Bought a mercedes from Johval Lodge Car Sales. Wish I had never set sight on them. Sean was very friendly while taking our money, but he is nothing but a con merchant. We had trouble with the car from the outset. First we couldn't fold the back seat, tried to contact him via email but no response. Finally gave up and got it sorted ourselves. Then we put it in to our own mechanics, he found that the brakes were completely dangerous and could have gone at anytime due to corroded pipes, pads, and discs. Engine management light kept coming on, it would stay off for a few days then then come on again. Recently tried to tax it only to find that the 12 months mot was fake. Obviously the person who did the mot is a friend of his who is as corrupt as he is. The car is back in the garage again for repairs which will cost god knows what. This will be the fourth time since we bought the goddam thing in May. Our old car was old, but it spent less time at the mechanics in the last five years than this has spent in there in 6 months. So far it has cost us more than a thousand pounds and still rising. With this guy still taking people's money. My advise would be to go elsewhere there are better traders anywhere than these.
We bought a BMW and within 2 weeks it broke down. It has taken over £5,ooo to put it right...they can't keep taking honest peoples money.
The car looked beautiful but after a month problems arose. By the time Id had the car 4 months it was off the road. It has been to countless mechanics and specialists but no use it will not start. Car is now being scrapped. No response from seller. No reply to emails or calls. Now phone is disconnected. Very poor service.
happy customer had my eye on a focus rs for months but could not find one as described in the adverts every time i would view a car described as mint condition there would be scuffs and dents got fed up with looking then i spotted the rs that johval had and as previous adverts it stated it was out of the box after 4 phone conversations i decided to view the car to see if this one was anything like i was being told it was the dealer said if i could fault it he would give me the car so i went hell bent on ripping the car to bits ha when i arrived i was greeted by the dealer very likable chap the location was idyllic really was a nice set up the car was pulled to the front and shining like a new penny and the usual layer upon layer of tyre shine (just one of my bugbears ) i went round the car keen to find faults and put the dealer in his place but the harder i looked to find faults the more i fell in love the car was spotless not a single stone chip to be found the dealer came over probably with all his sales spiel ready but i cut him dead no need to sell me the car sir the car has sold itself had the car over a week and ready to take her to her first show i would recommend buying from johval and will be going back when my taste in cars matures ha
Has anybody tried suing this company? Bought a car that was: a;- not fit for purpose b;- without airbags c;- altered mileage. I have failed to get anywhere with them through trading standards/ solicitors so far.

Quick to take payment but the car wasn't road worthy. Also the warranty is useless, but the law has changed... people you can demand a full refund within 6 months of purchase now look up the sale of good act. The law changed in October 2015. My advice avoid avoid avoid.

As per a previous reviewer, this dealership are the most unprofessional, disorganised, illegitimate and downright poor dealership I've ever come across. They intentionally avoid calls, emails and texts, they have fed me false information regarding the tax, changing of private plates and getting the documents sorted with DVLA has now taken a total of 12 weeks. The dealer did not do the Plate transfer as agreed and paid extra for, so it has cost £160.00 in total to get it sorted. After reading reviews since I can see numerous other people have had similar issues. My advice is simply to avoid this dealership. The car we bought is absolutely great but the hassle of the legal paperwork and lack of contact from the dealer means I would never use them again or suggest to others.
Shocked to read the other reviews as our experience was exceptional we purchased a stunning Bentley GT from Johval Lodge and found the salesman a pleasure with no pressure tactics and easy to deal with the car was as described and the location and setting of Johval Lodge is superb. highly recommended.
Where to start with Johval Lodge Car Sales, don't even bother with this so called dealership, salesman did not have a basic understanding of the vehicle he was selling to me. If you plan to try to phone them, forget it . Had a few issues with the car and the salesman said it would not be a problem HA HA. Just send him in the invoice and he would take care of it. Wont even answer his phone now, as I said dont touch Johval Lodge Car Sales with a BARGE POLE.

Wouldn't bother. If I'd of checked this page for Johval Lodge Car Sales before buying wouldn't of bothered. The dealer doesn't bother replying to any calls or messages. Sold me a car which he had advertised wrong mileage, there was numerous issues with paint work etc which were resolved all being tyres low, brake discs worn, air bag light on, bulbs out all things he said would be fixed. WASTE OF TIME.
