Purchased a Mini Cooper S six months ago in good faith as Kellys Trading had good reviews. I was told the car had a full service history, silly me I didn't check the service book myself and there has been no stamp in there for 5 years. The car was MOT'd by them before I drove away. According to my local garage which I took it to for a service today told me that the car should not have passed the MOT. Multiple issues, most notably the exhaust system was hanging off by a thread, just cost me £700 to be replaced. Oil leak in engine, drive shaft issues, Air Con not working and many other problems. The garage showed me the air filter and spark plugs they removed, said they hadn't been changed in years. In their own words "I have never seen an air filter this bad in my life". This is a real shame as I would have thought that any self respecting dealer would at least service their cars before selling them. This garage are lucky I waited so long before getting it serviced because if it had been within the first 3 months I would have been straight to VOSA and the Ombudsman to report them. Also my step son purchased a VW Polo from them at the same time and has also had multiple issues, including having to wait 3 months for them to fix his door THAT THEY BROKE. All in all a very poor service and I feel totally scammed. I suppose you live and learn. I should have checked the service book and paid the AA to do an inspection.

Same, we brought a mini with a new 12 month mot!! Also needed 3 new tyres, oil leak, new brake disks and pads, power steering pump in total an extra £ 900, just wished I came across these reviews
Car was amazing no issues what so ever great customer service from Kellys.
Great company, I absolutely love my car. Will be returning if I ever want to upgrade. Would definitely recommend Kellys Trading.

On first appearance Kellys Trading and staff appear friendly and helpful, particularly when you do show an interest in a purchase. They take a deposit readily and promise to do all work discussed and agreed upon to complete a sale. However, once purchased the car did not only develop issues but some discussed for repair had not be completed and others re-appeared very soon after and despite the mechanics agreeing to do work and the car being returned several times for repair, problems remain, the waffle continues, and I have a car I do not trust, that I cant sell on and is not road worthy and I certainly do not trust or believe a word any of them say. I get passed back and forth from Dean to Tom and no one is taking responsibility and the refusal to issue any paperwork is beyond comprehension. Kellys Trading are clueless yet assure me they have great customer service. The saga continues.

My experience of Kelly's Trading is exactly the same as yours. After only 26 miles driven, "Automatic Gear Fault" was displayed. To cut a VERY long story short, I was without a car for 5 weeks (no courtesy car offered) whilst a replacement gearbox was - allegedly - sourced and fitted. Much pinging back and forth between Tom and Dean, many promises made and not kept, phone not answered thereby necessitating visits to the garage (not easy without a car). On eventual collection of the car, exactly the same problem reoccurred. What are the chances? Also, the Service book had disappeared and requested paperwork not provided - possibly because there was none? After the first fault displayed I asked for a refund which I was entitled to by law. They refused. Gave them a chance to repair it but this hasn't worked. Am having the gearbox checked out by a professional outfit. Dependent on the outcome, I believe I will have no other choice but to sue. Kelly's does not run its business on an ethical, professional and legal manner: AVOID.
I saw the vehicle on line and contacted tommy at Kellys Trading and he was very good to start with especially when he wanted a deposit . When I paid the deposit it all went down hill no contact from tommy at all was left with a person called dean who hasn’t a clue with cars then when I paid the majority of the amount that’s when even bigger trouble started . Tommy agreed that he would make sure everything on th van worked lol 😂 air con doesn’t work stereo has been bodged handbrake non existent fog light not working and I havnt a clue how it drives because I can’t tax it , when it was delivered as though by magic dean had left the log book behind now they are telling me it will take 4 to six weeks to be here ,I paid £3100 for a van what I can’t drive now they won’t answer me ,don’t be burned like me stay away from these.
Good car, helpful staff, a fair p/x price. Recommend Kellys Trading.
