Took 6 weeks to book appointment. Cost over £700 to repaire Volvo XC90. Fault came back day after repair. No refund. Wait another 6 weeks for appointment and pay another £700, no thanks. Got price from another Volvo repair garage in Stockport, for same job £200 !!

Absolutely shocking and totally unprofessional staff, poor branch manager and unresponsive through any correspondence. Do not use this dealer. Has a terrible reputation throughout group, Volvo themselves were ok but Stockport are shite.

Appalling after sales service, such as shame as Volvo is a great brand and their sales team are also great, but avoid this place for anything post sale. Impossible to get through to them, no updates when the car is in, often don’t actually do what its in for, car in 8 times since new to fix an issue which makes is creak like a 20 year old Landrover and still ongoing, Lookers complaints team don’t follow up either so perhaps its a group issue. Do believe all the bad reviews on these groups as they are very accurate and I have experienced most of the points raised, all the positive reviews are based on the sales process which I’d concur with.

Support during sales was fine, but not all information proved accurate. Little interest or capability in diagnosing and fixing issues subsequently. Communication and coordination/ownership of actions comically appalling leading to long delays and no resolution. Any attempt to express disatisfaction met with silence, rebuttal and upon escalation told to effectively like it or lump it. No acceptance of responsibility for mistakes. No apologies. Dreadful and outdated approach to customer service/satisfaction. Made to feel a nuisance, like getting eye contact or a response is doing a massive favour. Reminds me of experience with British Leyland garage, just before they ceased trading.

For the first time ever I bought a car by just going on the internet and phone calls. Also the first time I bought a Volvo. I found Angelika to be very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The car is very smooth to drive and the seats are particularly comfortable. Much better for comfort than my mini clubman. I plan to change my car in three years and I will be definitely returning to Volvo in Stockport.

The sales team at Lookers Volvo Stockport seemed very disinterested in selling a car. Very disappointing as I have had many Volvos. I left the garage and within an hour had bought a car from another manufacturer.
