I arrived for a test drive and the car broke down as they hadn't put fuel in the car. They promised to call to re-arrange and didn't bother until I called. I liked the car and there were some faults that needed to be rectified. I was promised by James and Mike that they would be fixed prior to delivery. They weren't and the car was handed over with faults. I then had an ongoing battle whilst I was treated like I was stupid by being told that these faults were normal. They weren't and after weeks of battling and my car being in for repair for nearly a week, the car was finally fixed. No apologies for being messed around and a complete lack of customer service. I was left feeling like I had annoyed the dealership and that I was simply an inconvenience that no longer mattered as they had my money. I never received a sales invoice for the car, only the finance documentation. I am trying to buy a warranty for the car but can't do so without a sales invoice showing that I bought the car and that a sales service was carried out. I have called and emailed and nobody replies to requests! As for the service, I was told that it was carried out but the engine oil light came on a few days after the car was handed over to me. I was told that cars use oil and that they had topped it up but that the car must be "one of those cars that use loads of oil". I topped it up 5 months ago and the light hasn't come on since! All in, a terrible experience and one I would not want to repeat. Please send me my sales invoice confirming that a service was carried out so that I can keep my car maintained! P.S. I should also add that they had also fitted a new number plate to the car but with the wrong registration on. If it had not been for my keen eye, i'd have been driving around breaking the law!!
Came in to Southport Honda to have air bags replaced, went out with a new CRV car with the assistance of Mike who took us for a test drive and demonstration very pleased with the professional and friendly service we received, Would recommend Southport Honda to all,
Viewed a car that was presented dirty, with trim hanging off it, interior was filthy. But it drove well enough. After agreeing to fix a list of issues and colour code some exterior trim I left a deposit and was told the car would be ready in a week. 3 weeks later the car was still not ready, promises of calls to keep me up to date never occurred, when the car was finally "ready" it hadn't even been vacuumed. After requesting emails rather than phone calls so I could keep a logged record I never got any replies. Took the car to Manchester Honda and the service has been superb. Always kept me up to date, picked the car up and dropped it off after a repair Southport Honda hadn't even identified. I would never go back to Southport Honda and suggest you don't either.
Southport Honda is a new and used car dealership that is based in Southport. In November 2014 the Cox Motor Group purchased this dealership from Lighcliffe who had previously been operating from thesr premises for the past 4 years. This dealership is situated on the Southport Road and offers the typical main dealer services such as finance, part exhanges, motability, servicing and MOT's.
