Had a very disappointing experience with Hutchings Vauxhall, and would never return there. Booked in our VW Beetle Convertible for a service and brake fluid change. Went to pick up the car, only to learn the brake fluid change wasn't done, and would only be done at a higher price than was quoted. I declined having it changed as just wanted to go after being disappointed. Went outside to quickly look over our car to discover my wife's freshly powder coated alloy wheels were now badly damaged in two places. Obviously very disappointed that they wouldn't except that the damage came on that day whilst in there workshop. They said they would review the security camera to see if it happened there. They said over a week later that it hadn't. When i requested to see the video, they said it was now deleted. Very convenient! I went to Hutchings Vauxhall as they weren't a back street garage, but i would have been better going to a back street garage! Maybe i would've been treated better there. Avoid if you have lovely alloy wheels on your car.

Chaos with part ex! Poor communication. Buyer left with a fine and enforcement letter. Bought a car with Vauxhall in Pontypridd. No issue with the car. The issue is with the part ex. Car part ex was done in November 2021. Due to miscommunication between Paul Evans and myself, I was not made aware that due to private plates being taken off that they would need another log book as I'd handed over one on receipt of sale. I received an email from him two days before Christmas and dropped the log book to him personally in January 2022. Absolutely fine, assumed it to be sorted from there. TWO MONTHS LATER. The car is pictured in a bus lane in Cardiff with who I assume to be the new owner. I receive a notice from the council and instantly get in touch with Paul. I'm assured its an easy fix and I sent the original letter to the new owner (I'm sure there's a GDPR issue in them giving me that information). Again, thinking it's sorted. A few months later I get another copy of this letter and get back in touch with Paul asking for something to be done. I take the letter to him personally and he takes a photo copy and assured me he would call the new owner and make sure it is paid while he is on the phone to him. OK great I thought. A few months go on and nothing through the post so I trusted Paul that this was sorted. We get another one. This time due to lack of payment I'm issued with additional enforcements. My partner speaks with Paul on my behalf and Paul states he will call and get it sorted. Following a call with Cardiff Council I can confirm there are no notes on file of this call being made. I have since been Gaslight by Paul that all of this is my fault due to the lateness of the log book (even though it was with him 2 months before the fine was issued). He has now become rude and would not discuss this with us and no longer takes accountability in his part in this. We are still working with Cardiff Council to resolve the matter.

AVOID Hutchings at all costs. I thought a registered Vauxhall retailer would be trust worthy but unfortunately I was very wrong. After less than 2 months of owning the car I have had to fork out £165 to be towed home from a trip away, with further expense on repairs because Hutchings had sold me an unsafe car with parts missing from the gearstick! The stress, expense and inconvenience of this has been unforgivable. To top it off, the salesperson Rachel lied about the number of previous owners and cost of monthly finance payments, amoghst other things. When we tried to follow this up on a number of occasions, but both Rachel and Paul ignored our phone calls and personal visits, never getting back to us as promised. Don't believe anything they tell you!

I recently bought a new Vauxhall from Hutchings and will never go back.They are so nice and polite while going through the sale and full of false promises,i signed up for my vehicle almost 2 months ago when i was told that the mats were available in 3 days,2 months on and recieved nothing after phoning for information on the mats have recieved absolutely nothing.I have been promised a tank full of fuel for another seperate matter that again i have heard nothing.Once Hutchings has had you sign they do not care and have no communication,only thing i have is i have to pay the balance next month and they will wait for their money and i will get what i am entitled to before they get a penny and it will be goodbye and good riddens to Hutchings forever.

I bought a new car at this dealership and I was very impressed with the service given to me, very professional polite and welcoming. A special thanks to Tim Cox for the work he had done and the team on the reception desk.
I purchased my Insignia from Hutchings Vauxhall Pontypridd on the 1st Aug 18 from Phil Dury. The customer service was excellent, honest and all the information given was correct. The car was stunning,clean and in an excellent condition as described in the advert. There was a small issue but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently. I was most impressed by the attitude of the staff both prior to and after the sale. I would definitely recommend them as a trustworthy dealer with outstanding customer service.

I saw this vivaro notified by car gurus as a good deal So i reserved it with £250. I asked Gavin to send me photos of rear of vehicle to check if it can accomodate metal tubing under passenger seats . As in Renault Biz + vans. and info re guarantees etc etc .Result : he didnt bother to reply . Several phone calls also cut off ? Meanwhile application forms were filled in with understanding after viewing if i found ok .i would go ahead .After a week when received photos .I canceled the deal as saw from photos van not suitable. While i was away on holiday i received a bill from finance company .although i had no van . To make matters worse they had sold the van also to someone else as well .I contacted finance co imediatly who advised me i was liable for the £7000 + as they had actioned for the funding without me seeing vehicle. Their reply : they collected the money in case i wanted to buy so i could drive off . I was not impressed . Then before leaving abroad as i cancelled reguested the £250 from Gavin .reply : you wiĺ receive in a few days . Returned from week abroad . he didnt bother . I have now had to contact solicitors to deal with all the stress as ive tried to deal with their account manager Clair Martin .and got nowhere. I would not recommend this company as appart from terrible service .they betrayed my trust by using my signature on finance forms to obtain cash without me seing the vehicle while i was away abroad .Eric Pritchard
Nice little family run dealership local to me in Pontypridd, when you go in they are very polite and welcoming, tea and coffee and all that, I see a lot of cars in the area with their sticker in the back window and they have been there a long time so they must be doing something right. As for the car there was a couple of things they said they would do before I took the car away which didn't get done which was slightly disappointing, if they had worked a little harder I'd of been happy to give them 5 stars.
