I bought a bike from Jemspeed just from conversation and photos alone. Bad mistake. It turned out the bike was registered a year after it was made and Jemspeed used that to the utmost to mislead me. They made out in the advert that it was made in 2017, not just registered then. The newer model would have had loads of improvements in the year they described it. Upon delivery it had a dangerous squared off tyre and a new one on the front that mismatched the rear. The bike was NOT serviced as promised either. It was covered in silicone spray to make it look good, just made it dangerous! Thats £7500 and they couldn't stretch to an oil and filter change or even correct chain tension? No compensation for all the agro and expense they caused. Stay away from these plebs if i were you. Theres plenty more bike shops out there with good reputation. Having a fancy arse shop and cafe is bollocks if you can't give some decent and honest service. AVOID!

Bought a rocket from hem last October. They said they would give it a full mot and service. Picked it up no service. But full mot. 8 months later and only 250 miles later took it for a service expected everything to be ok. But no. Brake disc shot front tire was a back tire fitted wrong. Various other issues found for a bike that was supposed to of had a mot 250 miles previous. Sending bikes out of the shop with fake mot’s and dangerous faults is putting peoples lives at risk. Don’t buy from them. They are a disgrace. Don’t buy from them. AVOID

JEM Speed Shop say they'll do something for you but once you've bought your bike and gone all the good will goes out the window. Don't expect any after sale help. If they say they've serviced your vehicle don't believe it!!!

Jem Speed Shop sold me a bike that had a 100% clear MOT with no major issues or advisories. The MOT the following year after only 65 miles had been put on the bike and it had been in dry storage for 10 months failed spectacularly. To the point where the garage advised that it was too dangerous to ride. The biggest issue (but not the only one) being that the fuel tank was leaking and wasn't (and couldn't be) attached to the bike properly. I contacted Jem and they've washed their hands of it as the bike is out of warranty despite the fact that all of the issue it failed it's MOT on would have been apparent on the previous MOT but wouldn't have been discovered until the next MOT. So they're either grossly incompetent or they're falsifying MOTs. I'll leave that up to you to decide.

Rubbish after sales, bike not as described and mechanics can’t even do an oil change properly. They take your money then the bike’s your problem.

I was advised a bike I was interested in was clean and had a factory special edition paint job. I put a deposit on it. Later I found the information to be incorrect, that the bike has never been made in those colours, it was a respray, it was also confirmed from another dealer who serviced the bike and supplied from new that the bike had been in a major off requiring work.... which they refused to carry out so severe was the damage. I approached the company about this info and asked for a refund. Their response was rude, aggressive and I was refused a refund. I lost £125 deposit and just cut my losses. My advice would be to avoid JEM Speed Shop at all costs...

What a complete joke of a place JEM Speed Shop is... no wonder they didn't want us to collect the bike and insisted it was delivered. As then they didn't have to replace the dead battery that was completely knackered and wouldn't charge. How they got it through an MOT 3 days prior to delivery leaves me scratching my head, clearly had to jump start it first.... After spending over £10k on a bike it takes the p*** they didn't even have the decency to replace it, then couldn't even remember to include the MOT certificate when delivering the bike.

I just happened to fall across this review page for JEM Speed Shop and find 5/6 very poor if not ‘shocking’ reviews ........... this cannot be the shop I know and love ?? , for starters Dave has many hundreds of customers weekly , so the odd few dissatisfied is always going to be proportionate........however , has anyone took there hat off to what Dave has achieved is only a few years ? Has anyone the foresight to create such a magical event , has anyone done anything similar for batley ? No - is anyone more generous with his family and friend , ? .... these internet troll muppets are the victor meldrew scurge,of the biking community , who shop online , get delivery without even leaving their armchair , then shout ‘foul’ when there is a mark on the tank , or tyres dust on the brakes ...... and these are the muppets that’s can not afford the bike , but finance it up over 4 years - yes their may be cheaper bikes privately but they require a cash purchase !! , I’ve witness the most unbelievable deals / vintage / bobbers / and super cool bespoke customs stuff ......... Dave is twice the man , of any of these morons , and I’m sure Dave would not have unhelpful , or rude staff ....... never ,!! - let’s raise our glasses and toast to Dave achievements , no man in the vicinity of Leeds or the northwest .... has such creative ability / period ,,,,, amen brother xx love u lots , Jue Smith - fellow dodgeball.

Found a vehicle I had my heart set on at Jem Speed Shop. We agreed a price I went away to sort my finances. I was happy to give a deposit / part payment but was told that wasn't necessary. Phoned the "sales manager" to say my money was in place and to arrange payment. They insisted I paid in cash I agreed but said that I wouldn't be able to get the cash before middle to end of next week as it was a considerable amount. They said as soon as possible would be fine and they would take the vehicle "off sale" Three hours later I was contacted to say "the other" salesman had sold the vehicle and taken full payment by bank transfer not knowing that the vehicle was already sold... to me! So therefore I couldn't now proceed with the purchase! Be careful! on face value these are "proper people" but really they are not nice people to deal with!
