AVOID TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!! Initial deposit of £1k placed on 12th June, promised our car would be ready by the end of the following week which was then extended for the agreed work to be completed on the car before collection. I was assured that the work had been done and the car was ready to collect. After handing over the remaining balance of over £5000 I arrived to find the work had NOT been done as instructed by the sales rep who later left the business just days later. I had been lied to and over £6000 effectively stolen at this point. When queried Darren offered my money back which I accepted, brand manager Peter then removed this offer as the terrible attempts at rushing the work weeks down the line were failed, I collected the car on 9th July almost a month later with poor work still outstanding. I have since had an issue with the brake making a noise which has been refused by Automart despite being under warranty. I have had to do all the chasing, Automart Lancaster have been utterly dreadful. Avoid these cowboys. After finding a grinding issue on the left passenger side this was admitted to VW for repair, they couldn’t find the issue and offered to strip the dash to find it. Darren and Automart rejected this despite being under warranty for the issue as it took 6 hours, basically because it cost too much. Avoid buying any sort of warranty as no doubt they’ll try any way they can to get out of it. I opted to swap the half service and MOT offered for this entire shambles for £125 to take this elsewhere as they were that bad I just wanted to part ways. I cannot stress this enough this branch is that genuinely that poorly organised I had to initiate all communication and chase up several times despite the office being manned all day. I could honestly go on all day as there have been several issues from start to finish. Images attached of botched paint work Automart tried to rush through in just three hours over a week later than planned, basically attempted to fob me off. Images also attached of two issues that should’ve been corrected before pick up over a month earlier than when I finally got the car back. AVOID TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Hi Joel, we are sorry that the standard of your vehicle were not to your expectation when you first collected the car, both our Sales Manager and Brand Manager walked around your vehicle after the remedial work was done to ensure it met motor trade standards for a 6 year old vehicle, we were pleased when you came back, inspected and accepted the car and were happy to reset your warranty, we felt sure that you were satisfied at the time so feel disappointed with your review. After coming on here to leave a good review, I'm very surprised to see the negative reviews below. My experience has been quite the contrary. I enquired about a car as it had just popped up without any pictures, I was sent a detailed video over within minutes by a very helpful salesman named Joe, and before the day was out I'd left a deposit on my new car. Everything from there was great, communication and collection all exceeding expectations, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the gentlemen down at Lancaster Automart to my family and friends.

Promised collection of our Audi on Six separate occasions. Repeatedly lied too, ignored and left to sit in a car park for two hours being repeatedly told our car was on its way when it wasn’t. Not only have you wasted our time you also wasted two hours of Direct Tint in Lancaster’s time, unpaid, for a job he came in to do especially over the Christmas period and the gentlemen was too polite to say anything because your business means so much to him - shame on you! We were then allowed to pay to tax, and drive away in a car which kept loosing power after being told it it was late because it was being road tested less than an hour before. How dishonest?! We are now left out of pocket and have lost all trust in Lancaster Automart.

AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS! I just bought a £20k Audi S5 from Lancaster Automart only for it to do 18 miles before losing oil pressure and starving the engine of oil... the cause... non-genuine parts used during Automart's "thorough vehicle preparation" causing £5k of damage which wasn't covered by the £300 warranty I was sold. They refused to have the work completed by a local dealer so I was forced to threaten them with Court action under Consumer Rights Act to return the vehicle. Their Sales Manager Peter even accused Audi of lying about the work required. TERRIBLE AFTERCARE DON'T BE CAUGHT OUT TOO
