Do not buy a car from them!!! Bought a car from TM Autos (also known as Kent Motoring World). On the day I bought the car, when driving the car home I had an engine light came on to say that the engine was too hot. I rung them and was told the coolant might be low (despite having just been serviced). I topped up the coolant when I was home. I drove it again later that day and the engine started smoking from the bonnet. I sent them a video and the following morning they called me to ask me to drive the car back (already dangerous in itself). I drove it back and when driving it another light flagged up stating that the speed limiter was not working. I informed TM Autos and they kept the car to fix it. It turned out that the turbo was faulty and needing replacing. This time they were happy to help (probably as I’d had the car under 24 hours) but they did NOT fix the speed limiter issue. The fact that the turbo had not been checked over prior to buying goes to show that the cars TM Autos sell are clearly not inspected properly before selling. TM Autos had my car for 12 days. I was offered a “courtesy car” with trade plates in. This vehicle was untaxed and would have been illegal to drive unless on a test drive (which I would not have been on). I did not take the “courtesy car” so was without a car for this time leaving me stranded with no way home as a young girl who lived 50 miles away, this was rather scary. After receiving the car back, I noticed that the car was vibrating when going round corners and up hills. I was advised by TM Autos mechanic that this would likely be the clutch. Since I was in my 30 days consumer rights period, I decided to reject the car as so far, I’d had issue after issue with it. I discussed this on the phone and also sent an email. For the most part I dealt with Henry who clearly lacks any idea of customer service as he was rather rude and. He would constantly interrupt me, laugh at me and just play down anything I would mention to him as if I was stupid. I was told that the clutch was a “wear and tear” item. Can I be clear, I’d had the car in my possession a total of 1 week and 5 days. This was not MY wear and tear. TM Autos responded to my email stating that they do not accept my rejection. I was within my 30 days and so this is to do. TM Autos then went on to say that they were happy to inspect the vehicle and fix any issues present. I took the car over to their garage for inspection and the mechanic inspected the car. He told me that the clutch had gone and would need replacing however TM Autos would not be paying for this or any other work on the car. So I’d taken my car on a 100 mile round trip for absolutely NO reason as they were never going to be willing to fix any issue. I was quoted £1100 to fix it. Since then, TM Autos have ignored every single one of my calls and have now blocked both my number and my partners. They are absolute and are . They don’t inspect the vehicles they have properly prior to selling and the warranty they apparently offer to every vehicle they sell on their site, is clearly not a warranty at all. I would never trust buying a car from them again.

Not experts so organised an AA report thank goodness. The car was not in bad shape but AA advised us not to buy until a few things were fixed that would have cost about £500. The dealer was not prepared to even service the car for us and was quite rude saying price was fixed as seen. He should have told us this when we told him were were paying £165 for an AA report to be done. So DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM IF YOU ARE NOT AN EXPERT AND DONOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HAVING AN AA REPORT DONE.

Tom McGinty from Kent Motoring World in response to DON’T BUY CAR UNLESS CAR MECHANIC

Thankyou for your review. Any independent inspections are welcome and are at a customers cost. We are very transparent in our sales at Kent Motoring World and yes that is correct we are not going to service a car and pay for an AA inspection unless previously agreed. Yes the vehicle in question was advertised £1000 below the market value and that is why the vehicle was a fixed price. The AA inspector actually said what a great car it was to us so please provide the breakdown of the £500 that was needed to be spent as we were unaware of this. Kind Regards KMW Sales

I was not allowed to have a drive test (due to COVID?) and on my way home I have been hearing unfamiliar noise in the car, which worried me. Clutch pedal was very squeaky and didn’t return back easily, which was dangerous. Also, my husband from another car on motorway saw parts of exhaust shaking and rattling underneath the car. I was very disappointed and worried by the whole experience. On arrival we have checked the tires, and some were overinflated (36 psi) while other underinflated (18 psi) in a not-symmetric pattern. That's how I was driving home on motorway. I tried to inflate tires and found out, that the lighter socket in not working. Is it a way car should be sold from a garage? I also have found out on coming home, that the access on the warranty is 100 pounds, but I was not told about it before the purchase. On the following day 22/09/2020, on my way from work to home an engine warning sigh came up on the dashboard. I decided to carry out a "Safety check" in my local garage, as it was not clear, whether it was safe for me and others to use the car. The list of faults they have found is really impressive and sums up to over £700! I also contacted Kent Motoring World for the advise. Kent Motoring World said that I need to bring the car to their garage. I express to him my concerns about driving on motorway with the engine sigh lit up on the dashboard. The mechanic said that I need to contact the sails office if the car needs towing by a recovery car. It was never done. I was really frustrated because of the whole situation, as it could have been dangerous to drive on motorway with warning sigh on. I work five days a week providing a care to a lady with multiple sclerosis. Even with my lack of mechanical knowledge I concluded that the car has not been checked before the sale! Those issues I was not able to detect on a stationary car! The salesman told me about the six month warranty, which reassured me, that if any problems or issues with the car would occur, KMW will take care of it. That is why I was happy to buy the car without the test drive on the 19/10/2020. However, it was explained that the warranty covers only mechanical faults and any works should be authorised by KMW, which they were reluctant to do. After my complains Kent Motoring World insisting on me bringing the car to the garage to sort thinks out (despite my concerns about my and other people's safety as I had an engine sign lit up on the dashboard). On 29/09/2020 MOT was redone and had advisories for brake pads and a tyre. The fuse for the power/lighter socket, was replaced, but nothing was done about other faults found right after sail. In conclusion I would summarise the following: 1. I would not have bought the car if I would be able to have a drive-test at the fist place, because of the constant noise and squeaky clutch. 2.I would not have bought the car with the advisories on MOT until they were sorted out. 3.The car was not properly checked before sail, which made the first journey dangerous. 4.Customer service was ignoring my letters and plea for help, doing as little as possible. They are not interested in returning customers or positive feedback.

Kendra McLeod-Henderson-Young in response to I am very disappointed with my purchase

Hi there, I had similar experiences with these rogue traders in October 2018. Please take them to Court to rectify the issues. Otherwise they will continue to do this to other unsuspecting consumers. I am saddened to note that 2 years later and they are still trading in such a manner.

Misdescribed car even after telling them I was travelling 2.5 hours each way. Gave incorrect px figure even though they admitted my car was nice condition. Tightened a wheel bearing gon their car rather than replace to scrape it through mot. Car was flat on arrival and admitted its gonna power drain problem but they wont repair it before sale. Avoid at all costs as they will waste your time then try to rip you off with a poorly prepared car that's been rammed through its mot at minimal cost

a week ago Awful service, Kent Motoring World give false promises and misinformation. Terrible from start to finish. DO NOT TRUST OR TAKE THEIR WORD. I placed a £500 deposit on a car which had no malfunctions and seemed to be in good working order. Picked up the car a week later to be told that an engine management light was now on and that I could take the car away on the day and get it looked at and repaired at a local independent garage (dealership would pay), or leave it with the dealership for another week and they would repair it. As the dealership was about an hour and a half away from where I lived I thought best to take it home and get it fixed locally so I dint have to waste another trip. Upon calling the dealership with the problems highlighted by the local garage, Kent motoring world went back on there promise and said they would not pay for it to be repaired as it would be much cheaper for them to do the work themselves. This is understandable but why did they make the promise to pay for the repairs if they knew they would go back on this? I then had to drive the car back to the dealership at the weekend and leave it there for a week for repairs to take place, this left me without a way of getting to work. Also at the time of the deposit being placed, the salesman couldn't tax the vehicle as there was an issue with the logbook and I was told that this would be sorted by the time I picked the car up the following weekend. Over the phone during the week I was told by Kent motoring world that they had spoken with DVLA and that tax was not an issue and that it would be fine for me to drive the car following purchase with no tax in my name. Having waited 7 weeks after collecting the car, I had still not recieved my log book through the post and decided to chase this. They informed me that it must have been lost in the post and they were going to apply for a document to get a new logbook and that this can take 4-6 weeks. I checked this with the DVLA and they informed me that I should not have been driving the car at all, having been misinformed by kent motoring world. I then relayed this information to the dealership to be told 'yeah it probably would have been alright to drive without tax but if its advised that you dont drive it'. This is disgraceful as as I was misinformed into breaking the law. I then had to go 6 weeks without a car as it was not allowed on the road until the new logbook was made by the dvla. This left me having to get taxis to and from work for around 5 and a half weeks until it arrived. Do not trust Kent Motoring World.

Kent Motoring World sell the clapped out trade ins from big motoring world! All the good reviews on their website are fabricated by themselves. This is one very dodgy outfit that trading standards are closing in on. The MOT’s are done by his mate and the vehicles aren’t road worthy. Avoid if you value your hard earned cash and more importantly your safety.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO PURCHASE ANY VEHICLE FROM KENT MOTORING WOLD. WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE LEAVE THIS PAGE NOW - WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP THEY WILL SCAM YOU WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE LEAVE THIS PAGE NOW - WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP THEY WILL SCAM YOU. If I could give zero stars I would, all the complaints on this page are the same, failing to disclose what is really wrong with the car.... Bought a mini about 3 weeks ago that was not serviced, paid over £4,000 for the car and it looked good visibly. 2 weeks later I went ahead to service the car and low and behold the break pads were below the safety level, sorry but if there is anything wrong with the car it should be disclosed as any buyer will want to know what is wrong with the car and it is your responsibility as a car dealership to disclose any issues with the car. The car also started over hearting and I took it to my local garage to have a look at it and they confirmed to me that the water pump needs replacing ASAP and that I will not be able to drive the car until this is fixed. You people think your smart claiming I have warranty on the car but It doesn’t even cover the water pump, talking nonsense about wear and tear. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INSURE THAT EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR IS DISCLOSED, FULL TRANSPARENCY( I’m sure you guys don’t know what that is). I signed a contract and purchased the car on the basis that it was in GOOD working condition but it was a lie , I’m sure you guys knew what was wrong and covered it up, I went for a one minute test drive and I’m sorry but that will not prove that the water pump was gone or that the break pads were below safety limit. I am completely appalled at the customers service and attitude from so called manager “HENRY” disgusting attitude, continuously kept talking over me, talking to me as if I have no knowledge of cars, completely disgusting human being. You think your smart trying to argue with me on the phone. They have refused to pay for the fixtures of the water pump, on top of that they were not even sympathetic or apologetic about the matter, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE EVERYTHING. You have caused me financial loss and trauma and for this reason I will be taking the matter further and filing a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman and if not resolved will go ahead and file this matter in the small claims court. And because of you poor, rude and appalling service I will unfailing be posting my terrible experience with this company every week to warn innocent buyers out there that they should not be doing business with your company.

Kent Motoring World (KMW) is a side company to The Big Motoring World (TBMW). KMW sells off all the part exchanges that TBMW receives for selling their better spec cars. So don't be supprised when the cars KMW are selling are a low quality. KMW DO NOT inspect or rectify problems with these PX cars they sell. Advice ....stay clear!
