I brought this car via email communication. I am pleased to say the car is as described.

Booked to view a vw golf. Upon arrival the car has in the showroom waiting for me all clean and ready. A test drive was offered and the car drove like a dream. Will be coming back for my next car.
I found a car online and took a chance I arranged finance and we picked it up. Simple as that they even put a bow on it on request and were very helpful I would recommend Ideal Car in Nottingham.
First let me point out that I knowingly bought a Cat D it was advertised on autotrader as such but not on the dealer website, of course they would have told me but think it should have been advertised as such, I love the car, not happy with the problems, dealer said they would sort out the recall then said they're unable to do so as a dealer, I spoke to BMW a couple of days ago and it's a lie, anyone can sort out the recall, the car developed an oil leak after 3 weeks ownership but only 2 weeks on the road quoted £300 + VAT to fix, inform dealer but not interested, point out also that 2 locking wheel nuts missing plus locking nut key also missing, get email from dealers lawyer, now I have lost trust I put the car in for a service, just had a call from the garage, brake pads badly worn, front and rear brake discs badly pitted front and rear, so more expense, dealer did offer to fix oil leak but I don't have the time to go back and forth to Nottingham or they offered £100 toward repair, next option was alternative dispute resolution costing £49.50 but I wouldn't be allowed to leave a review and I think its important that customers can make an informed decision, looks like I will have to sort out all the problems then go and see my own lawyer

The only good part to my experience with Ideal Car is that the £250 deposit I had paid to reserve a Skoda Roomster on ebay was refunded instantly, however I feel I should still warn others about my experience. After paying the deposit by bank transfer I did a little googling about this dealer and came across these reviews which made me a little concerned. I was due to travel up from Cambridge by train tomorrow to pick up the car, but decided to take a trip to Nottingham today to check out the car first. I was greeted by the guys and the car was ready for me to expect. As I walked up to it alarm bells were ringing as paintwork on the rear nearside door and wing clearly didn’t match the rest of the car. It wasn’t hard to confirm that a bodywork repair had been done because the workmanship was so terrible. It can’t have been done by a professional. The paint also looked pretty flat on the nearside front door. I reckon the myopic clown who did the repair probably made a bad attempt at blowing it in the make the ‘join’ less obvious. In addition to this there were a couple of dents on the drivers door. It beggars belief that a car sales business would put a car in this state up for sale. This is the sort of thing you may expect to come across with a private sale. A waste of half a day and a few gallons of fuel.
* BUYER BEWARE * Purchase from Northern Ireland, over the phone, based on the AutoTrader description (paying full asking price), which was a smooth enough transaction. On arrival at site was met with pretty much the car as described, however it soon became apparent that not all was as it seemed. The description referred to the car being "serviced" and "professionally valeted". The car had been washed, polished and vacuumed - that was it. The dash, carpets and upholstery were in a very poor state of cleanliness. When I arrived I had only 20 minutes on site before I needed to leave to catch a ferry. Unfortunately for me there was another customer on site and I didn't get to speak to the staff as I had to go. I immediately needed to find a petrol station as the car was supplied empty. On driving it also quickly became apparent that there was excessive travel on the handbrake, which didn't hold the car at a stop! On opening the bonnet I was surprised to see the air filter was very dirty, for a car that had just been serviced. Once home and settled phoned Ideal Car. It took a number of phone calls and promises of a call back once they had spoken to the "Boss". Over a week of calls and the final response was "The car was vacuumed but not shampooed and the young worker had been disciplined. Bring the car back and we will get it properly valeted. The car had an oil & filter change, in line with the service book". So to recap: - 1. No fuel in the car. 2. A handbrake that didn't break. 3. A "professional valet" that wasn't carried out. 4. A "service" that was nothing more than an oil & filter change, if that even took place. 5. A solution that I spend hundreds of pounds bringing the car back to get shampooed! The "Boss" knew I would have to get a ferry over and this was completely unrealistic, hence this review. * BUYER BEWARE *

Hello, you had 1 hour to view the car and it’s valet! You didn’t mention anything, Then you demand £60 for a car wash or otherwise you will leave a bad review! Totally unfair, car travelling back over 300 miles will surely get dirty. Will we are glad you made it home safely and the car is running fine.
Just been to Ideal Car. I was greeted by the salesman and the left to take my time and check the car. The documents were ready to view in the office along with a hot drink waiting for me. A test drive was offered, the car drove perfect and a deal was done. I wish buying a car was always this easy.

Had a problem with the car I bought from Ideal Car, Adam quickly resolved the issue for me and even dropped it back off. Thank you guys
Worst thing I ever did was going to Ideal Car Ltd on Egypt Road, Nottingham! Friendly but they don't give names or proper receipts. The adverts in Autotrader don't match what this operation are providing. Car bought cost a fortune to get the car roadworthy but it died every week. The firm only answered the phone once, ignored emails and recorded delivery letters. The car had to be scrapped and no one from Nottingham cares.

You purchased the car as spares or repair clearly agreed by both parties for £195 as you said you would be using it as spares, you decided to repair apparently.
