't cleaned let alone serviced properly. It broke down in the first 10 days. Despite having a warranty they were rude, unresponsive and unprofessional throughout. The stress that it’s caused myself and my family is horrendous. Please think twice before believing their lies.
HORRIFIC. Viewed the car and took it for a very short run was told they had been using it as a courtesy car. It was filthy inside and out. Paid a deposit and regretted it instantly as had a bad feeling. Returned to collect the car with prior warning having been told it would be inspected and cleaned inside & out for collection. Arrived to collect with prior warning and was kept waiting for 1.5hrs, told the car was being cleaned and upon paying found it had definitely gained miles since my deposit was paid and the car was absoloutely filthy, my child found a used fork on the back seat which had also been there on the test drive!! They already had my money so I left having agreed to Warranty and assured I could return with any problems covered by the warranty. Fast forward just 3mths (not even that) and the vehicle has a fault. Raise claim with warranty company and contact Horsepower for diagnostics/estimate for work required and I've just spent over a week being lied to and fobbed off ...it's a relatively simple fix yet they've left me high & dry as predicted. All the staff are dishonest & have left a busy Mum distressed and unable to attend hospital appointments for children and care for an elderly mother for fear of being left stranded somewhere. They have absoloutely no excuse not to follow through with their aftersales promises. Reviews by others elsewhere will tell you the same thing.

Absolutely hopeless - avoid! Jason rang me back on Wednesday after I enquired about a car. Booked me in to test drive on the following Saturday. I drove 1.5 hours from Brighton on Easter Saturday to find the car wasn’t there! It had been taken home by one of his colleagues! I was livid. Jason said ‘sorry, these things happen’ and offered me £50 off if I came back again. I asked if they could drive it to Brighton for me to test drive and he gave me an authoritative ‘no!’ This is no way to run a business - you lost yourselves an £8k sale here. Will take my money elsewhere.

Avoid avoid avoid If not warranty do not go throw .I bought peugeot 308sw. Whn I went for test drive I found that front tyres both are flat. So I been told by Tommy that will need around 2 hours to be fixed .but car engine and gear are clean. (Came part exchang) I was happy to sign the document and I bought it . On way home car was powerless .I taught because bad tyres. I took it garage .and this what I got Dpf faulty Turbo fail (oil leaking) Front both tyres need replace 2 rear suspension need replace. Let be honest I lost 2066£ the price of the car. But you guys lost your name (horsepower ) your trust Shame ,shame

I bought a BMW Series 1 from here and they have had the car back 4 times for the same problem. Went to collect it today after being told they had replaced the radiator and coolant tank, when in fact they had replaced the coolant pump. Was spoken to very rudely by one of the owners. Hope I never have to deal with them again. Much more I could say but main objective is to point out how bad they are!

If I could give less than 1 star I would, I don’t know how this “company” is still trading. Looked at a Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian reg (LS11 VPO). Picked the truck up from Danny who very aggressively tried to sell us an extra warranty of £300 that we didn’t want. Drove the truck back to the midlands then the problems started, over heating, bellowing black smoke and the worst thing fumes escaping into the cab. Luckily for us we were still within 45 days to reject car with a one time opportunity to repair, Danny in between puffing on his vape told us to take it to a local approved garage, and that he would reimburse us, where they tried to fix it but it was beyond repair paid £600 Danny said he would reimburse £200 of it back in December obviously still waiting for it, the truck was collected as it was dangerous to drive. We were constantly fobbed off for 6 months when eventually it was ready for collection they kept us waiting nearly 2 hours, I asked for proof of work done Danny said that would be a further wait of 2 to 3 hours and we had to leave with the truck straight away because we were in the way. After refusing to leave without the proof Danny sent basic e.mail with the alleged repairs. Drove the truck for 10 minutes with black smoke billowing out of the back and the heat from the engine burning our legs. Took it straight back, Danny called us liars and took it for a drive with the technician and myself, tried to make excuses for the obvious problems, the technician agreed with us that it was not fit for the road, we rejected the car and with a lot of help from the finance company we got our money back but they made it an extremely difficult process. This truck is back up for sale on their website it is completely un roadworthy in our opinion please avoid if you don’t want to loose money.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anybody! I put down a deposit on an Audi Q5 (the 60 plate that’s still for sale!!!) to be told they had to wait for a key to be delivered, I waited numerous of weeks with no contact from them. I explained i was going away and needed the car as I was not able to drive my car and Danny PROMISED me the car would be sorted, before then, even though Danny quite clearly told me he couldn’t get hold of anyone from the key company so how he could promise this I will never know. The day before I go away I was told the key had turned up and it would be going through the service and the MOT ASAP I then was told the car wouldn’t be ready for another few days. I was very frustrated at this point as I had to hire a car which left me £300 out of pocket. I go away for a week phoned them and they said it still had to go through the MOT however the person who does the MOT’s phoned in sick so it would not be done today. I then had a look at the MOT history only to find out in deed it had gone through the MOT a week before however failed on numerous of things! (I was now very frustrated 6 weeks on still no car) when I confronted Tommy about the MOT he didn’t have an answer as to why I was lied to however ensured me the parts would be ordered that day. I asked Tommy to get one of the owners to call me I am still waiting!! I was then told the car would be ready by Monday guess what Tuesday came and the car was still not ready! Needless to say I didn’t go ahead with the car down to the lies who knows what would have gone wrong with the car, especially going by previous reviews on here. I find it very ironic that on the website one of their values clearly state “honesty- behaving fair, truthfully and morally upright”. They very clearly lied to me, they have left me £300 out of pocket and they made promises that they couldn’t keep. I do have to say Tommy was very empathetic with the situation Danny however clearly needs some training on customer service !!!

I came and put a deposit down and was very happy with Danny, the salesman, and his services. However, i wasn't offered to test drive it as there was no coolant in it and needed a repair. I was assured it would be fixed before the completion of the sale. The same day, we had a family financial emergency, which meant I would be unable to purchase the car. Now I understand the terms of a contract. I'm not stupid. However, considering it was LESS than 24 hours since the deposit, I thought as they are a family run business, they would be compassionate and refund us due to our circumstances. I was wrong. I know everyone needs to earn a living, but the car probably wasn't even moved on touched in that time, so it wasn't like they had lost money by prepping it. Especially with the cost of living these days and the fact we called so soon to explain. No compassion with this 'family run' business. Wouldn't recommended. Also, their website depicts you can have a 14-day cooling off period with a full refund, but only if you buy a car over the phone, which isn't clearly explained on their website. Careful reading is advised. And before horsepower comes back with a response, I am fully aware how a contract works. It's a shame as I know bigger dealerships would have refunded no issue. You also didn't tell us their was an admin fee either. I'll advise people to use bigger more well known dealerships such as Ford, kia and VW as their customer service seems to be not only more professional but as I've said, more compassionate towards people's ever changing circumstances. In hindsight, I'm glad it's just the deposit I've lost and not the full amount, and after speaking to others who have purchased from this garage, it seems incredibly unreliable.
A friend of mine bought a car from them 6 months ago and he has already had to spend another £800 for it to pass the M.O.T!!!!!!!!!
we bought a BMW 118d in sept 2021 (from 2012). we just found out next week that the 2 back alloys had been welded back together instead of being changed and this was never disclosed to us. The welding wasn't done properly and had cracked. We almost had a life-threatening incident on the motorway when one of the tyre almost exploded with the pressure of the alloy breaking. I tried to contact the garage but no luck. they wouldnt answer their phone or email
