Really quite astounded at how unproffesional this organisation is. They couldn't arrange a viewing for a vehicle after four attempts to book a date, thats fine, they don't work weekends, and yes maybe you forgot about the specific day that we agreed on. Thats not the worst part.... The worst bit is that I left an unfavourable review, which was a fair and accurate representation of my experience. Then Mr. Paul Denton decided to embark an a crusade of abuse and harrasment, telephoning me and screaming and shouting down the line about how awful I am. The man is clearly unbalanced. Abuse and threats are not acceptable at any time, under any circumstance. I would seriously recommend avoiding this dealer if at all possible. I have recorded some of his antics and if it continues I will have to get the police involved.

I am sorry that you felt so frustrated that you left us a 1 star review, however if you were able to follow simple instructions on viewing a vehicle you would not have wasted your time and more importantly my time. We do actually work weekends however the vehicle that you wanted to view when you called at 1.30pm on Saturday 17th was locked away in our workshop and we were unable to gain access. We explained that if you provide a bit of notice we would be happy to accommodate, you then called at 15.20 on Thursday 22nd requesting to view that afternoon, we explained that we were in Bristol delivering a customers new vehicle and we’re not available. At this point we offered you a Friday appointment or anytime over the forthcoming weekend, you agreed to call us on Friday morning to confirm. You actually called at 15.06 stating you were just about to leave your address to come and view our vehicle. This was not convenient as we were dealing with other customers, had you have called on the morning as agreed we would have been happy to show you the vehicle. As for me shouting and screaming down the phone you are absolutely in libellous territory here, I can assure you and anyone else that I do not shout or scream at anyone or anything. In your review you gave us 1 star for our knowledge, vehicle cleanliness and value for money, firstly we as a company are very knowledgeable about the product we sell, our vehicles are cleaned to perfection and we offer tremendous value, you of course would not know these things as you failed to follow the simplest of instructions we have in place to allow people to view vehicles in a safe and secure manner. Good luck in you search for a new vehicle, I am sure that other people will see through your attack on our company and attempts to discredit us with one sided information
Bought a used Peugeot rcz on January 7/2019. Egine light came on after 2weeks and noticeable noise on start up from the timing chain. Had it at Autobahn (Hexham twice) , and all they did was clear the codes. I went to Peugeot Durham who confirmed it was the timing chain. Still waiting for this to be fixed as Lonsdale won't pay Peugeot labour rates. I'm going to seek legal advice to get him to pay for this work under the 2015 sale of goods act. My advice is don't buy a car from Lonsdale Motor co ... trust me , I'm a motor mechanic by trade.

I'm glad I've read the reviews on here after seeing an Audi TT for sale. His knowledge about that car were wrong. I asked if the belt and water pump had been changed at roughly 70,000 miles as Audi states it should be and members on the forums. His reply was that they don't need replaced until 115,000 miles. Way out. Plus he didn't actually answer my question. Car in question has round about 79,000 miles on clock. I felt like he skirted around the questions and couldn't be bothered with himself! I don't know how Auto Trader put up 5 star reviews and not these ones. Obviously hand picked reviews or "friend" reviews go on there. Looks like he sells cars from home and not an actual business as such. Think I'll stay clear. :)
Bought a bmw from lonsdale motor company with full service history only 60000 on the clock only had it 3 weeks. done 200 miles car broke down was told a major engine failure got a repair bill of 4100 pounds contacted Paul to be told he will only cover 10 percent of the purchase price of the car so he paid me 700 thanks very much. The bmw garage that repaired it said it's most likely ha knew of the problem as it had through fault codes just before I purchased it please avoid

Same thing happening to me , bought a Peugeot rcz, with full service history, but egine management light came on again and again after 2 weeks of owning , took it to his garage and all they did was delete the codes . Turns out the Timing chain needs replacing, I'm going to seek legal advice to get him to pay for the repair work , under the 2015 sale of goods act . I won't be sold a lemon and fobbed off .
Have had my cars supplied by Lonsdale Motor Company over many years and wouldn’t think of going elsewhere. Cars supplied are first class, with fantastic attention to detail, amazing to deal with and sorts everything to do with number transfers, delivery etc. Brilliant, friendly, goes above and beyond, and always fair. I bought a VW Scirocco from Lonsdale motors and within three weeks (750 miles) it was off the road with the diagnosis that it needed a new engine. The owner Paul didn't want to know when I requested a refund and he offered no courtesy car or support. In the end I went through my credit card provider to claim back my cash. Had an elite inspector come and do a full diagnostic on the car where he confirmed the damage was done previous to me receiving it and that it had been neglected on oil levels resulting in piston scoring. The car was his daughters for the previous two years so he clearly knew there was an issue with the car and wanted to 'move it on' via his business. Buy with caution as if the car has any issues you will receive no support from Paul the owner.

Ross Kerr in response to Sold me a faulty car
I agree with what your response is, garages like this are only after your money and have no intentions of helping you out with the repairs. What you find is that they sweet talk you into buying 1 of there vehicles and the faults are already there, although you may not be a motor mechanic but they just do dodgy dealings. Best to stay clear.
Jp in response to Sold me a faulty car
I've been looking at a Honda crv from here , but I now think I'll give it a miss, this man is obviously a dodgy dealer, car dealers are only as good as their after sales service, and to knowingly sell you a car with a faulty engine is bad, people need to take note of these reviews and not deal with theses garages, yes some may have bought cars that were OK, but it's the odd bad one that shows them up, any good garage should refund in these situations and be prepared to lose on an occasional sale, in a situation such as this the dealer could get their money back by then sending the car to auction
Lonsdale Motor Company were champion, the salesman was a good lad to deal with, they kept me informed all the way through, I definitely recommend them and would buy from them again.
