I was looking for a new car, I visited several dealers in Basingstoke, I dealt with a salesman called Joe, he was fantastic, we bought a new Mokka and it was much cheaper than was advertised on the Vauxhall main site, we had a Vauxhall already and there was extra discount for being loyal to the brand, such a friendly dealer with the customers best interests, I wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Love my new car.

I was driving to see relatives when my car broke down, I was recovered to J Davy, they were so helpful, I explained my situation and they slotted my car in so I could get back on the road. From being stranded on the M3, I was back on the road within 2 hours, absolutely brilliant service and the staff were so helpful. I would definitely recommend.

All i can say is STAY AWAY. Brought a nearly new car, Clutch went in less than 6 weeks and they blamed it on our driving and then charged 2K to replace it. Had the car for over 6 months now and clutch hasn't gone again which is odd as our driving style hasn't changed so was genuinely expecting to buy a new clutch every 6 weeks. Dodgy dodgy dodgy and never again will i own a vauxhall.
This car dealership is owned by a bunch of con-artists, the type of people you see operating the waltzers at a rundown fairground.. with less teeth than the cast of Jeremy Kyle. No better than the hooligan, scallywags who invented the hoopla or 2p slot machines. Crooks.
So a change in my circumstances meant that I needed to buy a car and as I have already previously owned 4 Vauxhalls I thought who better to buy from than J DAVY Basingstoke. From the start to the finish of the whole experience my car salesman Mr Michael Dales could not of been anymore helpful than he was he absolutely bent over backwards to get me the best possible deal he could on my brand new 66 Corsa 1.4 Limited Edition and i have to say i am thrilled to bits with it. This is the first car i have purchased brand new and straight from the dealership and i would do it again should the need arise in the future Thank you J DAVY and Thank you Michael Dales for putting a huge smile on my face. I bought a Vauxhall Corsa from J Davy in April. The service was good until after I had paid out...The after care is shocking. I was told that the spare key for the car couldn't be found and I am still waiting for it (its been a couple of months) So I am really not happy about that. I have phoned up at least 6 times and they just keep fobbing me off with excuses. I expect some money back if I do not receive the key. Other than that the car is good but I feel I might have paid a bit too much for it now. I would not recommend this dealership because the after care is poor.

Worst Customer Service ever. Met a bunch of rude staff at J Davy Basingstoke today. We had booked a vehicle last Saturday with a deposit of £250 for a car which was supposed to arrive on Monday. The Booking was for Thursday. However I called on Monday and left a message to say that I can come on Monday to have a look. No one bothered to return the call. When I went to see the dealer at scheduled time of 11:30, the salesman made us wait for 30 minutes bothering us with personal questions. Can live with that, no worries Did a test drive. and proposed our budgeted price of 6K which the salesman knew from beginning. The car was marketed at 7500. He went in and out of managers cabin few times bring the price down to 6750. In the meanwhile I had climbed to 6500. The Manager James decide to come out and take charge of the discussion. Started barking loudly saying that we are wasting his time, when in fact it was other way round. Poor salesmanship. Worst customer service ever seen. His aides came running along side him, abused me and asked me never to come again. One wouldn't even think a human being treating another in this fashion and these are 'supposedly' professionals . Vauxhall is in wrong hands in Basingstoke if they start treating potential customers like this. The salesman knew our budget, he had got the price down from £7500 to £6750 (with an alleged coupon of £250) which then the manager claimed was a fixed price. He claimed that he kept the vehicle for me all this time, which according to the salesman had come only Thursday morning. I booked Toyota today who was more friendly dealer.
