"I recently purchased a used ToyotaYaris Launch edition from Weston Super Mare Howard’s Toyota and I regret it.
From the start, I was met with aggressive sales tactics and a blatant disregard for honesty. The salesperson promised the car was in 'excellent condition' and had 'no issues,' but within a week of driving it, Car breakdown lost power and developed gearbox and hybrid drive problem . The dealership refused to recover car back to dealership and tell me to call their Toyota assistance helpline.
Toyota assistance sent AA patrol but technician was unable to repair the fault.
Car been recovered to nearest Toyota dealership in Taunton and booked for Monday morning to get diagnosed.
Toyota Taunton was unable to provide hire car and Toyota assistance advised me to go to Enterprise car hire to get replacement car.
Nice AA patrol man take me to enterprise to get replacement vehicle but Enterprise don’t have any automatic cars in stock.
Enterprise offered me Fiat 500 manual as hire options. Unable to accept because my partner doesn’t drive manual.
Contacted Salesman and asked him for assistance he informed me that his hands is tight and be unable to help because car is cower by Toyota warranty.
When I mentioned Sales Consumer Rights Act (2015). Within the first 30 days, you can reject the car and request a full refund.
Also escalate complaints to the Motor Ombudsman or Trading Standards
Mr May decided to contact his line Manager to talk to me and offer hire car but that involved me to Travel to Weston Super Mare to collect hire vehicle.
I rejected offer because My car been let in Taunton Toyota for repairs ,hire car I need to collect from Weston Super making this operation logistic impossible.
Now my car has been recovered back to Howard’s Toyota and awaiting repairs ,to gearbox and Hybrid Drive.
I would advise anyone to steer clear of this dealership and their deceptive practices. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable dealer instead.

I visited the Howard’s Weston-super-Mare showroom last week with a view to trading in my present vehicle for something a little more suitable for my needs. Upon arrival I was greeted by Chris John, although very busy Chris made time for me by listening to my past experience and problems with my present car and was able to recommend a suitable pre-owned replacement Toyota Rav 4 that had just arrived that day. He explained that it would need to go to the workshop for a full inspection and minor repair procedure before being released.
I was due to travel from Langport on Friday 3rd Jan to collect the car whilst returning my present model but discovered at the last moment that my car’s battery had “died” on me and there was no other alternative but to postpone the car exchange. However Chris John jumped to my rescue by completing a round trip of perhaps 60 miles on a dark cold night to deliver my “new” car and with some electronic wizardry was able to take away the seemingly lifeless car.
Chris went above and beyond of what was expected of him in extreme weather conditions in order to complete the transaction.
I would like to convey my deepest gratitude to him for his gallant efforts on that wintry evening, truly a five*****performance.

Bought the car after seeing it on Autotrader.Phoned Howard’s Toyota and spoke with Elliot who gave me a price on a part exchange.He was very professional even though he was very young and was fairly new to the job.Well done Elliot on making the part exchange very easy.My wife is very happy with her new car.

Found a car online that i liked but could not go and see it because of lockdown rules 🤔 so they sent me a personalised video of the car which was great. Paperwork was pretty much all digital so everything was easy to sort. Really great service
