I had my Range Rover Velar recovered to Taggarts Glasgow North after the key seemingly failed. 2 days to fix they quoted, and a staggering £997. Called after 2 days to arrange to collect my vehicle as promised to be told “we do t even know what the car is here for”. Car had a steering lock on the wheel, the keys for which were inside the car. On four different occasions I told them this, each time they told me they weren’t aware. My children were subjected to 6 minutes of profanity-filled chat from their workshop. Rather than apologise, the workshop manager told me I was lying. One day, I was told that the car was ‘on skates’ and the master technician was, at that point in time, working on it. Each of the following three days I was told that the car had not yet been put on skates, and that it was a priority for the next day. I was told on one occasion that my car would be ready for collection the following lunchtime and that they’d call me. When I called late afternoon to confirm before arriving to collect my car, mysteriously everyone who could tell me anything about my car was unavailable, and failed to call me back. I requested to speak to the GM, Steven Richardson, 3 times to attempt to have the matter resolved. He ignored me on each attempt, even when I attended the showroom with my daughter. I tweeted Taggarts Land Rover asking for a senior manager from the Group to step in. Volvo tweeted me back to say they’d passed this on. No-one followed it up. I paid £997 in advance, at their insistence, and yet 5 weeks later, they want me to pay a further £1800 - all to recode some keys! It would be uncouth to air my dirty laundry, but suffice to say Taggarts have caused me considerable financial costs, hardship, worry and distress. This company’s incompetence, dishonesty and complete absence of any sort of values shines through. I’ve never experienced such a poor, disrespectful or horror show of a company.

Having walked into our nearest dealer in Inverness and walked out again feeling like they weren't interested we drove 170 miles to Taggarts Glasgow North and what a difference! Friendly, attentive staff, warm bright environment, genuinely decent people. We bought a car for a very decent price and walked out happy. There were a couple of really minor trim issues but without even haggling they quickly said don't worry we will be sorting that before delivery. You get the feeling they genuinely want you to walk out satisfied with every aspect of your purchase. Cars are a big buy, a good dealer makes all the difference.
