I bought a jaguar x-type from Neil at Maidstone car company. For a very fair price. I was impressed with the effort he put in to check history and replace some small damaged or missing parts. Definitely more than I would expect as standard. The real proof in the pudding was when the car developed a significant oil leak a month after purchase. Neil took it back immediately and had the problem fixed (leak from case for cam chain due to clumsy attempt to replace by previous mechanic). No fuss despite the fact I think he was genuinely shocked that the car had developed a problem. They even leant me a car for a few days while it was sorted. As a wise man once said... “cars go wrong sometimes, no matter what you do. It’s what you do after that matters”. These guys do what they promised. Great service. Highly recommend.

2008 Freelander fair price for car in very good condition. polite and courteous staff, small problem with lost paperwork but quickly sorted, quick to answer texts messages. would definitely recommend Maidstone Car Company.

We had been debating on changing our car for a while but due to the low amount of mileage that we do we didn’t want an all singing and dancing top of the range car so we came across a Volvo C30 at Maidstone Car Co which was within budget but had quite a good spec and reasonable mileage. We booked a viewing as we live over an hour from Maidstone and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the car. We saw the car as it was without being valeted so we were able to mention a few minor things that we would like to have resolved before completing our purchase. Once happy we confirmed our purchase with deposit. I would like to point out at this point that we were in no way pressurised into a quick buy or hurried deposit. After we paid our deposit and checking work was completed as promised we picked up our car. Both points of contact had kept us updated on progress of the car and considering we had wanted an MOT, service, internal valet and a slight door dent rectified a weeks wait didn’t seem unreasonable. Whilst it may be early days since we brought the car it drove well and we wouldn’t have any problems recommending this company for anyone looking for a budget or second hand car.

I purchased two cars from Maidstone Car Company, never had any problems,didnt even bother with a test drive,most recently in July my lovelly peugeot 207cc sport. purchasers have the option to get a second opinion if they want its up to you.. a very happy customer.

Of the five cars I have owned since I passed my test some 25 years ago, four of them (including the current one) were bought from Maidstone Car Company. That should tell you everything you need to know. The other one, since you ask, was bought in a desperate hurry from a mate at work, after I totalled my lovely Skoda on the M20. Had I the time I would have had no hesitation in buying yet another from them. The only problem I encountered was posting this review. God, the internet can be annoying, eh?

Have reported Maidstone Car Compmany to the Police, Trading Standards, VOSA and various other bodies and will keep reporting them over and over again. Having viewed one of their cars went away to think about it and view other vehicles elsewhere, saw another similar vehicle around same price but wasn't to keen on the colour, so approximately 4 days later called Maidstone Car Company to agree a price on their vehicle, a deposit was paid via bank transfer and within 24hours went to collect vehicle, upon arrival was ushered into their shabby rundown offices to do the paperwork, however as the car was not anywhere to be seen I asked to see the car first as I wanted to check it over, it transpired they had clearly hidden it in another car park to avoid me seeing the poor condition it was now in, hoping I would do the paperwork and hand over the rest of the money, reluctantly the car was driven back to the garage, the vehicle was now covered in scratches all over but mainly on a rear door, there was also some kind of bad repair done to the rear bumper with filler that hadn't been rubbed down and hand painted, there was lacquer peeling off the vehicles rear wheel arch and the car was appallingly filthy inside and out having been parked under a tree, no attempt had been made to clean it whatsoever, now this was a £3000 car not new I appreciate that but 100% not the condition I had seen it days earlier, because of this I then refused to buy the Car, a lady working there by the name of Cara agreed to refund deposit, however before I left the boss an old man called George returned the car onto the forecourt and I watched in disbelief as he then rammed the car into another one behind on the forecourt, he then pulled forward and reversed again ramming the same car and catching the wall on the offside same area where the damage was I had seen earlier, I now knew how this previous damage had occurred. Next day I contacted garage regarding my deposit which should have been transferred back to me only to be told of my £500 deposit only £250 would be returned, reason being they "claimed" they had serviced the car prior to sale which they had told me would be done as a matter of course anyway before I even agreed to buy it, and also unbelievably someone else in the 24hour period of me paying deposit and going to collect it wanted that car but was turned away, amazingly car was still there two weeks later , So do yourself a massive favour, STEER CLEAR OF THESE. --> MAIDSTONE CAR COMPANY, I am currently in process of taking them to court and will go to the highest court if necessary, don't care if it costs me more money, I am also reporting them continually to every available body that I can find, it's not just about the money, its the principal ------> DONT BUY FROM THEM ----> BE WARNED!!!!
