I bought a car over the phone from them (JCT9) just short of £30k, I dealt with Jim not David other than odd messages. Jim drove the car 300 miles to me, I'm unsure if I had left them a deposit or not. Anyway the car was as described to the T and I transferred the money from my office with Jim present I had a very little issue which they resolved within days. I sold the car in part exchange and got stuffed from the highest level by a bunch reckoning to be experts they were neither cowboys or indians they were much lower than that. After that I put a deposit on a car at JCT9 and turned out to be the customer from hell. For many reasons I danced forward and backwards on the car and unfortunately didnt proceed. They were very good with me patient etc obviously they wanted the sale but had the situation been reverse I would have asked them to leave many times actually with two words not one. I have been in business over 50 years a lot in a buy/sell environment, I thought I had met every "A" hole in the uk but found I hadn't and that came from the motor trade. Fortunately they guys at JCT9 weren't that, they were good and professional trustworthy people I know one of the partners went through a family trauma and even then they came up spades for me, I have mainly dealt with Jim and if anyone wants to contact me I would be more than happy to relay my great experience. Thanks Martin, this was a good read and we are delighted you were happy with the way things went. We look forward to seeing you next time. Thanks from the whole team at JCT9
Stay on your guard if buying from JCT9 Ltd. On the 3rd of October 2018 i took a test drive of a vehicle prior to flying to Hollywood for a break. The car was flashing a warning light for the pressure warning system in the wheels. David said this along with a cracked windscreen would be fixed prior to my return so I left a deposit for the vehicle. On the 9th October I informed David that I would be back in about a week but they failed to sort out the problems as promised they would. This meant I had to take the car with the faults and drive it back to West Yorkshire over 200 miles away. Over 3 months later the warning light for the wheels was eventually repaired and now other faults have developed. David made so may false promises and excuses about the faults with the TPMS,the boot and parking sensors not working all caused by jet washing. Lies on the purchase document and warranty documents. Please stay clear as they sell cars with problems and then don't wish to fix them. ***UPDATE*** Threatened with Court action over review. After leaving a Review of JCT9 car Dealers in Shepperton they threatened me with court action if it was not removed. This shows the type of car dealers they really and supports everything I had said in my original comment. Please be careful if you think of purchasing a vehicle from them ensure you have everything in writing as I did should just in case anything go wrong. They will deny everything.

Jim from JCT 9 Ltd in response to False Promises and problematic Car
Dear David. Thanks for the review. It is a shame is doesn’t reflect the situation accurately. When given a Month whilst you were on holiday to sort out a minor issue that we had pointed out to you when you drove the car, to then be given a couple of days notice of an early return after less than two weeks made it very difficult to resolve the issue adequately in time for your early collection. When we made you aware of this fact you asked us if we would be kind enough to let you take the car and help you resolve the issue after the event either by bringing back or by us helping you sort it locally as you were flying back to Heathrow just a few miles from us and were travelling back to the North of the country. It is important to point out that it wasn’t a major problem or one that affected your use of the car but a slightly annoying glitch with the tyre pressure monitoring system. We agreed to help you out even though our experience tells us that we should have said no and dealt with the issue before the car was collected even if it meant disappointing a client. The car you bought was the cheapest car on the forecourt and is now Ten Years old and has obviously done a number of miles in that time. If we decide it is good enough to meet our rigorous standards however then the car must be right. It became evident to us soon after you took the car that there was a hidden agenda. When your demands for money to sort the problem were not met you proceeded to inform us that you would only communicate by e mail which made things far harder to facilitate and sort quickly and efficiently. You then proceeded to accuse us of fraud amongst other things. We are aware that there are some people who we cannot satisfy however hard we try so we offered you a full refund which you declined much to our disappointment. We then received further harassment by e mail from you. When you refused to bring it back to us so we could sort the issue as had been agreed prior to letting you take the car to help you out, we arranged a Jaguar specialist locally to you to diagnose and fix the problem at no cost to you. After many attempts to arrange this on e mail, you reluctantly took the car to the specialist and the very minor glitch was resolved at no cost to you. It was at this point after we felt we had done everything and more for someone who was clearly never going to be grateful for our assistance, you proceeded to leave very negative reviews on just about every site available. You then asked your partner Krystyna to do the same which is clearly malicious. This is clearly an attempt to discredit our business because we didn’t give you money. We thank you for your review as it gives us an opportunity to show future customers how committed we are in even the smallest of issues and with the most awkward of customers. I hope genuine car buyer will take the time to read all of our reviews and realise that we are in fact a very decent bunch who bend over backwards for our customers and that you are someone who clearly set out to try and use our kindness as a weakness. Good luck in the future and enjoy your car. All the best from David, Jim and the team at JCT9
Great service, Fantastic car. Very happy with all aspects of my purchase. Highly recommend JCT9 Ltd.
Whilst I see most of the reviews about Jct9 are positive this was not the case in my fathers experience. Two days after my mother passed away my father enquired about a Jaguar this company was selling. It was only a general enquiry as Jct9 were 120 miles away and my father is over 70 and walks with sticks so there was no chance he was going to purchase at this stage as he could not get to view the car. He dealt with a man called David who said he was the boss. Over the coming days he was bombarded with calls from David about the car. The car was forsale at £11,888, and David said if my father bought the car he would sell it for £11,000 as December is traditionally quiet and they could do with moving the car on. My father stated that although he would love the car the timing wasn’t right as we had not had my mother’s funeral and he could not travel to view it. David was confident my father would buy the car so he said under the circumstances he would deliver the car and if my father didn’t like it he was under no obligation to buy. At this point my father caved in and said he would pay a deposit to take the car off sale. David said under the circumstances my father did not have to leave a deposit and a date of delivery was arranged, the day after my mother’s funeral. My father was so excited about the car and could not talk highly enough of David saying he has refused a deposit due to my mother dying. Although as a family we were a bit apprehensive ,the car had taken my fathers mind off losing his soul mate. So my father arranged his insurance cover for the vehicle. The day before the funeral I looked on Jct9 website and noticed the Jaguar was still for sale and the price had increased to £14,888. I called my father to let him know but he said no the car was definitely sold to him and not to worry. But we smelled a rat so I finally persuaded my father to call David who sheepishly admitted he had sold the car for more money . My father was devastated and this was the day before we buried my mother . My father said he would have paid the asking price but Was never given the chance too, and if my father had not contacted David first I doubt he would have had the guts to call him and tell him he had sold it to somebody else, leaving my dad expecting delivery the day after the funeral with his insurance in place. I am not a person who usually leaves reviews but after my Fathers dealings with this company I feel you have to speak how you find. David knew my fathers situation and preyed on that. He built his hopes up and then dashed them the day before my mother’s funeral. He hadn’t even got the guts to call him and tell him. So much for a gentleman and someone who is honest and has morals , and the motortrade wonders why it has the Arthur Daley image. After my fathers dealings with this company I think it’s only fair to let everybody know the kind of people you are dealing with at Jct9 , steer well clear.

Tim. I am sorry you have felt the need to write this review. I must point out a few inaccuracies though. Your Father enquired on the car some weeks ago and was meant to be coming to see it when he was able to do so. He then called and said he was unable to make it to us which was disappointing but under the circumstances we totally understood. As we were very quiet in December we offered the option of bringing it to him for him to see. He was understandably busy with funeral arrangements which we understood. He actually offered to pay a deposit on the car and we explained that we don't take deposits on cars that haven't been viewed due to distance selling rules. Nothing to do with the circumstances. Until it has been driven and the buyer is happy with the car the deposit means nothing so we do not take deposits on any car that hasn't been viewed by the prospective buyer. He was aware that until he had committed to the car after seeing it, the car was still on open sale. We certainly did not bombard him with calls but made a few calls to try and make a plan for us to bring it to him. In fact on one occasion you answered the phone and David asked you if it was OK to speak to your Father about the car given the circumstances and you said that he wanted to be kept updated. We were only calling to confirm that at that time the car was still available and trying to make the plans to bring it up for a viewing. It was a tricky scenario and due to the obviously difficult circumstances your Father found it difficult to commit to a date. We have never met your Father so were unsure whether he had gone off the idea of the car and was looking at others. It is a risky prospect driving all that way at our cost and wouldn't normally offer that service but as I said December was quiet and we had the time to do this. It would have cost us £200 in fuel and wages to do this and there was no guarantee of a deal but enough had been discussed to make it a worthwhile trip. Before your Father was able to free up time for us to come and show him the car, someone else local came in and looked at the car, drove it and made us an offer of exactly the same as your Father had offered. As a business we had to take that offer from someone who had viewed the car and driven it rather than turning that offer away and then driving hundreds of miles to show someone the car at our cost with no guarantee that he would buy it and thus could have ended up with no sale in a very quiet Month. This was not an option from a business point of view. Your Father had never mentioned to us that he had insured the car and at no point had we agreed a deal. We had discussed a price and that we would bring it to him when the dust had settled but that the car was on open sale until he had seen it. When the deposit had been paid by our local man I called your Father and explained that we were sorry for letting him down but hopefully he understood our position and that we hoped he would find an equally nice car sometime soon. I was quite taken aback when he said he felt we had really let him down and was surprised to hear so after we had remained in regular contact throughout and we felt the position was clear. He fully understood the position and we feel the influx of bad reviews on various different sites is unreasonable. I am sorry your father missed out and am sorry that he feels so bitter about it that he has had to leave bad reviews himself and then ask family members to do the same. It is a lesson learned for us that is for sure. We will take our lessons and try to be even clearer in this kind of situation going forward. Send your Father our best regards, I hope he finds a nice car soon. Regards. Jim
FAB U LOUS!! I agree with all the previous reviews about JCT9. They were helpful, considerate, informative and professional and guided me throughout the sale as I am 75 year old woman who had never bought a car on her own. A breath of fresh air, what a lovely bunch of guys I have already recommended them to friends who are looking to buy a car. Thanks David, Jim & Daniel I appreciate all you have done for me and the knowledge that if I have a problem with regard to the car I have only to contact or call in.

hi Dave, Dan and Jim, hope you are all well.i meant to write a review ages ago, but was so busy out driving the beautiful car that I bought from yourselves, we really love it , and don't want to get out of it, the way in which you looked after us was second to none, very professional, friendly and so helpful, we cant recommend JCT9 enough, our car looked stunning exactly as Dave had described. since first talking to Dave, to driving away in our new car, not a problem. it is now 4 months gone, and the car is fantastic in every way, thank you all so much. we live in n.ireland, were picked up at airport and brought to showroom, put up in hotel overnight, and happily drove off next morning. give JCT9 a call before you buy your next car, you will be pleasantly surprised.
