Brought a used car from Mangoletsi Knutsford in good faith only to find it has a major issue which will cost me hundreds and their attitude is 'it's not their problem' Find another dealer as the reviews all suggest and save yourself the hassle.

Went to Mangoletis Knutsford today from stoke former platts customer this dealer ship is not worth going to we spent over 30min in showroom not even spoken to not like it was busy there ,probably dont need money wont be going back.
I can’t advise strongly enough to never ever purchase a vehicle from Mangoletsi in Knutsford. Bought a Fiat 500X 65 plate, in the 6 months of owning it encountered these problems: Faulty parking brake Broken air conditioning Screen wash leaking into rear passanher footwell Coolant leaking & car overheating Computer problems False warning lights I really don’t believe any pre-sale checks were carried out. They are very happy to take your money but don’t expect much after buying from them. Never ever again!!

I bought a car from Mangoletsi many years ago and their service was rubbish, I swore I would never buy another from them but they had what I wanted and I thought they could not get worse. How wrong can you be. Despite people telling me they are bad I still went ahead. I have had issues with he car that they managed to dodge the bullet on and basically fobbed me off, I say again, Never again!
Useless. Just driven down to test drive a new Abarth. Rang ahead to ensure they had one available before setting off. Arrived and completed all the forms. Salesman then spends 30 minutes huffing and puffing round the forecourt as he doesn’t seem to know anything about the cars he has in stock. Finally told he doesn’t have anything and just walks off.
Purchased an Alfa 159 ti 2.0jtdm sportwagon in November from Mangoletsi Knutsford at a premium price thinking that would be sensible. Given that I've had several cars from mangoletsi in the past Inc fiat coupe turbo le, 2x v6 spiders, and always thought their service and honesty was beyond reproach. When I went to pick my 13k car up I had to wait 2 hours as they were fixing a binding front caliper issue, great no problem, found and sorted. Roll forward to living with permanently squealing brakes, thought they might just need copper grease, alas no. The technician has sorted caliper but left damaged inside disc on! Knowingly. Mechanic showed me and took picture of one fine disc one damaged due to caliper issue in past. Wouldn't do anything, struggled to get communication back. Spoke to gm but never heard anything again. Trust is gone and I won't use mangoletsi again. I'm sure fraser Hudson would be disappointed in others damaging his previously great business. Shame.

Having bought an Alfa Mito brand new in 2016, i took it for it's first Major service as per the schedule, i asked Mangoletsic Knutsford to check the rear brakes as i felt they were binding a little, upon completion of the service the technician informed me that they had indeed checked the rear brakes and that the rear callipers needed stripping down and cleaning and that this would cost me £68, i refused and said that if the callipers were not operating correctly then this should be done under warranty, I was told brakes were a serviceable item and as such were not covered under warranty, i took the car away and had a second opinion from an independent engineer who informed me that the callipers were ceased solid and that effectively i had been driving as if the hand brake was partly on, also they had never seen grease in their life and that the pads were in need of being replaced as they were worn down to just above the indicator wires, all this on a car that was less than 2 years old and had only done 12,000 miles, he also told me that the wheels had never been off the car as they were ceased to the hub and had to be knocked off using a rubber mallet, so how could they have checked the brakes properly with the wheels on? I returned to Mangoletsi and informed them of this to no avail, in the end £100 for new pads on a car less than 2 years old. Air con then stopped blowing cold air only warm, i took it to Mangoletsi who said it would be £70+ to check it, if a fault was found then there would be no charge, they checked it found NO leaks or faults but then charged me £58 for a re-gas, at no time was i asked if i wanted the re-gas they just did it, i queried as to why this wasn't done under warranty and was told a re-gas wasn't covered so i said so if there were no leaks or faults where had all the gas gone and therefore why did it need a re-gas, also if there was no faults or leaks why has the £70+ been wavered and only the charge of the re-gas applied i didn't get a satisfactory answer just, "well nothing is totally air tight sir, gas leaks away over time" to that i said, what all of it in less than two years, he then said well we do recommend that you have the system checked and serviced every two years, to which i said well it's not even two years old yet, so i still had to pay £56, UTTER DISGRACE OF A DEALER!!!!!!!

Martin in response to Brakes and air conditioning Alfa Mito
Aircon gas does leak out over time, how long it lasts depends on how often the aircon is used. If you don’t use it much the seals dry out and it leaks out faster. Once the gas quantity gets below about 60% the aircon will stop working, so it’s likely you didn’t lose all the gas. And no, regassing the aircon is not covered under the warranty on most vehicles.
Thank you to Paul and everyone at Mangoletsi with the purchase of my Fiat 500C Collezione. I had a terrible experience the week before with another national dealership and Paul restored my faith in salesmen. My hunt and purchase was done all by phone and I had not seen the car I bought until I picked it up. Since it was my 3rd Fiat 500 purchase in 7 years, I knew what I wanted and they found the right 500 for me. My Fifi is absolutely perfect. Thanks everyone!
