Purchased a car from Parkway Volkwagen in Leicester in July, it was fully checked (so they claim) before collection. However on pick up there were stains on seat and a dead fly in the light and within a day a very noisy back wiper was apparent. We had a dash cam fitted elsewhere which sadly caused an issue with the lights, so we took it back to them to have all the above issues addressed at same time. A week after collection I get a report from their staff member (whose opening line on his video is he has 8 years experience) saying we have an amber alert on a wheel that is low on tread and a rear wiper would be at a cost to us having only owned it 5 days. When I called to ask how we had an amber alert already, they changed their mind and said someone had now double checked the tyre and if was safe. So was employee X out to make more money for you not realising how long we’d had it or are your “experienced” staff not to be trusted? Either way, we’ve been fobbed off with excuses as to why they think it’s ok and won’t even replace the bloody wiper blade without charging us which is a joke. Henry is great to sell but quick to backtrack. Absolute joke

I recently purchased a fantastic 66 pate VW Tiguan from Parkway Volkswagon Leicester from Jack who deserves nothing less than 5 stars. He honestly couldn't do enough for us from the first day of meeting us. The car was excellently presented, all info was readily available and Jack answered any questions we had brilliantly. ...of a standard service and loss of my service history book I have signed up to Trust Pilot just to spread as much as I can about this shambolic company. I want to give Parkway VW in Leicester negative stars! Honestly, just stay away and complain as much as you can to the Motor Ombudsman and the Courts if you have been messed up like I have! My personal experience was with parkway Volkswagen Leicester - but cannot imagine it is different for the other garages. I booked a standard service for my car with them in Aug 2017, they forgot to put the oil pan drain bolt in the car to keep the oil in! Imagine the incompetence. The (then one year old) Turbo (that they fitted!) soon gives out when I am driving on the Motorway at 70mph after a few crackles, take it to them to fix, they admit they messed up, replace the Turbo, then I have my engine lights come on a couple of months later, went in as they said if you have any further issues come in and we will check for you, no answer (and the rep who told me to come back is nowhere to be seen). Flat out refused to help, raised it with the Ombudsman who issued a report stating the Turbo failure was due to their fault, and they still flat out refuse it is their fault and blame everything on the car being old (a 2009 Passat which was properly serviced before then but I cannot prove as they also lost my servicing book). Their customer relations manager (Ashley Palmer) refused to acknowledge anything after their own representative admitted to me on the phone that they have messed up with the oil pan drain bolt. Their main point in the Court Defence (yes they hired solicitors to defend this and are intimidating me with several thousand pounds of costs) is that the failure to put the oil pan drain bolt in the car has had 0 impact on the rest of the car including the Turbo (yes they claimed a new Turbo they fitted a year prior had been faulty - with no proof even during their own checks of the car!). Stay away, spread as much as you can so people do not get conned by them! I am going to every site possible to spread this news so customers stay away from them! If you have been conned by them, go to Companies house website and get details of their Director Sean Booth so you can contact him and complain! They seem to be doing this to a lot of people and think they can intimidate their customers and get away with it! Do not stand down!

Beware of this company. Parkway Volkwagen Leicester not a good advert for VW. Beware of this company.They do not take responsibility for any mistakes that their staff make. They do not communicate or take ownership of problems caused wholly and totally due to their staff errors. Senior management do not communicate or return calls / e mails and are indifferent to offering any resolve to problems. 5 months later i had to solve problems caused by VW Parkway at my own time and cost. This is not acceptable & not in line with industry codes. Please exercise caution when dealing with them or avoid them. I have removed them from my 3 fleets approved vehicles due to this extremely poor experience.
