Before leaving a deposit on a car you have never seen please read my experience We are now fighting for a refund of £500. I messaged JJ Premium Cars Ltd through ebay for a Mercedes E350 cdi Estate they had advertised, I left my Telephone number and duly got a call from Jonathan the sales man He confirmed to me the car was as described online and excellent condition mechanically And bodywork. So we agreed a price £12,000 Sunday afternoon, I would contact him Monday as I would need to request a day of work to go view / collect the car, I got another call from Jonathan On Sunday Jonathan had someone else interested in the car and I would need to leave a deposit to reserve the car, I thought this a little strange and replied is £50 ok no he replied we would need a minimum of £500 deposit, ok as long as the car is how you have described and as the advert described I will give you the deposit which I did with a debit card. On Monday we arranged to collect the car on Thursday afternoon me and my wife travelled three hours from Peak District to Peterborough we were greeted by Jonathan the sales man who was still washing the car I was purchasing something I thought very strange as the car was damp and I could not clearly see the paintwork, Jonathan introduced us to Danielle the Sales manager we were greeted very professionally and courteous by both people. We asked if we could view the car on our own, so we could concentrate both Jonathan and Danielle left us to view the car. Upon inspection I could immediately see the car was not as described walking around the car I saw both wing mirrors were scratched, all four doors had small amounts of rust where the doors had been opened into another vehicle or wall making the car look a little untidy, I then noticed one of the sills on the driver’s side protruded over 1cm more than the passenger side, the passenger side quarter panel had a large dent in it, the driver’s door had a ding in it, the rear passenger rear wing had been pushed towards the lower panel and the paint had flaked off and the passenger side rear panel had 2 very large scuff/scratch marks around 6 inches by 5 inches. the rear hatch did not fit correctly I could fit 6 credit cards down the passenger side and only 2 on the driver’s side, At this point a stopped looking around the vehicle I took some photos of the dent in the quarter passenger side panel and various other pictures sent them to Rick Walters a professional body shop owner who could only assume that dent and the rear hatch not sitting correctly and the different colour rear wing that the car has previously been in an accident he advised me to walk away. I was then approached by Danielle the manager I pointed out the faults I had found she firstly called the workshop manager who inspected the sill and said it could be repaired but would need the wheel coming off, he then inspected the dent in the quarter panel and his words were ( I have never seen a dent their before! ) he had no idea what had caused it but said that a dent master or Body shop should be able to pull the dent out, I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR FOR £12000 THAT NEEDS TO GO TO A BODYSHOP FOR WORK THE DAY I BOUGHT IT!!! Danielle response was it is a 7-year-old car and all the dents, dings, scratches were age related marks and were fitting to a car of this age, I was shocked at this and extremely disappointed I had travelled this far to buy a car I imagined would be as described see advert (excellent condition throughout) The advert for the car said HPI clear and 2 owners on inspection of the report it has 3 owners and dealer stocking finance none of this was mentioned in the advert. I told Danielle I would not be buying the car as it was not what I wanted and not exactly as they described to say her attitude towards me changed is an understatement, she told me my £500 Deposit was non-refundable, I told her I was not aware it was non-refundable she said we sent you Confirmation of this via email once I had paid the deposit, my reply was how can you inform me The deposit is non-refundable after I have paid it ! the email was only found Friday 12th in my spam folder it does say I need to sign to agree i never signed this document and would never agree to a non-refundable deposit, JJ Premium Cars Danielle and Jonathan have not been honest about the description of the car and they most certainly did not explain their terms of non-refundable deposit I feel scammed and am extremely disappointed I was told the director JOHAN SEVASTIAN LEURIDAN-HERRERA would contact me but 5 days have now passed and I have had no such call. why are they not operating inside the UK Law!

just a quick update regarding my communication with JJ Premium Cars regarding the £500 deposit they refuse to refund for a car that was not as described, when i pointed out the many problems we found on inspection of the vehicle to the manager she tried to tell me i could not have a refund but could buy a different car, i asked for a refund she eventually after some time went away to speak to the Director she returned after 10 minutes to explain he had left the premises and was not contactable on the phone, he would be in touch as soon as possible regarding the refund, i left the premises on the 7th Jan first contact i received from the Director was a telephone call on the 23rd Jan some 16 days later, the call slated me for leaving bad reviews and he explained i would never receive a refund he then went on to tell me he was in the building and watched me leaving the building in a huff who wouldn't be upset poor car and £500 stolen!. buyers why trust a dealer that Lies !

Lesson one always pay deposits with a credit card and not debit as you can get a refund from the card Company if you have a problem.
Car seems ok but wasn't as immaculate as I hoped it would be - dirty glass and a few interior marks - but BIG issue was just one key. If I am spending in excess of £22,000 on a car less than 3 years old and with under £10k mileage I expect it to have both keys - even if they only had one when they took the car in. The service was courteous but there was zero interest in helping - in any way - to sort (or cover the cost - or even to put anything at all towards) sorting the problem out. I now have the issue and expense of sorting out a spare key which has soured the whole experience to be honest. Really disappointed.

At the point of sale, you were made aware that the vehicle had one key and a heavy discount was agreed. When asked if you were happy with the Full Valet on collection, you confirmed that you were. To be fair to JJ Premium Cars, the Vauxhall I bought from them has been perfect since I bought it. Now I've owned it for about 6 months and its been faultless amazingly. I recommend them because of this.

We recently bought a £14,000 car from JJ Premium cars. Before visiting their company we called to discuss part exchange of our car. In doing so we spoke to Johan who offered us a part exchange price and finance on the new car. He seemed very polite and helpful until we informed him we wouldn't need his finance as we had the cash to buy the car outright. Then his attitude changed, he became dismissive and disinterested. We should have taken that as a hint! We had travelled some distance to view the car and was disappointed at the condition. Bearing in mind we had given a weeks notice, the car was filthy. It hadn't been cleaned and inside was covered in a white dust as if it had. As if it had been stored on a building site. And if you can believe this, there was even a old dirty sock on the back seat! For £14k car we found this terrible. (This should have been hint number 2 to walk away). During the test drive I asked if the car was ready to go and was told that 'yes, it's ready to take today'. When I then mentioned it only had a few weeks MOT left (having checked previously) Johan claimed to be unaware (hint 3) and that this would need to be done before we took the car if we wanted it. (just as well as it later failed the MOT they did and had to have work done to get it through). Anyhow despite this we liked the car and discussed a price. After driving our old car he tried to knock us down on the agreed part exchange value saying it has a fault that would cost £300 to fix. (A faulty coil pack that costs £35 to buy). Little did he know I've been in the motor trade since leaving school and saw through the 'back street car dealer routine (yep, hint number 4) and I know how much parts are. We stuck by our guns and eventually got the agreed value on our part exchange. The new car came with a six month (and I use this term loosely) warranty. I specifically asked what it covered and was told 'absolutely everything' and so, despite the warning signs we agreed to take the car. After having the car two weeks, the dashboard has failed. We called the warranty company and guess what? The 'absolutely everything is covered warranty' doesn't cover the dashboard an we're now faced with a £300 repair. To quote Queen Elizabeth 'We are not amused'. I know what you're all thinking, after all those signs, why didn't we walk away and go elsewhere. Because the car is quite a rare model and they don't often come up for sale in the spec we wanted, we decided against our gut instinct to still go ahead with the purchase. Anyhow to sum up; JJ premium cars might look flashy and have high end cars, but they're no different to any other backyard car sales place. Don't let the name fool you. In our experience, Bad attitude, poor service and false claims would stop us from ever going back or recommending this place in future. You have been warned!

What we are struggling to understand is, if there were so many warning signs, why did you buy the vehicle from us? We appreciate they are not the most common vehicles but they are readily available across the UK. With regards to your part exchange vehicle, we did advise you that it would undergo an inspection before we agreed a final price. You were not mislead and were given the diagnostic print detailing the issues with your vehicle. If you have been in the motor trade as you have stated in your review, why did you not forewarn us of the issues with your part-exchange when we asked you if there were any faults? The issue was picked up immediately as it was not something which could be hidden and your journey to us would have been quite uncomfortable. Had you expressed your concerns with us, we would have been happy to help and come to an amicable resolution with you, however this review is the first we have heard of your displeasure. JJ Premium Cars is worst car dealership ever. Terrible service, rude and arrogant. Part exchanged a car, the car we received from them had bits that needed doing, even after they had said they had been resolved. Lied straight to our faces. Eventually had the problem fixed after we threatened to go to the ombudsman. Should not have had to even go down that route. They didn't send the logbook off until they sold our car so instead of receiving £200 min car tax return we received a lot less. The company is a joke. Avoid at all costs!

Unfortunately, an issue occurred with your partner’s new vehicle after the point of sale to which your partner contacted us and we arranged for the vehicle to be repaired immediately. The reason for the issue with the log book is because your partner did not provide us with one at the point of sale due to having lost it at which time we informed him that we would have to order a new one by post and it would be delivered to his home address by the DVLA within 6 weeks as per government guidelines, which he agreed. Not once have we not answered your calls or responded to your emails and at no point have you been lied to, or mislead. I am quite disheartened that you would leave such a review given the lengths we have gone to too make sure your partner was happy with the aftercare provided, as it was our understanding that he was. Not very helpful at all, the car was a different colour than what was advertised, There was paint on the interior and other bits and pieces not right. wouldn't recommend.
