Walked inTO Sheffield Volkswagen expecting a little knowledge and a helping hand right away given that I'd done my own internet research and discovered: a) my ideal car wasn't actually built by VW b) my available choice according to the website was available out in the lot. SO- imagine how amazed I was to be met by the greeter, who, after my initial explanation, took me over to some grumpy guy, who begrudgingly searched for 5 minutes to discover: a) my ideal car wasn't actually built by VW and, b) my available choice according to the website was available out in the lot. somewhere....but not sure where and too busy to find out as he had an appointment (in 43 minutes time...) Handed back to the greeter, who let me off the leash to walk around in the lot (in the rain) by myself. Eventually Katie- another sales rep came to get me, offer me coffee and find the aforementioned car. Katie was young, new and honest. If I'd NOT been totally put off by greeter and Mr Grumpy Trousers, I would have TOTALLY test driven the car. As it was, I did the rudimentary checks and left asap. I went to narrow my search, I am buying a car. It's unlikely I will return to this dealership- I'll happily drive anywhere else. Clearly a well established dealership who've lost their way. Poor Katie. Maybe she'll get a job in a nice place later.
