We brought a car in Feb and we thought the car was brill apart from a crack in the window screen which apparently they hadn't seen it but later fount out as the weather got hotter the aircon doesn't work either, we rang lymedale at least 10 time plus they kept saying we'll get someone to ring you back and never got the phone call, on 2 different occations they tried to say they hadn't sold us the car (which we have the paperwork stating where we brought it from) it's now past the 3 months warranty and they refuse to do anything about it. To top it off we have fount out the main earth cables have been cut and taped back together and is going coast hundreds to fix, the car was suposably giving an M.O.T the day before we picked it up and I'm pretty sure they get dodgy M.O.T's, we have a 1 year old and they knew we did and still sold us a car that is dangerous, I WOULD NOT buy a car from these and I will NEVER go back there again, useless and rude staff. They aren't interested if you have problems after you've brought the car.
The car i’ve bought a year ago has lived up to my expectations and is a great car. However, now due 2 new tyres I have discovered that the car is in fact unsafe due to a mixture of run-flat tyres and non run-flats on the same axle. This means my insurance could potentially be invalid. It makes me question the work they are having done on cars and how safe it is. I have discussed with staff at Lymedale Motors on the phone who seemed uninterested.
I've bought not one, but two cars from this dealership. My first car wouldn't start after 1 week, turns out the battery was dead. I should have learnt from this however I did decide to go back a few months later and buy a Fiat 500. I noticed a little bit of smoke coming out of the front of the car when it was first turned on and I was told that this was due to the car being sat there for a while and that a full service and MOT had been done so I thought nothing of it and I drove away happy! A few days later, a light appeared on my dash board, this turned out to be the pollen filter. I looked it up and this should have been looked at with the service so I called the dealership and they told me that they don't do a full service. This was problem number one. Problem number 2 was that the oil and filter light also came on, they also refused to look at this for me. I ended up paying another garage to fix these problems. Problem 3 was a major one. The car caught fire whilst I was driving down a bypass. It was a very scary incident, the police and fire brigade had to be called and they bypass had to be closed for safety. The car had such damage that it was written off and the police are involved as I have put a complaint in with them.
Avoid at all costs. Having purchased a car from this place it was agreed that I would pick the car up in 4 days time at 10am due to it needing a service. At 10am on the day in question the car was not ready as it had only just gone for a service and had a few problems with it. Picked up at 4pm that day. The day after the gearbox had problems so went back to be told by the sales guy that the gearbox had no problems that he could see or feel when he drove it. Same problems the day after so back to the dealer, this time the problem occurred while the salesman was driving so off to the mechanic for advice. Gearbox needs to come out and be repaired. Car booked in for certain date and time. One week later car has still not been seen by the garage as they are to busy I was told after speaking to them. Spoke to lymedale to see what they would day on the matter to be told by them that the gearbox had been sent off to be fixed, unknown to them I had spoke to the garage!!. Lies lies lies is all you will get after the sale. Avoid like the plague unless you have money to waste!!!!

It’s been over a month since I paid £18k for a vehicle that didn’t meet autotrader description as on inspection the vehicle had a missing component. Lymedale Motors committed in writing to provide the part and cover costs in few days but never complied. Lots of phone calls and email and all I got was lies and deception.

Dealt with Lymedale on numerous occasions. just had our 3rd car from them all staff excellent. We dealt with Gary Wilkes very smooth transaction from start to finish . Nothing to much trouble. All questions answered. Highly recommended
It couldn't have gone any smoother at Lymedale Motors. The Vauxhall I bought has been great. Definitely worth the visit and I'd recommend.

I viewed the vehicle i wanted online and contacted the garage. Because of the distance, i didnt view the car before purchase, my own fault , i know. I did speak to Jonathan who a Peared knowledgeable and friendly during our numerous telephone calls. When i explained that i would be buying the vehicle without visiting the garage, i asked Jonathan if there was anything i needed to know about the vehicle. He confirmed that it was well looked after, a fully stamped service book and a perfect vehicle. I transferred the cash and arranged to collect. When i arrived at the garage, they didnt know that i was collecting, Jonathan was off that day. I noticed various issues with the vehicle, including a large area of lacquered paintwork was missing from around the drivers side fog light and the drivers side electric seat was broken. I expressed my concern and nobody was interested. I asked to speak to the owner who said that he would send a part to me that would fix the seat issue, still waiting. I contacted Jonathan the following day and voiced my concerns, he stated that it mustnt have been that bad because i had driven away in it. I asked him what he planned to do to remedy the numerous issues. He replied with 'nothing now you taken the vehicle'. Stay cleared of these clowns, you will only be disappointed.
Absolutely awful attitude, Gary and johnathon were quite helpful but even so this place is a joke, sold me a car only to find out it only had 7 weeks mot, when I took it for an mot it failed, I took it back for the work to be done, picked up the car 2 days later with a fresh mot only to find out all the work hadn't been done, but got an mot to say it had, corrupt ain't the word. steer clear if I was you, never ever again, absolute joke shop

I had a Chrysler grand Voyager from them that was over £14g,the car ever morning would smoke like hell filling my driveway, over 10 times the car went back each time I was promise the car was fixed yet the next morning same problem,I took it to a main dealer who told me it would cost over £2g to fix and there was never any signs of work carried out on the car. Be warned don't get ripped off
