Bought a car that developed a serious gearbox fault 6 days later- tried to reject the car under my consumer rights but the dealer refuses to believe that such rights exist-he demanded that I return the car at my cost (it was un driveable) so he could fix it "on the cheap". This I declined and the car has now cost me over £1k in repairs and is still not fixed. When I first complained the dealer replied "well - welcome to the world of land rover ownership" AVOID.

We asked you to bring the 2004 Range Rover v8 petrol back to us so that we could look at getting it fixed for you but you refused to bring it back to us You didn't want to return the car as you said you loved it and you said 'it was like learning to drive again' you even offered to pay half towards the repair but you demanded i have the car collected or give you authorisation to drive it we strongly advised you not to drive the car as it could cause more damage The law states that you have to bring the car back to us at your expense we asked you to bring the car back but you refused to, We have no objection about getting a poor review, we just wish it was honest, fair and left by someone that used their real name CHRIS JOHN is not the name you gave us to put on the invoice when you purchased the car **We have been here for over 40 years and have many happy customers when a customer calls us with a problem we kindly ask them to bring the vehicle back and we can look at getting it fixed if the customer refuses to bring the vehicle back then this makes it very difficult to look at fixing said vehicle**
