Wrote a review for this company re:- 1950 Daimler last year, this review still stands as I knew what I was buying when I bought it. However Martin told me if I ever wanted to change the car with him he would be open for a deal, l'm no nugget and have dealt with cars all my life. I know roughly profit margins and wriggle room in each car bought and sold, so when you give 13K which was well over what it was worth ( wife loved the car as it was like the one we were married in) and you try to do a deal on a car 15K, the last thing you expect is a joke offer of 5K cash and we can do a deal. Well no we F@&£ing can't Martin, you are not an hounerable man and anyone dealing with you should take what you say with a pinch of salt. If you buy from this company go in with eyes open, and if part of his sales patter is "if you want to change it we can do a deal" laugh in his face.

I bought a TR6 from Martin, and I am delighted with it. Martin was easy to deal with, and there was no pressure sales pitch. I looked at the car on-line, then got a friend who lives in the area to check it out in more detail for me. I decided to buy the car and travelled from Scotland to collect it in person and drive it home. I was given total freedom to thoroughly look the car over before concluding the deal. The car never faltered on the long journey North. Big smiles !!!!!

Thanks again Martin for a great car, better than expected, this is the 4th (and 3rd review here) I’ve brought from you now and can’t recommend to people enough, honest, knowledgeable & no hard sell keep up the good work. 👍

Where do I start ? Oh yeah do yourself a favour and don't get involved , with this "Mickey Mouse" outfit ! Spoke extensively with owner of M & M Automotive, by both email & phone calls/texts . A deal was agreed of ie :- My 2 modern immaculate Jaguars , in exchange for a so called "Immaculate 1969 Rover 2000" and £850 Payed to myself. Come the 11th hour , owner says because he wasn't in the office , when he calculated the deal , he had miscalculated and couldn't honour the deal ! In point of fact , it turns out , he was at a party and had been drinking !! Also by his own admission he is "numerically dyslexic" . A new deal is finally agreed , whereby he delivers the Rover and collects my 2 Jaguars with no cash payment to myself . Said Rover arrived this morning on a truck , set up resembled that which was attending a "Banger Race" !! The Rover looking like it should be entered in one !! It hadn't even been cleaned !! My other half looked around car with me and like myself , couldn't believe it was the same car , detailed in the advert !! As for the alleged "Respray" in year 2000 …. I've had painters do better job with a roller !! There were body panels not fitting properly and with more ripples than a "Raspberry Ice cream" The Rover was promptly sent away . Thank god I didn't pay for delivery "Upfront" as requested !! This car is not an appreciating classic ! At best it's a Project Restoration ! One trip away from the scrapyard ! I will compliment M&M on 2 counts 1 very clever photography and 2 very clever wording... normally called "Bullshit"! I was so convinced by these guys , I stupidly ordered a set of age related number plates and a workshop manual totalling £57.00 but the financial sting could of been a lot worse !!! I bought an excellent TR6 from Martin / James at M&M and am delighted with my purchase. I have a large smile every time I get in the car - it’s fabulous Many thanks to the team who delivered everything I wanted and we agreed . Great service I will no doubt be back to M & M Automotive in the future

The car I bought from M & M Automotive was checked over by a mechanic or so they said, drove it over an hour home to find it had leaked oil from the breather pipes at the top of the engine. This SHOULD have been checked it could have blown the engine up. I called asking them to take a look they said to call back, which I did with no response at all.

Bought a used 23 year old Honda CRX from M&M Automotive. Was as exactly as described, James was very professional and helpful as was Martin: No pressure sales and was left to give the car a good look over and test drive.Very pleasant location and no hassles.Martin the delivery chap was also very good and helpful good early delivery as promised 6:15am, as requested, Would thoroughly recommend this company, very good customer service and products. Bought a 1950 Daimler in the beginning of 2018 from M & M Automotive. Intended to buy a Mustang but Martin gave us all the information we needed on buying one, and even warned us that they were not all they are cracked up to be. Left us alone and even told us "keys are in take what you want for a test drive". True to his word Mustangs look good but that's about it, hence the purchase of said Daimler. Fortunately I know my way around a spanner and you CAN NOT buy an old car and expect perfection, I am currently working my way through the jobs list to make it spot on but that's the fun of owning an old car. Don't whinge when you find your classic needs work you haven't got the ability to do yourself, go buy a Kia with 7 years warranty. No pressure to buy and all the info given to help you decide, would recommend M&M to anyone.

Bought a car from M & M Automotive to find out it was basically a fake . Went through loads of correspondence and felt assured of a solution . Nothing happened over 12 months and I have reported them to trading standards . The option I have is to take them to court . Understanding the costs would put way the loss I feel obliged to walk away . The owner talks the talk and very knowingly knows the cost versus risk is on his side . My advise it don’t trust a word or even consider any of those cars in the plastic greenhouse or indeed showroom dont believe a word what they say .
