Short story : There is a vehicle that has a gearbox defect. Be wary...it's still listed for sale. Read more for full details. 2008 Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC EX 5dr i-SHIFT Auto ONLY 39 K. HATCHBACK Petrol Auto Just keep in mind this quote from their website while reading this review. *"We are a family run business that are very aware of the perception that most people have of the motor trade. "* This is just my bad experience with Jamesco. -----------------------------------------*wasted time*----------------------------------------- I went all the way from Norwich to them which is a one way ~2h drive. On Sunday ..they were closed without notice. When they should have been open. Sent them a message on google...after which I got an answer from Martin saying to come again Monday. I took a day off work and went there again on Monday. Martin was not there. So that was another day wasted. Totally I wasted 8 + hours only on the road back and forth. -----------------------------------------*wasted time*----------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------*Scammer/Greedy*----------------------------------------- But on Monday I, at least got to test the car...which revealed that the gear box had a fault. The gear "slipped" when going from 5th gear to 6th in full automatic mode. Which is rather dangerous in certain circumstances. I got confirmation also that they do not have the means to repair it and it will be sold as it is. I just got a message from Martin saying that he refuses to continue with the trade. Basically because he would have to lower the price and he's not willing to do that. I won't post the full message here but it can be summed up as. "I will wait for someone that is dumber than you and doesn't notice the fault. So I can get more money...closer to the asking price." -----------------------------------------*Scammer/Greedy*----------------------------------------- The car is still listed with the same price as I saw it. Maybe other people had great experiences with them. For me it was the typical motor trader that's sits on the line of being a legal scammer. After this incident I would highly recommend bringing someone that's mechanically minded and can test the car properly before deciding to buy.

We purchased a Honda jazz in January from Jemsco and absolutely love it , the whole experience was professional, relaxed and a real pleasure from start to finish . Can’t recommend highly enough this garage and would definitely come back

Just bought another superb used car from JEMSCO LTD I have been coming back to Jems for many years because I know I can trust them. I know the car I,m purchasing will have a PDI service and thorough check over before it leaves. They always put a full years MOT on the car and give it full Valet before you pick it up, plus all there cars are HPI CHECKED. What I like about them is there is no pressure so you can take your time without a salesman breathing down your neck. Both Martin & Jay are very friendly but above all they are honest I,ve always found there communications to be good as well, any problems and they will do there upmost to resolve any situations that should arise. and genuinely strive to make the car buying process as simple as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend them to Friends or Family should they wish to purchase a used car.
