BMW Lookers Stoke. A bad deal and worse for me... I will never buy an "approved used" bmw again. This near £16k purchase from bmw lookers stoke has been a shambles from the start for a simple low mileage 5 series (52k miles upon purchase) with issues noticed immediately, I was informed I could not return the car under lemon law, I should have stood my ground, bmw lookers told me they would get the car fixed but they could not and instead I have had 9 months of hell. -Upon collection wrong number plate had been fitted and removed with a screwdriver leaving witness marks on the front bumper. I let this go. Photos available. -car was peppered with mechanical and electrical faults, "approved used?!" Only 50% of the issues where covered by the useless 3 month warranty. Over £2k in repairs bills and bmw would only cover half. Lookers stoke couldn't offer me a courtesy car (this is within the 3 month warranty), so they offered to pay for a taxi, then withdrew thier offer because I lived 1 hour away with the sales manager (i wont mention names on here) stating it would cost them too much. In the end I had to sort it out myself and send it to a local bmw independent. Both rear airbags, airbag pump, had to be replaced, dab radio, aerial and electrical issues due to water ingress at the shark fin. Front right hub had previous owner accident damage causing brake discs to need replacing 3 times until it could be determined that the hub was bent and subsequently replaced. I should have just given the car back straight away. £2k in repairs later the car will going up for sale. Never again will a bm trouble me. -2 warranty recalls in the first 6 months of ownership, egr and airbag, with no financial compensation offered other than a £150 bmw voucher (enough to buy 5 litres of bmw oil?!). Awful customer service, most of them arrogant and unhelpful after the sale. Just buy from a good private seller. Main dealers are not worth the premium. Next car will be japanese. Bmws are too complicated and the customer support is useless/energy draining in my experience. Learn from my story and be wiser than me.
