For the past two years, I've been receiving recall letters from BMW and attempting to schedule my car service with Inchcape BMW Reading. However, they've consistently avoided booking my car, citing a lack of required parts. Despite finally securing an appointment in April after contacting them in January, they canceled it on the day due to a shortage of technicians, failing to inform me beforehand. They offered a complimentary wash as compensation, but upon collecting my car, it remained unwashed due to staff shortages. This experience wasted both my time and money, as I had to hire another car for the day. It appears they're prioritizing other vehicles over those booked for recall repairs. Very unprofessional, totally not expected. This particular showroom ruined the whole Brand name.

I would advise anyone using Reading BMW for a recall to avoid using their service option. They found 3 faults quoting £800 to fix. When i went in again to get the issues fixed i was called at 10 o clock and the cost was now £1800. I challenged this against the quote. The BMW colleague did some digging and came back with a 15% goodwill offer but the cost had since gone up to £2300! 3x times the original quote and 15% was considered a good offer from them! But wait, there's more....dropped my car into the local AA approved garage the next day. It was returned the same day where the mechanic uttered the words "There isn't a single thing wrong with your vehicle" As i said, dont use BMW reading, they're just trying to rip you off for work that likely doesn't even need doing.

This time one is juddering so I now don’t feel safe driving it and an oil leak which was most definitely not there before!

I have honestly never received service like this. The website/autotrader advert states that "This BMW 4 Series is fully prepared and ready for its next journey and can be delivered to your location or collected whenever suits you!" (does not state within 50 miles) i informed them i am 200 miles away, this was never an issue, explained i had a part ex? (never an issue) asked about car tax (quoted the wrong prices) I then basically agreed to take the car full price and my finance application was submitted/in place. I then received an image of a scuffed wheel and damage to a door which needed respraying. Please note the advert for the car quotes - "With just 1 owner, it has been meticulously looked after as shown and is ready for its new owner to enjoy". I then got told they would need to see my part ex and i would need to travel down.. To then receive a call-back from a manager who started the phone call "Hi, i believe your asking/expecting us to do something that we don't do?" very patronising attitude throughout the call. Also you will see that the website states that cars can be reserved for £99 however this branch will ask you to leave £500. I was told previously £99 only secures it for 48 hours but £500 secures it for longer? Whilst on the website i noticed they also give a part ex valuations instantly which when i started to go through this, it was basically the exact same questions i was asked on my first phone call when i told them i had a part exchange so i am guessing they use the inchcape valuation tool? Either way if they don't, my valuation my end come back £400 more than what they offered me (same questions answered) very strange. If anyone is considering buying a car from this branch I hope this review of my experience gives a better insight of what type of branch you are dealing with.

"Bmw 330e shocking service"

Shocking costumer service..... I have 330e hybrid and few months ago I got drivetrain malfunction and battery not being charged warning messages. I changed the battery for a non original one, but the problem was not solved. While all BMW were closed during Covid19 I took the car to an independent BMW specialist and after few days diagnostics he said the the KLE module has failed and I will need to wait for BMW to reopen and get it fixed. So... I booked in for a repair on 11.06 with a loan vehicle. Dropped the car on 11.06 and after few hours I got a call from them saying that the car is “fixed”. (They charged the high voltage battery and the 12v battery. I passionately explained to the guy on the phone that I have already done that but the car was still not drivable and asked him to investigate further he called me on 15.06 that they have been testing the car and there is no sign of warning messages. Ok .... I thought may be I am wrong... Today 16.06 I went to BMW to collect my car and ..... YES the warning messages pop out straight away.... then I went back to the guy who gave me the keys to ask him what’s going on (my be that is supposed to be a very funny joke). And he started explaining straight away (I am sure he knew that the car is not fixed) that the NON original battery is causing the problem. Hm.... ok so if that is the problem why you didn’t tell me that it needs to be changed?!?!? Also I said ok if you put a original battery and I pay for it and then I got the same warning messages are you going to give me my money back for the original battery? (If that has not been the problem) .... and he answered NO.... Basically I have read lots of forums and it seems that the problem is with the KLE module which is a common problem with that model..... BMW can you please tell me why are you calling me saying that my car is fixed and wasting my time. They called me after few weeks and said it will cost around £4500 to rapair and there will be no good will from BMW as the car has not been serviced by them (which is not true, I have a 3 years service pack).

Recently, I went to Cooper BMW Reading to look at new car options within my budget. Jonathan Hood was the Sales person who patiently and honestly discussed options, pros and cons with me. I also spoke with Tristan and Jason, Sales Managers, who provided good service. A few months ago, I took my car to Cooper BMW Reading for a possible tyre replacement. After checking it, the Service Dept advised me to save the money as the damage to the tyre was mainly cosmetic (as opposed to what a different dealership had implied prior to that). It's refreshing to deal with a dealership that consider the customer's needs rather than exploiting customers for profit.

Saw an advert for a 2014 Audi TTS, just what I was looking for. Buy with confidence said the advert, 12 month warranty and Roadside assistance it said. Phoned up and arranged to go an see it the next day. I will get it all cleaned up ready said the sales man. I arrived the next day to see it and it was really dirty. Looked it over, test drove it and agreed a price. Picked it up a few days later to see it had been cleaned but discovered marks in the paint work and a small dent in the bonnet. Said I was disappointed with this but was assured it was always there. Was promised a touch up paint pen, which I never got. Maybe that's why it was still dirty when I saw it. (I had it detailed and paint corrected for £500 elsewhere) I was told that all the paperwork would come in an email. However it became apparent that the sales man was the first person in 20 years to mishear my email address, and so I got nothing. I walked away with two keys, the handbooks and a tear out receipt for my money. No new MOT as promised, but I could go back when due and get it for free. No professional bill of sale, no Warranty paperwork, no service history/ book just a print out of services from Audi. I was later told that they throw away all bills receipts, service books etc because of GDPR? Anyway within in two hours of buying the car, I went to flip the bonnet to look at the engine, and the catch came off in my hand. Phoned them straight away think bit of nuisance, but they will sort it. NO response back that day, so called them the next day to be told it was alright when you tried it so its down to you to sort out. At this point I knew I was dealing with a very poor customer service outfit. I could go on about me demanding the 120 point check they do on the car (which I eventually got and discovered they failed to correct the things that were out of their own documented limits like the brake pads etc) and on how I had to email Paul Glister (Head of BMW there) etc But I think you have got the jist. This is the 37th car I have purchased in my life time, some private, but a lot from dealers, and I have to say that this was the worst buying experience I have ever had. Will I be taking it back for its free MOT there? You must be joking. I will never go anywhere near this garage again. I suggest you don't either.

As part of the normal service routine, I have booked my appointment to Cooper BMW Reading, Normal front pad breaks was due, and they identified additional issue with the disk! Normally done at 60k miles but my car only at 38k! I could understand this could happen for whatever reason but what I don’t understand is how the roof of my car is now large scratches on in few areas of the roofquite badly! When asking them they are obviously denying it, not trying to understand and telling me it s my word against them!! What a great comment from their senior service advisor

Ah.. So not sure where to start from, I had my car booked with BMW Cooper Reading for 20th of December when I walked in I was impressed with the showroom, probably one of the biggest BMW dealer I have seen but unfortunately all those looks were deceiving. At the time of booking I have mentioned about some connected drive issues too which they kindly agreed to look into it, probably my fault I shouldn't have. Next day I received a call from a service advisor that we have done the gearbox adaption reset and now waiting for BMW Germany to get back to us regarding connected drive issue. Two days gone, 3rd, 4th, 5th and so on... At that time I was getting bit annoyed that I requested that can you park connected drive issue and get the car in the workshop for issues orginally reported and the answer was "no" we will get the car in the workshop at the same time. Now the 10 days gone, sent an email to an advisor and no response. 15 days gone, email sent and rang several times no response, 20 days gone no response, on 24th day yes you heard me right after 24 days, I had to ring Paul Glister, Head of Business at Cooper Reading explaining my frustration and demanded my car back. Paul was shocked that it has taken 24 days and assured me that he will personally look into this matter which was a bit of relief, guess what all of a sudden I received an email from my service manager James Grant that workshop controller would like to take my car away on a overnight test drive to experience the issues I have reported and they need my authorization, which I have authorized straight away. 2 more days gone and complete radio silence again, naturally I sent an an email to Paul Glister again asking for an update and no surprises I received an email from James Grant my service advisor within few hours that car is fixed, and guess what they have done in 4 weeks, gearbox adaptation reset and balanced 4 wheels, which I totally understand is a very labour intensive job and took exactly 4 weeks to fix, joke!!!!!!!!!! So basically they just wanted to wash the hand off and give me car back after 28 days without doing any work other then what I have mentioned above as probably even they know how incompetent their workshop is. When I went to collect the car it was suppose to be all washed up and cleaned, I saw the car parked outside yes it was all washed up with filthy wheels and water on the center arm rest inside the car looks like they have used a dirty towel on interior and whole car was wet, so after the so called wash they didn't even bother drying the car. Neil, senior service advisor came to handover the key as my original advisor didn't had the courage to face me, gave me the key with ZERO apology as nothing has happened and no explanation why it took them 28 days and all the inconvenience that has caused me during that time. At that point I was so frustrated that I didn't even wanted to stay at that place for one extra minute, I grab the key went inside the car and surprise surprise after the so called overnight test drive they didn't even bother putting some diesel in the car and gave the car back to me empty tank, naturally I drove the car to the nearest fuel station and then to the carwash to get the car cleaned. Gutted why I haven't read some of the RECENT feedback before booking the car in with them as they are all negative. Final verdict, if you love your car please STAY AWAY from this dealership at any AVOID any any cost. AVOID BMW COOPER READING AT ANY COST.
