My son bought a car from LANGDON HILLS MOTOR COMPANY as he wanted the security of buying from a trader and have a warranty. After a week of having the car the internal heater stopped working which they said they had fixed prior to delivering the car. On speaking to “Dave” the proprietor he told us to take the car to a garage and get the works done and then contact the warranty wise people no offer to put the faul right by their own garage at this time. We did this, using a garage that I have used for years, my mechanic contacted my son and told him that other works needed to be carried out as the heater had burnt out and melted the sensor which meant the car wouldn’t start totalling £415 he contacted the warranty company to be told that they wouldn’t cover the cost of works that needed to be carried out. Went back to LH motors explained the situation and said we weren’t satisfied and wanted our money back on the return of the car. We then got told that the company had ceased trading and we were speaking to the man from the Esso petrol station (even though we used the same phone number as before) he was just there to deal with all the complaints. (On later inspection, cars are still in the garage and people are still visiting the motor company.) we said that this wasn’t our problem and that the company being active was still liable for the costs. He laughed and said good luck and hung up. My son now has a car that’s unreliable and is going to incur more cost. COMPANIES LIE THIS SHOULD LEARN THE TRADING LAWS AND STOP SELLING SCRAP CARS

First i never laught on phone but your husband was shounting and screming so he was thinking i was laughing, second , i told you im new owner is nothing to do with me but im gonna come get your car fix it and bring it back to you your husband told me he need to speak to his wife and get back to us, so we say we come pick up your car fix it from our pocket and bring it back to you but he told me why the garage im using they are good guys i told him in not saying nothing bad about them but ive got my own garage after he say he need to ask his wife and ill get back to you he never got back to us jus with a long sms from legal advice which i offer him my help but he refused me, when we first spoke on the phone and txt you told us is 415 to fix it after u came back with 500£ which is something funny once 415£ after 500£. In my conversation and im my sms was only help and good behaviour but from you nothing same just swearing and shouting. He start offending me and shouting on me and threating me because he has a barister friend. This is your husband sms on whats app to me. What about the email?1) The text was sent on the same number as I have just spoken to you on. Its not a problem we will sort this out in court. Happy to take it down this line as I have a Barrister friend. 2) It has cost us at least £500 so far 3)Okay sorry £415 I was generalising.
I believe the reviews clearly written by staff/owners. Avoid Langdon Hills Motor Company at all costs. Bought car Items agreed to be fixed prior to collection. We’re not. Car conked out on way home from collecting. And windscreen wiper fell off. Along with rear light cluster. Yes LH motor company It ya. They collected car to replace radiator, light cluster , fix electric mirrors , replace lcd display, Had car for 7 !!!!!! Weeks. And nothing was done. Verified by AA vehicle check. Car came back after persistent complaining by us after a shed load of excuses minus £60 worth of petrol on top of insult of none of work being done aswell as smelling of cigarettes. Ash everywhere and fast food remnants between seats. Clearly had been used for god knows what over the Christmas period. Latest development/excuse. Owner claims to have been sacked from his own company You couldn’t make it up. Luckily. For us. We are lawyers. And are currently suing. Yes. That’s right. So good luck with all that. Genuine review of a truly appalling company. Seriously. Unless you want to be ripped off. AVOID

Hi in response to your review of Langdon Hills Motors. Absolutely totally agree with you they are untrustworthy “sales people” and after reading the reviews of others I am so surprised they are still being allowed to trade. My son had some money left to him by his nan and had been waiting to find a car in his price range, he wanted to use a dealer to ensure that he got a good service and reliability, he found at LH motors. Spent most of his money on the car, with “Dave” ensuring us that all the issues would be sorted, car would be serviced and it would be cleaned ready for delivery. We received the car and all seemed ok drove it for a week and then the internal heater stopped working. Phoned LH and was told to go to a garage get the work done and then claim back from the warranty. Yep you guessed it warranty not worth the paper it’s written on. Went back to garage only to be told that the car needed £415+ works done (reputable garage used it for years) phoned LH only to be told that they had gone out of business and the person we were speaking to had just taken over, even though the phone number we used was the original number of “Dave”. We have now been told by our garage that there could be potentially more work needed. Contacted LH again and the person laughed when we said we wanted a refund of monies as we weren’t happy with the car and said good luck because that wasn’t going to happen. My son who is only 18 has now got a car that is slow and unresponsive and has used all of his name money and we now don’t know what to do.
Langdon Hills Motor Company seem very nice people and have the gift of the gap but not always honest. Said they would fix air conditioner. packed up after couple of weeks. heater didnt work. need new clutch. got 2 year warranty but not worth the paper its written on. had trouble with cd player. said they would sort it and call back. never did
Wow! Bought a car from Langdon Hills Motor Company within 2 hours of applying, got a 24 month warranty included and payments only £179 per month, thanks Dave, so so helpful

The price for my BMW 325 was brilliant, especially considering the low mileage and general condition on the car. I have had it since September last year and up to now I have had no issues with it at all. Langdon Hills Motor Company were really helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend this dealership.
