Neil came to my house to purchase a car off me supposedly for his partner. I sold the car in good faith and as I had private plates on the car sent off docs to DVLA to get it re-registered. I have hen sent on new keeper supplement to Neil but he asked for whole v5c saying he could not tax without. Strange but I complied and I assumed he sent on docs to DVLA..but he didn't. His little scam was to keep car in my name until his partner got bored of it and then sell it as a one owner car. Unfortunately she wrote it off and he never sent paperwork to DVLA so now they ar chasing me for unpaid tax and refusing to accept I no longer have the car even though I sold it to Neil. The guy is exactly what gives 2nd hand dealers a bad reputation. I know I shouldn't have sent the full V5c to him but he is the one who has has tried to keep the car without registering it properly and is now refusing to pay the DVLA fine. I would urge anyone to avoid buying or selling anything from his garage and judging by the reviews I'm not the only one to have had a bad experience.

I purchased a 2014 plate Mercedes SLK from Junction 17 Cars Peterborough and had the basic 3 month warranty with the vehicle. I dealt with Ian who sorted out the part exchange and the preparation of the car prior to collection. After 1000 miles the car developed a gearbox fault that felt like something was hitting you from behind when the cat changed gear. I phoned Ian and he instructed me to take the car over for them to look at it. Initially they did a gearbox service toes how that changed things and when it was still the same they took the car to a gearbox specialist to be looked at. They changed several parts and moved different relays about to try and identify the fault before eventually changing the faulty one which was quite expensive to do. In all they had the car on three separate occasions but supplied me with a courtesy car throughout the time the car was in the garage. The car now runs perfect. The total cost of the repair was about £3000 which the garage covered once the excess on the warranty was reached. I would like to thank Ian for the excellent customer service I would highly recommend Junction 17 cars
