Admittedly and ashamedly didn’t buy my car here THIS TIME round however def will next time based on the service I received. Friendly staff that seem to know their stuff. Got a brand new courtesy car while my car was in, albeit smaller than mine but def worth a lot more than mine and they only charged me for insurance not the car itself which was selfless. they told me about connecting my car to my phone and talked me through all the things the second hand dealer obviously didnt know about my car. I also didnt realise i would have got a 5 year warranty on my hyundai if I bought it from them but you live and learn. Also the tea, biscuits and craic were a nice touch! Is it weird I’m looking forward to my next car service? Lol

Recently I bought a car from John Mulholland Motors. I found the staff especially Chris and Ryeece to be courteous, professional, helpful and friendly. It was a pleasant experience and hassle free and that was down to the staff and folk in Randalstown.

Great service until they get your money and the car starts having issues, then they outright lie to your face as previous reviews have stated, steer clear!

A fantastic local, family business that tries hard and never cuts corners. Unlike any other car dealer or profit mad plc, they actually give back too, having donated over £150,000 in four years to fund cancer nursing locally.
Had an absolute experience from hell buying a used Hyundai Tucson here. Tom is lovely and friendly until you return weeks later with the car after having issues - shaking steering and shuddering on acceleration. He completely dismissed me on the phone and ignored my mother and i’s existence once in store, very cringe worthy childish behaviour from a ‘professional’. Then I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with the sales manager Russell. He also completely dismissed the issues I was having with the car and argued that I had to give them an opportunity to repair the car under the consumer rights act 2015 - not the case when it’s been under a month since purchase. He attempted to play me and my mother against one another and was downright rude to me, typical condescending seedy car sales man attitude dealing with a young woman. After 5 minutes of a tirade of abuse we asked for his manager. The owner of the motor group Shona then came in, she listened and after stating that they’d sold 20 of these cars and there were no issues (almost incinuating I was making up the issues - unsure what her point was here) she had me show another sales manager (not Russell) the issues during a drive, after seeing the issues within 30 minutes we had the car returned and money in the bank. Some serious training is needed on dealing with customer complaints post purchase, everyone is so lovely and helpful until they have your money. Also to add there was confusion as to which car I was purchasing initially- they had taken delivery of a large amount of similar mileage and spec cars, there was a mix up with reg plates, which had been sold and not etc - upon taking payment I found the conversation between Neal and Tom particularly inappropriate. Neal stated to Tom that ‘the Indians’ who were in earlier had bought the car with the reg on the paperwork, in this day and age it stuck me as a poor description of the owners. Added to the fact the company has already been taken up for previous race discrimination perhaps training on this would also be useful. All in all a painful experience with John Mulholland motors when it really did not need to be. Take your hard earned cash elsewhere.

Some very unfair reviews here by the looks of things, in the “be kind” era we live in, it seems to get lost when we are talking about people in work. This place has always gone above and beyond from what I can see. Theyre a big local employer, sell value for money cars and put back into their community. I see people complain about the cleanliness of a car yet in their comment they didnt even drive one! Go figure! I’ve only had pleasant dealings with this family business

Called last week to view the Tucson Motability options, had a look at a model located in the showroom. Introduced to two members of the sales staff who we informed that we would be looking for an automatic Tucson as heath issues prevents me from driving a manual version. We were told that no automatic versions were on the premises so we made an appointment to return to have a test drive in an automatic model which they assured us that they would have one available for us to test drive when we kept our appointment on Tuesday. Whilst arriving a little later than the appointed time we entered the garage and approached a sales person and informed him that we had an appointment for to test drive an automatic Tucson, to be met with his response to us that they had no automatic version of the car in their garage. He did not seem aware that we had an appointment so off he went to discuss with the 'Fleet Manager' (whom we had met with on the previous Saturday morning and who confirmed that he would make the further appointment) leaving us in limbo for several minutes whilst they had a chat. Eventually the sales person came back to us again confirming that they had not got an automatic Tucson for us to test drive. The Fleet Manager Russel interjected informing us that we had never advised him of our requirement for an automatic vehicle and that they had a manual version for a trial drive. (if we had wanted a manual to test drive we could have done it on our first visit) Again he insisted that we were told that an manual vehicle test drive was being booked and upon correcting him he went on to say that 'if' he had said that he was sorry and that was a misunderstanding on his behalf. We informed him again that this appointment was made for us to have a test drive in an automatic Tucson upon our second appointment. This is why we made the further appointment in the first place. Russel was not in the least fazed during the debate in fabricating a lame excuse. Having heard enough from him we got up and left totally disgusted by the way we were treated. It was quite obvious that no further appointment was made for us by him an that he had completely forgot about us returning than making up lies that we had called to test drive a manual version, which we were not!. Finally, I would caution any person entitled to a Motability vehicle or a prospective purchaser to give this place a wide berth as these people have no scruples nor customer care, capable of telling you anything (without shame) How they run this business is a mystery to us as they demonstrated that they cannot admit their mistakes when trying to insist that we were wrong. What happened to the old saying that 'The Customer is Always Right'? Believe you me it does not exist in this place.

Having purchased 2 new cars from John Mulholland Motors within a year I expected better service. I agreed servicing as part of my vehicle price and I did not expect to be told that my service was going to cost £280+!!!!! When I negotiated my vehicle deal I wanted an all in monthly cost which is what I thought I got. I was mistaken and a victim of a typical car sales pitch - I have learnt my lesson, read the small print and don’t trust a sales person!!!!! In addition the girl in the service department lacked manners and was extremely cheeky and arrogant!!! I won’t be back and I won’t recommend to anyone.
