I booked my elderly mothers Honda Jazz in for a 'Basic Minor Service and MOT' . I explained to the service dept that the car was originally purchased from them in 2008 and had been serviced by other Honda dealers and independant garages in the interim. The car has only covered 7000 miles from new and only 200 miles in the last year and is in perfect working order. The service dept quoted me a fixed price of £ 120 for the service , plus oil etc and £ 55 for MOT which I accepted , they further added that they have many customers who do only limited mileage so this minor service was not a problem, The day before the service was due the service dept called my elderly mother ( although I had made the booking in person and they had my cell number ) to advise that looking at the work they 'needed' to do the price of the basic service agreed had now increased to £760 ! . Needless to say my mother was upset , So I called the service dept and spoke to the same individual with whom I had made the booking pointing out our conversation and the fact that she had quoted £ 120 etc . She denied this point blank and stated that there was no way this price would have been quoted . This was a shameless attempt to exploit and elderly lady for financial gain, a mugging by any other name. AVOID these bunch of clowns at all cost !

Ewell Honda technicians extremely poor and do not take care of the cars in their workshop. Bought a second hand car from them. Windscreen had a large scuff in it which they claimed wasn't there when I collected the car. Previously, the wing mirror had been smashed in the workshop - how could this have happened I wonder! The car also came with a nasty smell that I haven't been able to get rid of. Now I find they have failed to provide a key for the wheel nuts. Some of the problems were sorted after letters to the M.D.@s of both Thames Honda and Honda Cars UK. Leatherhead Honda slightly better than Ewell

Complete lack of acknowledgement of me as a loyal Honda customer. Complaint now with Honda UK. Wont be going back there.It seems bad from the top down.
Incompetent reception staff. Incompetent technicians, for coaxing me into spending money that I did not need to. Repeated insults to me by lying and attempting to fob me off. Actively (and childishly) attempting to stop me escalating my complaint by refusing to give me the details of anyone further up the chain. A complete disregard of interest and no attempt to investigate why I have been given the wrong information about something as important as the failing brakes on my car.
