Car iI bought from Lookers Mercedes in Ashford was in for many faults in its 2 year life, worst one being a dangerous gearbox fault, that was in the garage for 2 months. got it back, broke down the next day. back in for another month had a manner of other component replacements. Had an audi hire car the whole time. I rejected my car once they claimed to have fixed it this time, as for higher grievances with Mercedes customer services. They cancel my hire, then tell me my car needs a safety recall! And my glovebox still creaks after telling them it needs sorting the 5 times its been in. Will not deal with this garage or Mercedes again after this ordeal. Which is still ongoing. Should of stuck with my trusty Alfa Romeo.

I will never go to Lookers Ashford again. I asked for the major service on my smart car and to fix a misfire after breaking down on the motorway. They said no misfire showed up and they don't take the plugs out on a major service but they wanted to replace the two brake cylinders front and rear, this was done. I paid five hundred pounds. they did not know how many plugs a smart car has, they said three, when in fact its six I broke down a mile away from Lookers called the AA again, he said its plugs. All repaired at my local garage, they put in six plugs, That's Six Lookers, Six OK.

I would not have your vehicle serviced here. Their regular servicing failed to detect that the hand brake was not fully disengaging, enough to switch off the warning light but not enough to save a thousand pounds worth of new discs, pads, cable etc. only detected at the MOT. They tell me that they do not look at that at a service. Now my brakes have failed due to a corroded brake pipe. It was not part of the work done and brake pipes are not looked at in a service nor MOT because they run under the wheel arch and get dirty (their exact words). So what is a service and how do we know the car is actually safe because Lookers do not see it as part of their remit!
