STAY AWAY, THIS COMPANY IS DISOLVED But still selling cars, and I gave this company £2100 and my old car, for a Nissan Murano that lasted 2 months, then the engine gave in, the 2 mechanics that have looked at it says theirs no way they did not it was shot. I am so so angry, The car is worth £200 scrap, which does not even cover the cost of recovery and mechanic inspection.

Ive bought my last two cars from JJ Autos, got a very fair part exchange price when I returned and will no doubt be back again, friendly easy going and very knowledgeable. They even dropped my last car of to me for free. Both have been great cars well presented and well priced, the kind of place I recommend to a friend.

I have just bought an inexpensive Corsa from Joseph James Autos as my sons first car, we opted for a diesel model and I have to say it was both impeccably valeted and professionally presented however I was even more impressed when a few days later my Son rang me to let me know he had had reason to call the dealership when the vehicle would not start one morning. The owner of the company called out within the hour and started the car for him, It turned out that the interior lights had been left on and flattened the battery so in fact there was no fault with the car however the very nice chap from Joseph James was very understanding and did not even make a call out charge. Find me a big garage who would have been so reasonable. I cant recommend Joseph James Autos enough.
AVOID this dealer we rang JJ today to buy a Vauxhall Zafira 09 plate auto of them they sent us the address for the buisness how ever after traveling 78 miles over one hour to these guys today to purchase the car I been looking for a while the dealer was already selling the car to some one else when we got there asked why he is doing this and even though we rang him to say we was on our way and kept him updated through out our journey he said he was getting the asking price of this guy who turned up 3200 as we agreed 3000 on the phone very bad for buisness and didn't,no respect for me or my wife just was really rude as we confronted him and said S HAPPENS upset me and the wife drove back home. AVOID.

Whilst it is unfortunate that on some occasions vehicles do indeed sell prior to a customers viewing we do go to some effort to ensure that no one has a wasted journey. On this occasion as the gentleman who wrote this review was over an hour late for his appointment the next pre-booked test drive had in fact already taken place and the customer had agreed to purchase the vehicle. In this case Im afraid the problem was that the first customer was simply too late, we use an appointment system for good reasons and will not refuse to allow the next test drive to take place for someone who was good enough to be on time. The suggestion that the phrase "S happens" was used is simply ridiculous, I dealt with this personally and would never use such a language in a professional setting. Perhaps of more interest is that the customer who purchased the car in question was too nervous to walk away from his new car to go and get his wife so he could drive it home because of the aggressive approach of the gentleman who had missed his appointment.
Richard from JJ autos didn't lie... But forgot to mention: - vehicle returned to them 'rejected' by buyer - VOSA inspection rendered it UNROADWORTHY - never actually inspected the vehicle themselves So they did the bare minimum to get it 'roadworthy' and felt in their professional opinion it didn't warrant a retest/new mot So I drove it for 1 week/300miles and experienced: - front subframe mounted hand tight (the only remedial work they did...) - air con compresser Siezed. Part of Aux. Belt so car off road until fixed (yes..within 300miles...) - paying for an MOT - paying to remount subframe - paying to fit air con comp. and regas. JJ provided second hand parts but accepted no responsibility for labour. I spent £500 on it and still have: - oil leak - significant corrosion all round. (? Flood victim) - Siezed rear load sensor - rear sub frame corroded with a visible hole! JJ wouldn't accept the vehicle back at any point. Gradually managed to drag out the history behind the last person who bought it from them and how VOSA revoked the MOT. These are all facts that I can back up. DO NOT BUY from Joeseph James Autos.
I recently purchased a Dodge Caliber from Joseph James and everything went really well. The car was really clean and nice and a very good price. This dealership is excellent they were very nice a really helpful and I would highly recommend.

Bought a skoda octavia from this garage and have waited a week before i did a review, I have nothing but praise for this family run firm i was treated exceptionally well from start to finish they gave me a 12 month mot and let me tax it from their office to make sure i was legal to drive. I have now done nearly 800 miles in it in just one week and it has driven beautifully, i would certainly recommend to others and if i want a change of car in the future i will go back.
I made the mistake of buying a car from this dealer, the son is a very charming individual and very convincing ensuring you that the cars are thoroughly checked over and any issues dealt with, from my experience they have no idea what due diligence is , the car I purchased was advertised as having the timing chain and mass fly wheel replaced, the service documents also stated they had, after I found several issues with the car after collecting it, eg Sat Nav not working, Stacking CD player not working, I got suspicious, so I examined the service book and noticed some issues, I found out the timing belt and Mass fly wheel work had not been done and the documents had been modified, I verified this by contacting the garage who's service stamp was in the book, they also wanted to know who had modified their service stamp by writing additional repairs on it that had not been carried out, they also told me who the previous owners were, so I contacted them and spoke to the manager, he also confirmed the work had not been done, I then had to argue for over a week with the dealer, they reluctantly offered to refund me,after I had informed tham that I had contacted trading standards, they stated the work had been done, and they had a receipt for it but had accidentally lost it, however they did not offer an explanation as to why the service stamp had been modified to make it appear that the reputable garage had carried out the work, when they had clearly not done so, let me be clear, I am in no way implying that the dealer had done this, what I am saying is that if you are advertising something as being done then as a dealer they have a duty to check the validity of the documents, it is called due diligence, it took me less than an hour. Other things they do not advertise, if you get a refund despite you having to pay them by direct immediate bank transfer, the company policy is to refund you by cheque, if you argue as did I that I wanted a bank transfer as I need cash back in my account that day as I was going to buy another car, they did give me a bank transfer, however despite giving me the impression it would clear that day, what they had actually done was a bac transfer that took a further 4 days to transfer, this caused me and my friend who is seriously ill with Addison,s disease and MS who had kindly offered to take me to buy a replacement car, as he knew I was in a tight spot, to have a 365 mile round trip to but another car wasted , as the money did not get transferred for another 4 days. AVOID THIS DEALER LIKE THE PLAGUE ! ! ! ! !
