Just wanted to say thanks ... I really appreciate the help ... Especially picking me up from the train station .. After having my car written off and not being able to travel easily with the kids... All your help was invaluable .. And the car has since been terrific !!!
I purchased a Vauxhall Corsa last week. I am very happy with the car and the price was fantastic. The service I received was outstanding and I would highly recommend this dealer. Will definitely use again now I have found a dealer I can trust.
I traded my Ford Fiesta for a Honda Jazz. I would like to say that I am extremely pleased with my Honda. I was very happy with the price of the car and also the service I received.
Bought a car last week from lane autos and have to say really happy with it, not only was it a great price but overall the car is great and the service I got was outstanding, I asked a lot of questions and got given the correct answers felt no pressure to buy the car which made a big difference compared to other places we have been to. Will buy again highly recommended.
I live in London and saw a vauxhall corsa on lane autos website... As the vehicle was significantly cheaper than any other I could find ... I rang to enquire... With the distance I was going to travel I required an honest and reliable description if I was going to leave a deposit to secure the car!!! Thankfully after speaking and discussing this I was happy to do so... My daughter was very happy.. The car has been fantastic and I would very much recommend this dealer....
im only writing this to warn other drivers who are as unknowledgeable about cars as I am. I looked at his cars on autotrader and he was a dealer with what looked like good prices on his cars for sale. I wanted to view a vw beetle. the description looked great as did the pics. I was more trustworthy as he was a car dealer. I travelled nearly 100 miles to see the car. I had a lift from my mum and had my two young children with me. I arrived and looked at the car. I went for a test drive and asked if there was anything wrong with the car. he informed me that the manifold was noisy.. I didn't know what a manifold was to be honest. he said it was a small job and didn't even need doing but if I had it done it would make the engine quieter. I emphasised that I needed a safe car as I have young children. he was extremely convincing and told me this was a great reliable car and had a sweet engine and I would have no trouble with it. I really believed him as did my mother. driving home there was road works for a lot of the way so the speed was 40mph. when arriving on the motorway it started raining heavily and was really windy. I felt the steering pull strongly to the left if I tried to go over 40mph. I had a pile of traffic behind me but couldn't go over the 40mph I was doing as the steering was pulling so much. I felt the car missing on the engine but to be honest I kept thinking excuses for it as the seller was so convincing. I couldn't hear the engine sound as the wind and rain was quite bad. I finally arrived home around five hours later. It was 1am so I put the children to bed and asked my husband to come look at the car. I started it up and it started spluttering and missing. my husband told me to open the bonnet. he done 3 things, and said it was the head gasket. I looked online to see prices for a repair and it was over £1000. I realized I had been conned. it was late so I texted the seller and said the head gasket had gone. he texted the next morning and said am I sure. my husbands mechanic friend came to look at the car and said the head gasket had gone. the diagnosis for this was seconds.. the dealer would have known this. I phoned the dealer and he was telling me it was the manifold. he was argumentative and I couldn't get him to listen so I asked him to speak to my husband. eventually the dealer said to me that my husband doesn't know what he is talking about and he will send me £150 towards repair costs. I said that the car is dangerous, the steering is dangerous. he then told me to drive it back and he will fix it. i repeated again how dangerous it was and he told me to join the AA. eventually he said i can have a refund but i would have to take the car to him. i had to hire a tow truck. when the tow truck arrived he tried to start the car to put it on the trailer and it was a struggle. luckily enough he was a mechanic. he started the car after a few minutes and told me the head gasket had gone. i explained to him what happened and that the seller wanted me to drive it back and he said the car would have broke down on the way. i arrived at the sellers and he came to the car and the tow truck driver told him the head gasket had gone, the seller didn't argue with the tow truck driver as he did with me, wonder why.. could it be that the tow truck driver was a man ,, not a woman,,, any way i did get a refund.. less £20.. the seller risked my kids safety and my own for just over £1000. i lost over £500 to view and return this car as well as half a tank of petrol still left in the faulty beetle. he would not help with the cost of returning the faulty dangerous car to him. a warning to all people out there. just because its a dealer it doesn't mean they follow the rules. never judge a person by your own standards as this seller was convincing and believable.

I totally agree with this review. The salesman at LANE Auto's Bolton has total disregard to your consumer rights. He sold an opel astra recently claiming the vehicle had a full 12 months mot, and he gave the mot certificate with the bill of sale. The car should not have passed the mot because the exhaust was blowing so badly, it wouldn't have passed the emissions test, and 2 tyres had the chords protruding through the tread. when I contacted him to discuss this issue, and pointed out that we wished to keep the vehicle, we just wanted him to reimburse the cost's of the repairs, which he should have done under the consumer rights act. If the vehicle was not as described or was sold with misrepresented information, then the buyer can return the vehicle within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. When I requested to be reimbursed for the cost of the repairs, he put the phone down on me. Once this company has taken your money, you or the vehicle they have sold to you is of no interest to them what so ever. Be warned, this company are defininitely not to be trusted. Buy from them at your peril

Hi .. I'd like to mention that when the vehicle was checked again .. I was proven correct that the head gasket was fine , it was quickly sold on to the next customer who was very happy and I've never heard any problem since ... This was obvious in the first place as it had driven you the 180 miles home ..!! This would be impossible with a damaged head gasket ... You had mentioned at the time of sale that you had fallen out with every car dealer in the past and you have rotten luck , also that you was very nervous as your husband will never be happy and guaranteed to find fault !!! I can see now why !! Your husband also said to me on the phone to just give you the money or you would \ make life hell \" when I was waiting for you with your full refund ( which you counted thoroughly twice ) to later ask me for an extra £20 when you got home ??? .. What would be the point in arguing the case at this time with the delivery driver !! Perhaps you rather I would have and sent you back again !! This would be in keeping with the mentality you've shown !"
